Friendly owners and dogs are there in the morning. All ok. Dog walkers bring more than 4 clients’ dogs including small breed ones to the big dog area daily. They should limit the intake up to 3, which is specified on the sign at the gate.

:) –Lots of parking spaces –Both the big dog area and the small dog area are quite sizeable –Pooper scoopers provided and people are good about cleaning up after their pooch –Water fountains conveniently located for people and dogs –After a hard rain, there’s very few puddles and no mud :( –A dog walker had 7 or 8 of her client’s dogs with her in the big dog area: the posted limit is 3 dogs per person –A lady brought her dog(a breed known for aggression) into the big dog fenced area. Then she left the fenced area, sat on a bench and chatted with a friend-posted rules: «Dog owner must be with their dog(s) within the fenced area at all times…» –The overhead electric towers and wires are an eyesore Note: The parking lot entrance is on Stoneleaf Road

Convenient neighborhood dog park with friendly pups and owners. The only downsides are no shade and no grass.

There’s plenty of room to run. But no grass, no shade other than by the fences. But very little. My dog gets too hot.

While there is a lot of space to run around, there is absolutely no shade and only 1 picnic table(i.e., virtually no seating). On Sunday morning before 10:30, no one is there, either.

I totally dig this park location. it is located in the upper hills of Blackhawk and my nephew had a 2 day soccer tournament there over the weekend and we braved out the 95 degree weather. The park itself is in a great neighborhood and can’t give it enough stars to show the appreciation what money can do to a park. You go to other parks and the bathroom is the 1st thing that is a mess but here the place is sparkling clean. Yes it is out or the way but if you had a peace of mind of going to place that you would feel safe then you may be going there as well. Parkalicious rocks

I like more things about this park than I thought I would. I’m not a dog park person but decided to check it out anyways. The 6 acres is a great amount of space having 2 designated spaces; one designated for small dogs and one for large dogs. We went on a hot day and the ground level water fountain came in handy — GREAT idea! I like that this park keeps the little guys and the big guys apart. There is enough space to run a good amount and not feel cramped. Space is always good when having dogs together. This park also has plenty of benches too. I do think this park needs more shade. It gets so hot, the sand gets hot, and before you know it — you have tired hot cranky dogs. Luckily, the sprinklers were on when we were leaving and we ran through them to cool off. :) Lastly, and I’m not sure how this would or could be addressed but when you walk down the path to get to the entrance of ur designated section, you have to walk along the fence of the small dog section. We had several dogs run up to the fence and growl and bark at us. Luckily, we were going to the big dog section but I think that can cause some issues that people need to be aware of. Dogs on leashes don’t like dogs off leashes running and barking at them regardless if they are behind a fence. All in all though — I love this par; its spacious, clean, and organized. For not being a fan of dog parks, I was very impressed. I will visit each time I am in town!
