These guys are pros. Our little rat family has bit the dust, and quickly, due to Todd’s comprehensive, thorough, professional approach. And rat friends are NOT getting in again, as the crew came and patched up the entries these critters were using. 7 rats, the mites that came with them, and the holes in our home (6) all completely gone and all fixed for a reasonable price. Very happy with their service!

We had a issue with insect bites in our bed room and first we called a bed bug company. They just did the spray without detecting the bed bug and charged us $ 1,500. Then, the situation didn’t improve. We called a K-​9 bed bug detection company and it turned out that we had no bed bugs. They suspect it might be some kind of mites. They recommended The Hitmen Termite & Pest Control and I gave it a shot. My technician, Vince came over and treated the bed room and set up some traps and rodent traps outside since our backyard is facing an open field.
Also, we had a lot of spider webs and insects outside even though we had a bi-​monthly pest control service from other company. So we switched to The Hitmen Termite & Pest Control for the bi-​monthly pest control and Vince always spends good amount of time spraying eco friendly material thoroughly even arbors and fences, setting up rodent traps and removing all spider webs.
We are very happy to have service from them and they really respect our unique family situation such as dogs and a baby.

I needed a simple pest inspection to complete the processing of a Refinance of a VA Loan. Received a quote for the Section 1, while, I wasn’t happy with the total cost
, the local Manager for the area where my home is located, called me proactively and broke down the costs for me with 2 experienced professionals, and materials. The fact that this company proactively reached out to me to provide a breakdown of their costs tells me this is a great company to do business with. Their repairmen were excellent and efficient with the work they performed. Recommend Hitmen for your dry rot or termite work!

I swore I would NEVER write a negative Unilocal review but my interaction with HITMEN has been so terrible that I feel obligated to alert others about staying away from this service. In December, a crew arrived at my house to do a $ 400 ‘exclusion service’ for rodents. This service (sealing up holes on the outside of the property), combined with a monthly visit (at $ 105), was meant to rid my home of these pests. From the onset of the exclusion, however, mice droppings continued to be found inside my house and while a serviceman named Manuel came to lay old-​fashioned mousetraps in various rooms, not a single rodent was ever caught. Come April (all the while I’m paying my $ 105 each month), I could hear these pests squeaking behind my refrigerator. When I phoned to complain, I was told that HITMEN would do another exclusion – though I would have to pay another $ 400 for the privilege to which reluctantly I agreed. An appointment was made; an appliance man came out to pull the refrigerator from the wall; the appointed day for the exclusion arrived but Matt, the serviceman assigned to our property, didn’t show. Two days later, a new serviceman named Scott showed up, claiming that Matt was ‘on vacation.’ Not knowing the layout of the property or where to look for problems, Scott wandered around and promptly left – saying he’d return three days later with Matt and together they’d perform the exclusion. Three days later, Scott again showed up, alone – wandered around and in 10 minutes left – he’d return, he said, the following week, with Matt (still on vacation) to do the exclusion. This morning – at 7AM, Scott showed up, again alone, again for 5 minutes, with the excuse that Matt was sick – in the hospital, he said. So, here I am, with rodents in my house, a refrigerator in the middle of the kitchen, a whole lot of time lost, a great deal of money spent, and a lot of stonewalling.

These guys scheduled an appointment here without notifying us in advance, and then sprayed a liquid application on our tree in the midst of a driving rainstorm… needless to say the expensive tree medication was completely wasted on the wet surface and further diluted by the deluge during which it was applied. When confronted with their error in judgement, they suggested a second visit — same thing happened again. Apparently, their calendar dictates the visit — not whether the existing conditions permit an effective application.
I’ve got to believe there are better ways to handle this — rainy winters notwithstanding.

I am going to re-​evaluate my review, based on a responsive call from Hitmen’s management.
Someone — apparently in a position of authority — reached out and has offered to revisit the situation and take appropriate steps to make things right. I have to credit «Mike» for this gesture. He seems sincere and it’s reassuring that the Hitmen will stand behind their service and product.

Excellent service! I called the office set up an appointment from 10am to noon. At 10 they showed up (Mike). He was very personable, handled the call very professionally. He will follow up in 7 days. I was very impressed with his service and the company overall. I have them now out every two months, well worth it!

