Fur Pal Grooming Spa

Called and was able to make a last minute appointment. Dropped off my pekingese, and a little over an hour later, she was ready. Service is great, fast, and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. And most importantly my Chloe seemed happy, looked amazing, and smelled wonderful. We will return if/​when in the area. Highly recommended.

I don’t give 5 Stars unless the business goes above and beyond and that’s certainly what happened on my first visit to Fur Pals. I live in the neighborhood and as I was leaving Walgreens, I decided to drive by the shopping center across the street because I thought I saw a new business. Well sure enough, there was a new business and it was Fur Pals. I paid a ton of money, had to go through an intense interview with the breeder and even sign a contract for my Portuguese Water Dog, «Nalu». So, trust me, I take extremely good care of my dog. I don’t take him to just any groomer either. So, I walked into Fur Pals just to get a vibe, before making the decision to leave Nalu there for a few hours. I was instantly put to ease when the first thing I saw was a Mother and her two young children. The kids were very well behaved, writing on a desk and watching television and Mom greeted us professionally and in a very kind sincere manner. The positive energy made Nalu feel as if he were at home. We chatted with the owner for a few minutes and she clearly understood how we wanted Nalu’s haircut, and I decided to proceed. The owner opened the gate, called Nalu and he immediately went with her into the crate. I was surprised he went with her and into the crate without any hesitance or resistance, especially since I was still there. More good feelings! I left and returned three hours later and he looked great! The owner did an excellent job and really paid close attention to details, giving him the exact look we wanted. Unlike other places we’ve tried, no nicks or cuts that Nalu would lick and get infected. The part that really amazed me, where the 5 Stars is deserved, is when the owner told me that Nalu had to his stuff and she took him out to do it. He went both number one and two. She mentioned that number two was not solid and she made sure he was cleaned up afterwards. Her two kids even chimed in, so I know that really happened! Cute kids by the way! I’ve never been to a groomer to have such an experience. I always take him home and the first thing Nalu does is run to the yard and let out what he was holding for hours! Fur Pals just opened a couple months ago. So, like me, there are many people that have no clue that they’re in business. I hate to say this, but it won’t be long before the word is out and I’m afraid that the owner will become so busy that I’ll have to wait weeks to book Nalu. Call me selfish, but I really hope that this doesn’t happen. I plan to take Nalu back earlier than usual so the owner will recognize me as a VIP customer and find ways to get Nalu in, even if she gets slammed by all the new clients. Took my aunt and uncles dog here to be fixed after I tried to play groomers lol I can’t cut hair at all. They did great and she seemed very happy after which was nice. Thank you!!!

Took crazy dog in and she came out with nails well trimmed and smelling lovely. The prices are reasonable. Ears are clean, her anal glands are squeaky clean too (I assume), and they gave her a festive holiday bandanna that matched my daughter’s ridiculous Frozen Elsa dress. We will be back.

I brought my 2 year old Maltipoo here after my normal groomer had a booking snafu. I was very pleased with the results. Cathy listened to my requests and was warm and affectionate with our pup. She did a fantastic job. We will be back.
