I called wednesday spoke to ronnie told him i have HORRIBLE credit but i want the mercedes on his lot as well as payments that i wanted to, thursday peter (finance) called me and said i got the car not only did he work his BUTT off to get me an EXCELLENT deal with a 5 year warranty and a very low interest rate, when other «reputable» dealers said it was not at all possible but they were so sweet so fast we love them n will be doing business with them again ! They are GREAT ! I recommend EVERYONE to do business with peter! He is an amazing business man !

I had a great experience purchasing an 2007 Acura TL Type-​S from Ronnie and Peter in early September of 2015. I had visited other dealerships to test drive the car (see other reviews), but all of the Type S’ elsewhere were way overpriced. Also, due to the rarity of the car other dealerships wanted me to buy way over the KBB, Edmunds, and TrueCar prices and buy it in as-​is condition with a bunch of things that needed to be fixed.
I initially didn’t want to go to Marin Auto since its about and hour and half away (with no traffic) from where I live. I called ahead and spoke with Ronnie and told him I was interested in the car but had seen certain issues with it in other models, most noticeably the front seat heaters. He said their mechanic looked it over and didn’t find anything major, but that he would check out the seat heater himself and let me know how it felt. He said he would call me back shortly. I wasn’t really expecting a call back, but sure enough Ronnie calls me within the hour and says: yes it’s not working we’ll have it fixed for you before you arrive.
I scheduled the test drive for the next day and met Ronnie and looked over the car. It was in fantastic shape versus some of the thrashed Type-​S’ I’ve seen. Most notably there were no tears in the interior leather (which I had asked about before driving up, but was worried they would try to be hidden).
Ronnie got the car ready and I told him how I would like to test drive the car and he directed me to the appropriate roads in and around Marin and let me have at it for as long as I needed. It took about 45 minutes. Car was solid so I went back to the dealership and met Peter to talk numbers. I had a number in mind based on research. I knew the car was rarer, but also that they had priced it pretty fairly. In end I paid more than my «ideal» number but less than my walk away price. No BS back and forth and the negotiating. I gave my number, Pete gave his and we agreed. Whole deal took less than 15 minutes.
There were some items I wanted addressed before I took delivery: having the headlights re-​polished because one side was cloudy vs the other and having the drivers side seat motor fixed because it was making a clicking sound when moving backwards. Pete gave me a due bill so that they would be sorted out when I picked the the car up a few days later. I forgot to include the missing DVD navigation disc on the due bill. Ronnie and Pete both gave me a verbal that they would find it and ship to me in a few days. Since it wasn’t on the due bill I was a bit worried that it would be conveniently forgotten. However, true to their word I got the disc shipped via UPS about a week later.
Because of the way this dealership looks (kind of like Bill Paxton’s car dealership in the movie True Lies) I thought I was going to have to be on guard and in for a fight to not get ripped off. The whole experience was the complete opposite of that. They were very nice, fair in their pricing, and absolutely true to their word.
The only knock I have is that they could have filled up the gas tank for me. It was nearly empty when I took possession. In retrospect I could have asked for this on the «due bill» but it would have been nice touch to finalize everything and send me on my way.

Awesome experience… who lets you test drive the same car twice for over 30 min each time??? Marin Auto Group. Peter’s hospitality is one of a kind. If I buy another car in the future I will defiantly do business here again!

Just purchased a car in pristine condition from Peter and Ronnie at Marin Auto Group. The car was listed at a good price, so no haggling was required. I found the car on AutoGuru, and Ronnie got back to me right away, letting me know there was a lot of interest in the vehicle.
After test driving the car and deciding to purchase it, it turned out that Peter was delayed in getting back to the dealership, so these guys bought me lunch!
While we were waiting for Peter, two calls came in from Las Vegas and Los Angeles asking if the car was still available, so it was clear that Ronnie’s warning was legitimate.
When Peter arrived, he worked us through the paperwork in about 15 minutes.
It is true that parking is a little tight in their small location, but there is very little overhead and that translates into decent prices.
If you’re looking for a car and it’s at their dealership, you can expect to be taken care of in a friendly and professional manner.

Read the previous reviews and its funny how one guy gave them one star and was complaining about parking issue and how a fed-​ex truck was blocking the drive way and another one had an issues with her car six months after the purchase but I do agree with the Unilocaler in regards to the parking situation its a little tricky, but i wasn’t too worry when I saw 2008 E350 from Marin Auto Group, dealt with Peter he was great. i found couple small issues with car and he made an adjustment on the price, I was happy, this car was already priced below everything else I’ve seen didn’t have to go back and forth, the whole process was easy !!! will go back for sure for the next one

I bought a 2008 Mercedes-​Benz there, it runs good, classy… they are great business man, i enjoyed every bit of their customer service especially From Nick, he got everything done quickly, made a good deal&after a short while i drove my car home. They are professional, sincere &have the best/​nice cars. I had the best experience with them, if you are looking for a good car&worth your money or more, check it out there&ask for Nick.

I was excited about a car they had for sale so I had called ahead and had cash in hand in case it worked out before heading over to see it. When I got there the car looked dirty and the only parking they had was the small pull in driveway which was blocked by a Fed-​X truck. So I had to keep driving around in bad traffic until he left as it was the only space one could pull into. Then the dealer comes over and asks me what I wanted, like I had no business being there. Gosh, sure glad I drove all the way over there. Then he tells me to pull out even more into traffic so he could move the car he was in. So I do that and then he for what ever reason just steps out of the car, which was blocking my way and then he gets out and he just walks into the office. Leaving me in my car with no place to park while sticking out even more into the busy street. What the hell? Then the salesman that I had talked to about coming out walks out and just stands there and says nothing? I’ve never experienced a place quite like this, I couldn’t of had a worse feeling about this place or the guys running it. It’s hard to believe anyone could of had a positive experience here. For me it was a disappointing waste of time.

If you are looking for an honest car guy. Pete is that guy. I’ve worked with him off and on now for about 10 years and he’s always told me like it is. If you’re looking for a car, Pete will stand behind everything he sells.

I totally love Marin Auto Group and Peter is great ! I’ve been searching for a car that would fit my needs and budget. I narrowed it down to Marin auto group. So I went down for a test drive and not only fell in love with my BMW, but the price was the lowest in the bay area! Believe me; I’ve been shopping around for months. In the end-​I left with a white BMW X-​5 =)) Perfecto for me !! Woop whoop, signing off… one happy driver
