We decided to book this hotel for our wedding preparations and mini-​honeymoon. Aside from the cookies, my room was upgraded for free when they found out I was getting married. Our relatives also booked multiple rooms the night before the wedding. None of us have any complaints with their services.

I could why it got 3 stars. If you are looking for a nice place to stay 1 night, without being bothered then, welcome. But the fact that it is very quite and nothing to do around the area, is a pro and con. Now I didn’t see any trash from a remodel but the hotel is nice and clean. The bartender is closes right at 11pm, so at 11:01pm you are screwed. She could’ve been friendlier. I had a work meeting at the conference room the next day, it was nice. The food was good actually. I wouldn’t stay here unless I had a work meeting again.

We have a boat across the way and have always wanted to have dinner at the hotel. Unfortunately we did. Went in at 7pm. There were people at one other table and a few people at the bar. The food was some of the worst we have ever had. I don’t know if the kitchen is on the other side of the hotel or the the waiter just let the food sit, everything was cold. It all seemed put on a plate and microwaved. I asked how the fish and chips were and was told they were fresh. They were greasy and the only thing hot so I knew they came right out the freezer and into the microwave.
If you stay there go else where to eat. San Pedro has some great places to eat.

Stayed here one night, and I wish it had been longer. While they were under construction for renovation, they made up for the inconvenience with their wonderful, friendly service.
The rooms are clean and a good size. I had a room with a balcony in the marina, and it was gorgeous. Ate dinner and breakfast here, and both were fantastic. My dinner server (can’t remember his name) was an older Italian man and cute as a button!

Technically, this is not a 5 star hotel, but every single staff member I encountered acted like it was. The check in staff went above and beyond to make sure my family’s needs were met. The restaurant, bar staff, and maid staff worked exceptionally hard and the food quality and cleanliness of the hotel showed this.
The remodeled rooms are beautiful and include a good sized mini fridge, microwave, and small coffee machine with Coffee bean and tea leaf coffee. There is free wifi and free parking! As of early September they have finished remodeling 90 percent of the rooms. I definitely would stay here again.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years, and the last few times have been lees than adequate.
For the price, I would say it is extremely overpriced. We got two rooms, and at least one of them doesn’t have air conditioning.
This stay, for two days one of the rooms didn’t have AC for two days and they told us to move the room as they were renovating it.
Then the other room didn’t have enough pressure or hot water to take a shower, so I had to go elsewhere to take a shower.
They did say they were sorry!
The employees we encountered were very nice, but didn’t have much good to say about there new manager.

Hotel is under some major remodel. Enter ace is poor, everything is discombobulated!
Room I got doesn’t have any mirror in the bathroom. I found bugs in my room. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. $ 160 per night but facility is less than a small motels. One elevator serves the entire hotel. If you would see their kitchen who probably don’t want to eat here. Everything stinks in the hotel. Sorry!

After viewing pervious reviews to this hotel, I guess I was lucky to have such an enjoyable stay!
My fiancé and I were in San Pedro to attend a few Navy Days LA events in the area. With his ship being just around the corner, there were several events in the area that were walkable or even a short drive away, therefore this hotel was very convenient for our stay in San pedro.
I checked in an hour before check in time and they had an available room. Upon walking into the room, I was amazed with the great view. The room itself seemed pretty clean and updated. Our king size bed was very comfortable and equipped with several pillows. The bathroom was updated and very clean.
In addition to our stay, we were offered a complimentary breakfast buffet during our entire stay. Although it wasn’t anything too fancy (eggs, sausage/​bacon, potatoes, waffles/​french toast, toasts, pastries, bagels, cereal, juices ect) it wasn’t bad at all. However, my only concern was the fruit flies getting into the fresh fruit. It was pretty gross, but I guess that’s what happens when you leave the patio doors wide open.
Although there is construction going on in the hotel, I was definitely understanding to the noise and work areas throughout the area. I don’t have any complaints and I can see myself staying here again if we’re ever back for another Navy Days event.
Btw — the offer complimentary cookies & fruit infused water in the lobby area.

We were so disappointed the only good thing was the view and the shuttle bus with a very nice driver. We paid for a upgraded room but our bed was so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep all night. Our restroom only had a makeup mirror attached to the wall. The closet only had a low wall with a curtain rod. I could not hang a short dress I needed for a event. The pool had exposed wires where kids were playing The resturant was under construction which we understand but don’t charge full price. We chose to stay there because we trust the Hilton name for a little more luxury. We could have stayed at the Best Western across the street from Huntington Beach for the price we payed for this. They should not charge fir all the aminites they advertise and do not offer

My fiancée (now wife) and I booked a block of rooms here for our wedding and I can confidently say that NOTHING went right.
We booked the room block through their reservation desk (call center) with the instructions that our guests would book their individual rooms with their own forms of payment. Once our guests started booking, we were notified that all of the reservations were going to be charged to our card!
We called to rectify the issue and were told that our guests would all have to re-​book their rooms under this newly-​correct arrangement. What a hassle for our parents and grandparents.
One of the arrangements we had hoped to make was the inclusion of snacks and a nacho bar in the downstairs lobby bar for our guests after our reception. My wife and I each made several attempts to obtain a catering quote for this through their catering manager Erica Thorne, only to be ignored and brushed aside every single time. We had to involve their corporate office just to get a reply – and I still never received a quote! Seriously, how hard is it to TAKE MY MONEY?
Speaking of the lobby bar, we had made arrangements upon booking for them to stay open a bit later for our paying guests. I also verified this upon check in the afternoon with the employee at the desk. Do you think they stayed open for us? You see where this is going…
The manager on duty laughed at my mother in law for having the sheer notion that somebody at doubletree agreed to stay open for us. After a fair amount of complaining by my friends and family, they finally agreed to stay open an extra hour for us. Absolutely absurd.
Earlier that day, I had called for housekeeping to tidy up my suite for my wedding night. My groomsman and I had all gotten ready and had taken pictures in the room early in the afternoon. Housekeeping arrived a bit early and I asked them to come back in five minutes. They responded positively and that was the last I saw of them. I came back later that night with my new wife to find that housekeeping never returned and NEVER cleaned our room! Completely infuriating!
Steer clear of the Doubletree San Pedro when looking to book a block for your wedding, unless you’re hoping for even more stress on your big day. If you love to be ignored and treated rudely by a staff that would rather not call or email you back, this is the place for you. If you’re lucky you might get to come back to a filthy room after they mock your mother in law on your big night!
If I could give zero stars I would.

