Category: It’s there if you need it. For those who work at Bishop Ranch 15, Cactus Café Too(not a misspelling; this is what is on the window) is the only public restaurant in the immediate area. In that way, it’s like Microsoft of the 1990s: When you have a monopoly, there’s no reason to improve. It’s a cute café, clean and spacious. I take lunch early, and when I walked in, the entire staff looked and smiled, waiting for my order. It’s the kind of place where cubedwellers would have lunch nearly every day. I wouldn’t want to. I had the Cowboy, which has brisquet and cole slaw. The taste was quite bland. The cole slaw was so juicy that it smothered whatever other taste there was. I know cowboy; I grew up 10 miles from the Cowboy Capitol of the World, and married a native Texan. And this is nothing like you’d have in Oakdale or Silsbee, and it’s a lot worse. Cactus Café Too is there if you can’t get away for more than a few minutes. But it’s not much effort to drive or walk to either Crow Canyon or Bollinger Canyon and have a better sandwich.

I work in Bishop Ranch where Cactus is located and have been there many times, but I will no longer patronize them. The prices are extremely too high for what you get and I have noticed that they charge tax on every single item when more than one item is purchased. When I mentioned something to the sales clerk about the prices she became very nasty. I just said thank you and I’ll be taking my money elsewhere.

-*-* 3.5 Stars *-*- Cactus Café isn’t a bad option for those who work in the surrounding offices as a breakfast, lunch, or quick bite option. But honestly, let’s be clear: you are paying for convenience. The primary complaint is that the prices are pretty steep, but it is to be expected granted you don’t have to get in your car and head over to a restaurant to get your grub on. I personally don’t see this as my go-to place for an everyday meal, but it’s perfect for when you forget to eat breakfast or your lunch at home or can’t leave the office for too long. From the moment I walked in(it was my first time at the café) the workers were hospitable and accommodating! I came in through the doors closest to the fountain and wasn’t sure how the whole process even worked and the worker at the register smiled at me and told me to go in line at the opposite side of the storefront. When ordering, the worker answered all my questions and was patient with me as I made my decision! From my experience the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. :) I ended up ordering the day’s special, which was a Tuna Avocado Sandwich that also came with a side salad. The meal was larger than I anticipated and was super filling! Also, I was pleased to see they were not stingy with their avocado portions. I think I had an entire avocado in my sandwich! Yum. For my side salad, I opted for the Raspberry Balsamic Vinaigrette(because I’m a fan of trader Joe’s version of this) but I don’t know how much I would recommend this dressing. It was too tart and not as sweet as I originally hoped. All in all though the sandwich and salad tastes very fresh. They have daily specials so look out for those and they also do serve Starbucks Coffee and have fountain drinks, canned/bottles drinks and coffee, and granola bars/snacks/etc. available for purchase. There’s seating inside and a few tables outside if you choose to «dine-in/near» Cactus. Overall, I can see myself returning since I work in Bishop Ranch but I don’t see myself becoming s regular anytime soon. TIPS. — If you’re paying w/card, you need to spend $ 5 minimum. — You can view their menu online! Hopefully the website will be updated soon… as it said(but honestly who knows???) because it said«coming soon» patrons can order their meals online! Now that would be awesome. :) — If you’re not too hungry they also have ½ sandwich and ½ soup or salad options as well!

Good place. As most people who come here, I also work in the building. Their chicken quesadillas are good, but I’ve personally mostly had their breakfast stuff. I love the breakfast food they have because it’s quick. The burritos are ~relatively~ small but they are pretty good. I like getting the burrito with sausage and add avocado. I think what I really like is the friendly staff. They are nice to chat with.

Food is okay; great staff but, personally find the prices bit too high. Not too many options as well. Vegan delights are to the minimum.

This café is literally right next to my office so it’s my go to when I don’t feel like driving or forgot my lunch. I have to give them a shout out for the french dip. Ahhhh man, nothing like a good french dip with sauce so good you literally let your bread soak every drop. I also tried the breakfast croissant this morning and would recommend. I know this place gets packed but for the price and convieneve, it’s good. PS: The chili with onion and cheese is on point on a rainy day!

Ok café when you’re in a pinch. They have gotten better over the years for sure. I wouldn’t recommend their chicken breast though, its processed.

I work in the office building next to here. The prices are high for the quality received. Recently I was charged for a large soft drink when I ordered a regular size drink. When I asked, the lady insisted she charged me correctly. I did not want to argue with the lady so I just paid the extra change and went on my way. I feel like I’ve been overcharged many times, but go because it is the only place walking distance to where I work. It’s the owner who typically overcharges me. I enjoy going there when someone else is working the cash register or if she is not there. I was once with a co-worker and he had cash in his wallet, he wanted to pay with his credit/debit card. The owner saw the cash and asked that he pay with the cash. She talks in a sweet voice and smiles, but I have to admit it comes across as fake. I feel ripped off when I go here. That’s just my opinion.

I love the english muffin with egg and bacon. The owner is a very friendly woman. My order is taken and filled very quickly. They have a huge selection of sandwiches and their specials are usually pretty good.

Super convenient location, service is quick and menu options range from breakfast, lunch and snacks. They offer salads, california rolls, sandwiches hot and cold, breakfast sandwiches etc. Soups are okay, chili is not bad. The ladies here will literally take your order and make your order within minutes. Prices are typical office building prices. Come on by if you are looking for a quick office lunch or a hearty breakfast sandwich.

Pretty good café for an office building. The ladies working here are super nice. They have an extensive menu. I think a few popular items are grilled cheese, grilled cheese + ham, and salads. These are generally what I hear people order during the lunch hour rush. I got the turkey avocado club sandwich on dutch crunch roll. The sandwich was good BUT the amount of avocado was pathetic. Since I specifically ordered a turkey avocado sandwich, I expect more. I think I was merely given ¼ or less of an avocado. Luckily this was the only downfall to my food. There was a good amount of turkey and no excess mayonnaise or mustard. Overall, I had a good lunch with a nice size sandwich. They also have specials, so keep an eye out for that. There’s also good amount of seating, even out door seating. The turn over rate is fast, and the people here wipe down tables pretty prompt.

They have a decent selection of food and the staff is friendly. A little on the high price and since it is the only option in Bishop Ranch 15 you are pretty much stuck with them. At least they have an ATM for people who need it.

Cactus has always been that«Oh if I HAVE to go there…» type of place. 1 star for the über-friendly staff. Everyone is always smiling and eager to help. ½ star for the food. There is only one item on the menu that I will fall back on. That’s the Shrimp Salad & Avocado sandwich. YUM. Everything else has always been a hit or miss. Too salty, too bland, too oily, etc. 1 ½ stars for convenience. They get THE vote for Most Convenient eatery in the area. I work in the building next door, and when I’m crunched for time and don’t have food from home and absolutely have no other alternative ~ Cactus has been a lifesaver. Cactus is perfect for that on-the-go-instant-gratification-don’t-care-about-your-wallet fix. Otherwise, go with Plan B.

I work in the same building and sometimes eat lunch there. They’ve got excellent sandwiches, salads, and a friendly staff who always smile and greet you. The food is great every time!
