DONOTMOVEHERE!!! I wish I could give this complex a zero-star rating, because they are THAT terrible. I could not agree more with the posts before me. This is a father-daughter managed complex and they are out to steal money in ANY way possible. Here are just a FEW of the many downfalls to living in this hell hole: 1. There is an «onsite manager» who is supposed to be available after hours, but he never responds to requests! Even if he did, he has no keys to help. 2. They are supposed to have the office staffed from 9 – 5, but I have NEVER seen either of them there during the day. Especially the daughter, Brianna. She is collecting checks and literally never shows up unless she’s there to pick a fight with tenants. She’s more concerned with drinking. 3. The appliances are old as dirt, and YOU will be charged for how terrible they are when you leave, even though that’s how they were given to you. 4. Tommy will try and fix EVERY little thing himself because heaven forbid he call a maintenance tech or handyman and had to PAY for something! Brianna literally put a metal slate under my kitchen sink the day she was giving me the keys to protect the fake wood from the leak! We couldn’t just fix the leak??? 5. The linoleum is YEARS old. Your kitchen floor will look like it has pee stains all over it from all the old stains. I asked for it to be replaced SEVERAL times. Per Brianna, «I will check with the management.» You mean you’ll check with yourself? 6. They will enter your apartment whenever they please even though they are required to give you a 24hr notice. Don’t be surprised when you get a complaint letter for something in your apartment when you had no idea they were even going in. 7. The location is great, but it is very noisy! The windows are terrible and the screens are ripped, so you’ll always be hearing loud city noises. 8. Mail is left in the front entryway, so don’t have your packages delivered here. They will be stolen right out of the lobby. 9. The elevator hasn’t been serviced in years — pretty sure the inspection paper has a date from 2013. 10. Yes, there is a parking garage, but you will get complaints regularly about how you are parked, how you drive, that your car left marks, etc. Again, another scheme to try and get money out of you. 11. Rather than fixing the apartment up for new tenants, they cover things up. There were nails all over my living room that were hammered all the way in and painted white. You will see little paint spots all over because they patch small areas and don’t paint the wall after. The carpet has tears and stain marks all over. They tell you that you won’t be charged for normal wear and tear when you leave — LIE. Even if you tried to fix everything they left, they would still charge you. Your security deposit will be more than one-month’s rent — and they will take ALL of it. As the review says below, they are going to take ALL of your money. I had a SPOTLESS apartment when I left, and I was charged $ 500 to have the apartment«cleaned». And that isn’t even all the charges! They are thieves. I hope someone shuts them down immediately. If anyone plans to take action, please reach out to me so I can join. I am already in contact with a lawyer because these people are criminals.

Illegally withheld the damage deposit, with additional inflated, unrepresented charges. He uses intimidation to harass and bully tenants. On several instances Tommy Kennedy entered the unit, took pictures, and demanded furniture be rearranged. Why? Who knows. PLEASE take legal action if you are experiencing the same AND file with Better Business Bureau. I am, and if tenants work together we can stop this unfair and potentially discriminatory landlord from continuing his illegal operations in the future. Know your rights.

As with anything I’ve written on Unilocal the below should only be considered the opinion of one person based on that person’s experience, views, etc. Also the tense might change throughout, not paying too much attention in that way. TL;DR version: terrible, horrible, awful, miserable place to live. DONOTLIVEHERE as long as Tommy Kennedy or his daughter, Breanna Kennedy(although, in fairness, she’s not nearly as difficult to deal with as he is), are the managers. Bar none the worst apartment and apartment building I’ve ever lived in. I am, quite literally, adding this«business”/slum to Unilocal because of just how awful it is. If this review keeps even one poor soul from moving in here and having to live in the building of the tyrannical owner/manager than my job will have been well done. The building is not safe. The fire alarm goes off fairly regularly, one of the other tenant’s has had their apartment broken into(or so they told me), etc. and I didn’t even live there for a year. The building itself is not the problem here. The location is not the problem. The problem is Tommy, the building’s manager(possibly the owner too, he won’t make that clear). Tommy is extremely difficult to work with. He insists on doing repairs himself(I suspect because he doesn’t want to pay to have an actual professional do them), which would be fine, expect that he is drastically unqualified so, even though he insists on doing the repairs, nothing will ever actually get fixed properly. All of this would be fine(or at least ignore-able) if it weren’t for the fact that Tommy INSISTS on inserting himself in situations where he is not needed. Even if you try to avoid him, he’ll post notices on your door declaring(not asking, declaring) that he will enter your apartment, whether you want him to or not. I don’t mean to suggest that this is beyond his rights as the landlord — sure, he can hide behind the lease — I’m just suggesting that it is not the right way to treat people. That’s essentially what I’m trying to say here — the man is a bully, and on a power trip. He isn’t interested in leaving well enough alone, he’s only interested in treating this building like his own little sandbox and trying to run the people that live here as though they’re his personal play things. He doesn’t return phone calls. He’s even gone so far as to hang up on a phone call with me. Again, like I said, I guess there isn’t a law, or a regulation, that he be a halfway decent person… but that’s not what this is about, right? And wouldn’t it actually be good for him and his business to make his tenant’s want to live there as long as he can? The turnover rate on these apartments is through the roof(there are a handful of longtime tenants, but I’ve spoken with them and most of them have expressed a similar opinion to mine), every neighbor of mine that I’ve talked to has mentioned having a difficult time with Tommy in one way or another. Also, let it be known, that I actually think these supposed managers are fully aware of what a horrible impression Tommy makes: I found the apartment in the first place through a Real Estate Agent, and then dealt with Breanna but not Tommy. It wasn’t until after I had moved in that they sprung Tommy on me. It’s actually a pretty smart business tactic, because had I dealt with Tommy earlier on in the process I never would’ve moved in. I will do my best to add some pictures that demonstrate Tommy’s incompetence as a handyman.