3 stars to be fair, but would NOT recommend to a friend due to cost-​efficiency. We recommend looking up your county’s Vector Control Services (free) first.
Our experience reflects rodent control. We felt the business practice was not cost-​efficient. We had noise in our attic and scheduled an inspection. The inspection itself was thorough, and we were satisfied with that service alone. They estimated us over $ 700 in repairs (which is expected if you want to seal up every little nook and cranny), and we opted out. The same day as inspection, they set traps in the attic and started a protocol of checking every 7 – 10 days. Each trap check is $ 45 thereafter (minimum 2 checks). The question is: why would you set traps when we haven’t sealed up the holes yet? I called to schedule repairs, and they said they were booked out 3+ weeks. Paying for trap checks in the interim seems like a waste of money if entry-​point repairs have yet to be complete (meaning, the rats can be ‘trapped’ but can continue to enter the attic). I understand it is a business to make money, but in hindsight, we felt taken advantage of, and The Hitmen services was not cost-​efficient. Note: our inspector/​serviceman was excellent.
Shortly after, we found out about Vector Control Services, which is a FREE inspection service that you pay for in your property taxes. They come to your home, inspect, and make recommendations. Our inspector showed us the most likely entry point. I took a picture, went to OSH and asked for their recommendations, bought a $ 4 pack of steel-​wool, plugged a gap around a vertical pipe, and haven’t had a problem since. We understand this is not a professional fix, but certainly a COST-​EFFICIENT first step.

These guys are real crooks. I purchased a home four years ago and they had completely tented the place for termites. They had a three year guarantee on their work. Before the three year guarantee was up I called to have them inspect the house in case there was anything that needed to be corrected before their guarantee ran out. They sent a guy who spent about 15 minutes walking around the house and then declared all was good. No questions, no look inside the house. Turns out I now that I have dry wood termites that have been there all along. They want to charge me $ 1000 to take care of the problem — even though their guy didn’t catch it — because they say I am now outside of the window of their original guarantee. The guy who came out and diagnosed the problem heard my concerns and said his supervisor would call me. Funny, three days later I still haven’t heard from anybody …

I feel like an idiot. In the process of getting all my food out, I completely forgot about my plants. So most of them died, but I did see that whomever was in charge of getting things together was nice enough to bag up some of my food in the freezer and take my plants out for air after they had been poisoned. I don’t really have a company with whom to compare, but it was a positive experience.

If you have any bug, ants or any kind of pest problem call these People there the best in the business. They know what there doing and have a 100 percent guarantee on there work. I had a bad ant problem and there very smart and highly trained technicians will come out and find the problem and set up a plan and put the plan in to work. And last they will follow up with you on the work that was done. I was told I should see no more ants in a weeks time. THEY WERE GONE IN 3 DAYS NONE SEEN AFTER AND REMAIN GONE SINCE … A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR Technician Dustin C. He is a super guy and have lots of respect for him.
I singed up a customer service contract with him and his company. They have great rates and most of all there service is the best! Don’t waste your time calling other companies that are going to just come out and spray and not find out the issues. Call the Hitmen and ask for Dustin if his available in your area.

I started with another company for a pest problem in our house that they were not able to solve. Hitman, on Todd Road, Santa Rosa, was the third company I worked with, and Brian was punctual, thorough and efficient in trying to figure out our problem. With their help, and expertise, we are on our way to finally eliminating our pest problem. I recommend them for any problems you might have.

These guys have always been responsive, efficient and taken care of business. The operators are friendly and the technicians have always been nice. It is never fun to have to call in pest control — at least these guys get it handled. I ask for Chris now as he is a nice guy who is easy to have poking around your home for pests.

Really wonderful inspection servicemen who do their best to find the cause of the problem and treat it. However the one star off is for the absolutely horrible communication I got just now from the woman who answered the phone at the main number. Would not answer a simple yes or no question. And then spoke to me like I was 10 years old and didn’t understand what she was trying to say — utterly ridiculous and I hope that management takes note of this review.