Otherwise a pleasant entity, whoever is managing the construction at this hotel is doing a horrible job letting the guests know that this hotel is under MASSIVE construction. Waking up to extremely loud drilling noises at 9 am on a long weekend is not ideal. I found it so rude that the entire third floor had drillers there putting in new carpets — what if my family and I wanted to sleep in?
Save your money and stay at another hotel at all costs.

We got here yesterday and so far, so good. The front desk, wait staff and housekeeping have all been very friendly and professional. Arturo on the restaurant has been great.
We got in early from our flight and asked for early check in. They were completely booked the night before so they said it wasn’t possible but they would try their best to get us in to at least one room ASAP. Official check-​in isn’t until 3 PM so that was appreciated.
By 12:15pm they had found us one room that was clean so we all got to go up there and relax a little bit, rest and freshen up.
We went out for the day to do some sightseeing with her friend and when we came back in the evening of course our room was ready. I had read previous Unilocal reviews so I was a little apprehensive as to what our room would look like but it was totally fine. In fact, better than expected.
The beds were made perfectly the sheets were clean the pillows were nice and firm and I had one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a awhile. The bathrooms been recently updated the air conditioner looks new and totally rocks our view faces the marina and I honestly don’t have anything to complain about.
People have been posting photos of stained lampshades so I gave ours a close inspection. It’s not stained at all but the trim on the bottom looks like it had peeled off and so the adhesive part is left. That is so nitpicky that if I hadn’t read previous Unilocal reviews I probably wouldn’t even have noticed! All in all this place is great especially for the price you pay and I would definitely come back again to stay and recommend to friends and family.
I’ve also had breakfast twice downstairs yesterday I share the expend addict with my mom it was good the egg was a little overlooked. No big deal. The breakfast buffet was fair it was all basic continental breakfast with eggs French toast sausage is the fresh fruit was excellent particularly the pineapple blueberries and BlackBerries and the coffee was strong and good.

After driving for 30 hours we show up to find our check in time was 3pm… Gave them our number to call if it was going to be ready early and slept in the parking lot, went in again at 2 and they said it’s been ready… Why didn’t they call us?
After getting in we found you cannot get food or drinks until certain times. We were exhausted and told us we can drive somewhere for food or drinks. Or wait until 6. Wow.
Nothing complimentary. Breakfast buffet is way over priced. Bring your own food if you are staying here
Was excited to see they had a Starbucks stand at least! Oh wait. They only sell small medium and large coffees… What’s the point!!! It took the guy 15 minutes to count back my $ 12 change! And rude service!

Pros: amazing location, on the water with a walking path along the marina. Large hotel with huge lobby with plenty of comfortable seating. Lobby bar, not nice but serves a full bar selection. Outdoor patio off of lobby that overlooks water and marina.
Cons: older hotel, needs updating, rooms had a funky smell, rooms were outdated and in need of repairs. Shower head was half broken. Just NOT what I expect from the Hilton family of hotels.
Overall I would probably stay again and hang in the lobby or patio just so I didn’t have to be in my room.

Only spent 1 night here and it was one of the worst I have spent at a hotel. I’ve had better experiences at motels! Room was fairly clean but the carpet smelled. Housekeeping comes way too early and to top it off breakfast isn’t complimentary. $ 17 for a plate of food is ridiculous.
Only good thing here was the pool but I would never stay here again for the price.

I stayed in this hotel awhile back and it was the pits. Stained furniture, smell of disinfectant, stained carpet, bad service.
Came back with family on July 4th just to sit on the patio for lunch, thinking maybe the restaurant wasn’t as bad as the hotel. NOT! I mean, yes, it’s as bad as the hotel.
Because it was a holiday, there was a $ 50 minimum charge to sit on the patio. Because we had the dog, couldn’t go inside. Wouldn’t have mattered. The food was ABOMINABLE!!! Found out later that apparently they don’t have a real restaurant; they get food catered in. The burger looked like it! Dry tasteless meat, with a dry bun with nothing on it!!! We ordered a steak too (to meet the $ 50 minimum) and it was WRETCHED. Overcooked, with some kind of creepy fake creamy sauce on it, the veggies tasted like they were warmed over. The salad was a joke. It was barely cool, not cold, with greasy dressing. The entire experience seemed as though they don’t really realize they’re a restaurant. Well, they’re really not.
This place doesn’t deserve even to have people walk through, but walking through it is about the only thing you should do. Ports of call is down the way and there’s the 22nd street landing. Go there instead. Really a pity because it would be nice to sit on the Doubletree Patio overlooking the boats and harbor. But not gonna. Yuck and ick.
