Business Owner

I Believe Guitar lessons should be a fun activity for students of all ages and levels. I am an encouraging, energetic, and patient teacher. I teach 5 days a week at Roots Music School and The Magic Flute (both in San Rafael) with students ranging from 6 yrs old to 75 yrs old. Lessons are 45 minutes or one hour per week.

For beginners I focus is on strum patterns, rhythm, finger-​picking, easy songs, how to read guitar tabulature, and soloing (improvisation).

For the intermediate/​advanced level the focus is on the interest and goals of the student.

Education– I have a bachelors degree in music from San Francisco State University, A.A. degree from College of San Mateo as well as a degree from the Guitar Institute in Hollywood.

Performing — While not teaching I perform with my rock band at clubs from San Francisco to L.A. and San Diego as well as flamenco, acoustic and classical guitar at wineries, cafes, corporate events, private parties, and festivals. talk soon
