Mendelson Autobody

Brought my Mercedes in for some repair work on the hood. The staff at Mendelson was responsive and organized, and the job cost came in just as quoted. The work done was superior and I am very pleased. I highly recommend them for any body work needed.

My 2007 Acura TL got rear-​ended and the entire left rear quarter panel and bumper was crushed in. Mendelson did the most amazing repair on the car, I swear it looks like it just came back from the factory. Ted is so nice to work with, he helped work with State Farm on the claim, and overall was the best auto repair experience I’ve ever had.

I recently had the front bumper and fender repaired on my 2013 Tahoe. The overall customer experience and repair work at Mendelson was awesome. From the start I was well informed on what to expect and how long the repair would take. When additional damage was found under my front bumper Ted contacted me right away to explain the damage and he got Geico involved to cover the additional cost. The work was completed in a week as promised and the parts were replaced with very quality parts. The finished repair on the truck looks great! They even wash your vehicle before you pick it up. I highly recommend Mendelson and I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Ted, and his entire collision repair staff, did a great job on my vehicle. They are very friendly and professional. The work was done on time and on budget, and they kept me informed throughout the process. Based on my experience, I highly recommend them.

First, let me say, that I am extremely particular about my car. It’s a black convertible. I took it in for some insurance work, and wasn’t completely happy with the work the first time around. Most people would have been satisfied, but having been raised by a car dealer, I know what to look for, and I demanded the best. Ted, the owner, paid for a rental car, and redid the work on my car until it was up to my expectations. I would recommend his shop because of this customer service and his standing behind his work. That is what you get when you deal with a small business.

I brought in the benz after being a crappy parker. I mean, really crappy parking, where I scraped it once, and also sort of parked on a root so that it sort of pulled off the front end.
Ted took it for a couple days, dropped it off at my office, and it was cleaned, washed, and looks good again. It’s so nice to have someone give great service like that.

They repaired my front end as well as the rear bumper, might as well get it all taken care of in one shot. The work was impeccable and looks fantastic!
My front light covers were all clouded from the sun and they were brought back to new life without any charge. They took paint off from a previous painting job where they had painted over chrome, no charge!
The car was cleaned inside and out and returned to me in almost new condition even though my car is 10 years old!

I stopped by the shop to see if they could buff out a few surface scratches on my car. I am selling it and wanted it to look brand new. To my surprise they cleaned it up for free and simply said «bring your next car to us»…
Wow. The owner is a good guy.

I had severely scratched up my car while trying to remove sap. Most of the damage was to the clear coat, but I managed to scratch some of the paint as well… Mendelson did a fantastic job to restore the problem areas to near perfect conditions. Thanks guys.

I recently took my Volkswagen Passat in for an estimate after being rear ended. The owner was friendly and helpful. He not only provided me with an estimate but advised me on what my options may be if the car is considered totaled. I recommend this trustworthy shop to anybody!

The service here is great. People are really friendly and my car always looks brand new. Would highly recommend. It’s almost a quick car ride from Enterprise Rent a Car and they will even pick you up at the shop.

This review is long overdue. I took my car to Mendelson Autobody for paint damage on my trunk. Mr. Mendelson took time to figure out the best fix for my car and explained all my options to me. I opted for a «cheaper» paint job, since my car is on the older side. He warned me that there might be a slight color difference, but that was okay with me.
My car was repaired a day earlier than I was promised. After Mr. Mendelson’s warnings of a color variation, I was a little concerned that the repair would be really obvious. I couldn’t believe it when I saw my car. The color looked identical to the rest of my car — you never would have known it had been painted. The damage was completely gone. And I paid less than half of what other autobody shops were quoting me.
I would go back to Mr. Mendelson for any autobody needs. Thank you for making my car look beautiful!

This is the best experience I have ever had with an auto body shop!
My husband’s truck had rust spots on the roof due to faulty primer. We took the truck to several places for quotes. When we got to Mendelson’s the staff was very friendly and explained each part of the quote, not just giving me a total cost.
The great part was that their quote was between 20% and 25% less than the other shops in the area.
We dropped off the truck and it was ready a few days later; the time they had said it would be ready. The work was great, it looks like a brand new truck and you would never be able to tell that anything was done.
I recommend this shop to anyone with any auto body needs. They are professional, on time, stick to the quoted price and very friendly.

I could not be happier with this excellent body shop. The repairs needed were extensive and they were not only able to obtain all original parts on time, but the craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail was impressive. The car ended up looking better than new, and the is perhaps the greatest compliment you can give.
Mr Mendelson himself takes care of you; he is a very nice and kind man. I will highly recommend his shop to anyone.

I took my Porsche to Ted because another body shop didn’t feel comfortable with some work that I personally did on my car. Long story short: I rebuilt part of my car a few years ago. Now I can’t spend 3 days repairing body work since I have kids and flying airplanes keeps my busy (grin). Isn’t that what auto insurance is for anyway… so we can enjoy our lives while things get fixed? Mine is USAA and they are wonderful.
My buddy Minkz (below) brought his car here as well. He’s picky, so I know Mendelson’s passed some scrutiny.
Ted’s staff is courteous & professional. They performed the repairs like it was their own vehicle. And they did superb work because they know it will be seen by 1000’s of people. Very nice, caring owners who do great work on cars. I had my dark gray BMW taken in for some small repairs. As promised, that part of the car looked new. And he gave me a good deal on some buffing work, too.
I would go there again and recommend them to others.

You will not be disappointed

Do not use this shop. They do not care about quality. They only care about the sale and spin you a story to hook you. Shame on me for buying it!
They talk a good sell but their quality of work leaves a lot to desired. I took my Honda Accord in to them after being rear ended. I met the owner who gave me quote to have bumper and trunk lid replaced. His quote was quite a bit higher than some of the other surrounding shops but he was very personable and I liked the «small biz» aspect he conveyed. He assured me he personally does the QA inspection on any work.
Got my car back and the insert for my cup-​holder was missing. I told the shop manager about it and reacted as if I were lying. I insisted they replace it and he reluctantly made a call for replacement.
Brought my car home and in the light of my garage I could see a whole slew of scratches on one side of the trunk lid. On the inside of the trunk I could see stickers that were on the trunk lid that had just been painted over (rather than removed before painting over).
I brought my car back to point out the scratches and the shop manager said he couldn’t see anything. He has one of his guys try to buff the lid just so he could «blow off the crazy guy». I took home and still could see swirly scratches. Fine, I’ll live with it as I can’t keep taking time off to go deal with these shysters.
After first heavy rain, I open my trunk lid and discover water is leaking into the inside of one of my tail lights. Every time I open the trunk, water drips into my trunk from the tail light.
