Shogun Fresh Japanese Cuisine

I ordered some noodles from this sh*t hole for the first and last time in my life. Bland and purely terrible. I immediately felt sick and couldn’t bare it as some point so I threw up. Do not eat here, please just don’t, trust me. Just don’t do it. I think the fact that I couldn’t find a phone number to call these guys on is a pretty bad sign.

Came here for some food at lunch today. Was so terrible and the person taking our order just rude. He seemed so angry when he didnt give me a fork or dressing. Definitely not coming here again unless management or employees change.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is awful. I could get better sushi at 7-​Eleven. Plus the cook making the sushi was so rude and made you feel like you were ruining his life by making him do his job. He wouldn’t even put a cover on my sushi, he just yelled at me and told me the sushi was done. Yikes. Poor service, and tasteless food.

well. its one of the most fake japanese shit ive ever had. so they have these tasteless boiled and cooked veg, soba, chicken, and shrimp and when u order it they jus mix it with some lame teriyaki sauce and thats it. no taste at all… i dont think their employees have ever tasted their own food. lol thank god, that siracha sauce helped me out to finish atleast half of it. :(

I sometimes come here for lunch from work. There are usually a fair number of people waiting in line for food. The service is prompt but a bit stiff (don’t expect much more from a mall food court). The portions as described in other reviews are quite large. I usually get the teriyaki chicken. The chicken is tender but can include some tough pieces sometimes (isn’t always consistent). The sauce is a good blend of sweet with salty. There usually have a good amount of cabbage and rice with it. It is average food but when I am looking to fill myself up, it does work.

Not worth the calories. Ordered the teriyaki beef and it had very little flavor. Large portions of rice included — very little vegetables and the meat was undercooked. I would not recommend this place. too bad — was hoping for a good go to place when I was craving some Japanese.

Not good. Yes portions are large– but what good is that if it’s bad. Ordered chicken teriyaki and the beef teriyaki. Both were$ 6.95 and undercooked. The white rice was good– which makes up for 70% of the meal. The two guys working the counter couldn’t have been any colder. All in all– not worth the calories or the stomach ache.

Huge portions and teriyaki is great with lots of veggies. Soba is a bit bland though. For the price you can’t complain!

I think I’ve eaten here at least once before and I was fine. I’ve pretty much avoided the mall kiosk food for almost a year excluding Subway.
This time I had stomach cramping and diarrhea 30 mins after eating here I had the chicken & beef teriyaki combo. I only ate ½ but it was All bad from there :(
Huge portions though. enough for 2
But he gave me 3x more rice than veggies.
Even though I love rice I would have preferred it the other way around
So I will probably go back to avoiding it.

I love their chicken Teriyaki!!! I ask for more veggies than rice and they always do a great job of accommodating me! :)

Love this place! The guys give very generous servings. The food is delicious! Love the chicken and beef combo. You’ll be stuffed when you’re finished. It’s rare when they have a girl server but the portions are noticeably smaller. The sushi is fantastic. Surprisingly good for mall food!

I had noodles with beef and veggies. Mushy vegetables, unrecognizable meat and way too much salt without any other flavor. Would be afraid to try the sushi.

I always get sushi and chicken teriyaki here and I love it !!!

Teriyaki made to order… prices are pretty reasonable for the amount of food they give you. All the workers wear white with a cute red apron and chef’s hat…
They also offer sushi rolls but I haven’t dared to try any of them yet… haha.
Northgate mall has a pretty good variety of food… but when I’m looking for something quick… this is normally my stop.