They were fine when it came to setting up traps and inspecting my pool shed. Part of the service they offered was to come out weekly to check the traps, which I thought would be OK, but after 3 visits we still didn’t catch the visitor and the cost of the visits started adding up. I decided to check the traps myself the next week and on one of my inspections I saw we had caught the visitor. Instead of calling The Hitmen I decided to deal with the visitor myself. When a woman representing The Hitmen called that week to schedule my inspection I explained that I took care of it, which really annoyed her. I was not happy with that attitude. I will not be using them again.

I can’t recommend this company. When they came out to give us a quote, I was impressed. The guy who came out seemed knowledgeable and likeable, and the quote sounded good, so I wanted to give them the business. It turns out it was a classic bait and switch tactic, as he only had me sign one of the two diagrams that I was supposed to sign. So, instead of $ 800, we were supposed to pay $ 1200. On top of that, I never saw him again, but had a DIFFERENT guy come to check the traps EVERY SINGLE TIME for about 5 – 6 times. They must have a huge problem with turnover. I had to explain what was going on every time. They also dragged out the «all clear» probably so they could keep charging us for «checking traps.» Save yourself the hassle and hire somebody else.

I’m puzzled by the less than stellar reviews for these guys. We’ve used them twice — for rats (yep, lots of them in Marin) and for a yellow jacket hive, and they were prompt, knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

I saw 2 other companies before using Hitmen Pest and they were a million times better. They were professional, knowledgable, and respectful. We had a rat problem and they checked the traps diligently until it was caught. They went the extra mile and I would recommend them to anyone.

They really deserve A BIG FAT ZERO!!! Do not be fooled! They are not professionals in my opinion and from my experience.
They fumigated our condo along with the entire complex. In fact they got a huge contract to fumigate all of the condominiums that are part of our association (8+ buildings)
We came to find dried dirt on my carpet. All my drawers left open. There was a ladder left in my closet. And the best part is that they didn’t even air out the condo after the fumigation! They didn’t even turn on a fan or open a window!!! As soon as I walked in my eyes started hurting immediately! My skin started getting irritated. And I thought that most professional companies vacuum up the bugs that died from the process?! Well, no! I walked into a home that had dead bugs on the floor, counter tops, and so on. I mean I know the contract was at least $ 2 million + at least freakin clean up after yourselves!
They were pretty good when I talked to them but all that went out the window after I walked into my home after the fumigation.

We caught a rat (ugh) and have interviewed four different companies. This company was the worst by far. The inspector came equipped with traps (we didn’t have a contract — it was just an inspection), so I had to explain that I was getting competitive bids (which I told the office several times when I scheduled and had to reschedule the inspection). He complained about the rain (uh do rats take off on rainy days), couldn’t care less about looking at where I had seen activity, tracked mud into the house, brought a dripping ladder into the house, had no plastic drop cloths, and tried to sell me a year contract.
He seemed to think that the rat poop in the basement was not a problem (!!!). They don’t do cleaning so I had the company they work with come out and take a look. That guy stopped short of telling me that I was going to get the bubonic plague. So the inspector and the subcontractor had very different opinions. NOT GOOD!
At the conclusion, he handed me a contract with a year agreement (told me not to worry about that — I crossed that out when I signed for the service) — and still tried to get me to have him set traps! I had to reiterate that I wasn’t prepared to contract with any company at this time.
I was told that I was getting the company’s top inspector. That’s all I needed to know. Don’t bother with these guys. My inspection was cursory (waste of money) from a very rude and messy inspector. Believe the one-​star reviews.

These guys are terrible! They use scary stories about spiders to try and get you to buy their services. I had them for spraying and rat control. Two of their guys told me spraying doesn’t do much and they don’t spray when it’s raining — so during the winter, there’s really no service.
Also, they call to tell you when they’re coming to check the rat traps, with 2 days notice. If the traps are in the basement and you have to let them in the house, you have to be there or you get charged. They refuse to set appts via email and expect you to be home when it’s convenient for them. I can’t drop everything at work and run home when they decide to show up. I talked to 3 different people about scheduling and they refuse to email or provide a schedule — but they’re very happy to send a bill.
