Burrito Factory

Burrito factory has the best salsa around! Every time I eat here, I have to order a quart of salsa to go! Yes, it’s that good. The factory special burrito, and Pedro special burrito are my favorites. They have a fast delivery, and quick service when you dine-​in. The servers are always friendly!

Two feels kind of generous. I wanted prontos potato tacos (wow some things don’t change), but settled for bf because prontos was closed. Their salsa seems to be some kind of tomato purée with a hint of spice, the potatoes were bland, and it cost $ 31 for two potato taco dinners with 2 more tacos a la carte. Definitely not coming back.

We ordered delivery and it was fast. Chile relleno burrito was not that great. Everything else isn’t bad. I like their beans. The Burrito factory appetizer sounded better than what we got. the chips got soggy by the time we got them. Their salsa is odd. It isn’t bad, but no veggies– it is literally just a red sauce. I liked their horchata as well. I used to go often in high school. I wouldn’t necessarily crave Burrito Factory, but I am sure I will eat it again in the future at some point.

This food here make me think of high school cafeteria food.
I ordered the special with a chile relleno, enchilada and taco dorado, EVERYTHING was drowned in a red sauce that tasted just if tomato. Literally like they opened canned tomato sauce and poured it over everything. It was barely edible. The side salad was just iceberg lettuce wit a tiny piece of tomato and drowned in ranch.
Don’t really think ill ever step foot in this place again.

Super salty and a migraine maker. Huge portions but not worth the feeling like poo after feeling. Great for drunks or people that want to be diabetic

The burrito factory has been around a long time great food I’m born and raised in San Pedro your food and service has always been awesome keep up the great work!!!

Ok so let me start of by saying I should’ve walked out as soon as I waked in. For starters this place has a funky smell not to mention the old fashion décor. The waitress greeted up and continued to separate fork and made us wait. So we ordered our food and our dish came with salads; at a Mexican restaurant? Ok I’ll take it. The salad was brown lettuce with pieces of tomato and a blob of ranch. I ordered one of the «popular» burritos and my son ordered the cheese enchiladas. This is not Mexican food! Who ever called this authentic Mexican food clearly is delusional. My burrito was cold and just not tasty. The enchiladas looked and tasted awful. I will say the beans were good but I think they were canned. The salsa was blah nothing fancy or great. I live right next to this place and I definitely will not be back. The hours say it’s from 9 — 9 everyday and the waitress locked the door at 8:30 because apparently only the take out side stays open till 9.

Came here on a recommendation and thought I give it a try since I was in the area. I got the carne Asada burrito. The meat was seasoned good and had an okay amount; a little too much beans but overall it was an okay burrito; nothing special here.

Maybe it’s because I ordered a tostada in a place called the burrito factory, but it was not good. Big sloppy wet chunks of iceberg lettuce made the whole thing a wet soggy mess, and the steak had a cafeteria-​kitchen kind of taco seasoning flavor to it… I might as well have cooked it myself.
Can’t recommend it or anticipate bothering to go back.

Not understanding the reviews. Food has always been bomb, always takeout. Food is extremely large portioned for the price. Phone is answered intently. My order has always been right. Ingredients seem fresh. Like I said, great bang for the buck. Ya, it’s not the best Mexican food I’ve had but this is for sure a regular spot for me. And the place has always looked clean to me. Never been super intent on checking it out but nothing popped out at me which is a good sign
They are getting 5 stars for the bang for ur buck and good quality food. I’m not finding any decent deals in San Pedro except for this place…

I stopped in for an early dinner and was a little nervous because nobody was in the restaurant. I had the burrito bowl which was decent. The staff was attentive and the salsa was excellent. I will would put this in the «if you are close and hungry» category.

The food was just awful. The side salad was lettuce and a glop of ranch with a quarter sliced tomato. The beef tamale was a sad excuse for food. It had a salty meat gravy over it which made it even more nauseating. The potato taco was decent. But, the two taquitos were over fried and the meat was basically black. And you can judge a restaurant by its guacamole. It’s near impossible to not make it right. Well, it was bland and had none of the essentials like tomato, onion, cilantro, lemon, or salt.
In short, save your money and eat at at jack in the box. Both garbage.

The food was pretty good. The only problem we had was that they are understaffed and the waitress forgot things we asked for and was a little slow.

Not quite sure why this place only has 2 and a half stars! I have not eaten inside yet, but I have ordered to-​go from here twice, and both times the food was very good. The price is great too. Between my wife, and my kids and I we have tried several things on the menu and the only thing that was bad was the chicken taco. It was bad the first time but I was hoping it was a fluke so I tried it again. The chicken was dry both times and the shell had a burnt taste both times as well. I will definitely be back here, but I definitely will not order the chicken taco again.

I’m usually a fan of the Burrito Factory but today was a bit disappointing. First our delivery order took over an hour to arrive despite being given a 30 – 45 min time frame. I had to call the restaurant to find out what had happened. I was told the driver had just left. When she arrived (very polite and apologetic) she told me a large order from the fire department came in and things got «crazy.» She said it wouldn’t not happen next time.
Also, one co-​worker ordered a chicken burrito but you could almost count the few pieces of very dry chicken. My other co-​worker bit into her tacquito and found a toothpick. We think it had been used to hold the tortilla together and it wound up being deep fried along with the burrito. Last but not least, when I opened the bags to distribute the food, the bag with the very watery & tasteless salsa tore/​opened and spilled all over my desk. It had leaked into the paper bag making it very soggy and it just tore open. Unfortunately we probably won’t be eating here again any time soon.

We recently moved into the neighborhood surrounding the Burrito Factory. We had ordered from here once before and were very pleased with the quick delivery, delicious food and cheap options. Now that we live within walking distance we have been at least 4 times in the last few weeks. Their staff is always so pleasant and the food is consistently authentic and delicious, as far as I am concerned this is a hidden gem!!!

I uses to come here ALOT back in the 80’s. But when they moved across the street the place JUST not that good as it used to be. Maybe becauce of different ownership or I grew tried of their food.

Walked in waited 10 minutes and then the waiter says WHAT DO YOU WANT! THIS PLACE SUCKES!!! We walked out!!! Don’t go there!!!

This place has been around for years. Has changed ownership some years ago. They in house salsa is one of the best but they don’t give it to you on to go orders. They give you basic weak taco sauce.
The staff are all nice never had any complaints about anyone. I prefer the #46 chicken burrito with sour cream and guacamole on the side.

I think people underestimate Burrito Factory.
Burrito Factory is located in San Pedro, in the corner of Pacific and 19^th street.
When my friends and I came in we were greeted nicely. We sat at a table and I noticed the different kinds of electronic games they have in one corner. The games where you put a quarter and it tells you your fortune?
Anyway, I felt pretty home-​y. It was probably because they had a large screen tv showing the People’s court. The other customers seem to have a good relationship with the people in the restaurant. Some of them have been coming for years.
I browsed through the menu and I noticed the prices are not bad at all. The burritos were roughly around $ 7.00. However, I decided to get a Chicken Torta. My friends got a Carne Asada Burrito and Beef Tacos.
The taste was a little above average. It is definitely better than other restaurants though.
The service was pretty good despite the fact that there was only one server. She handled multiple clients at once.
I don’t mind coming back. If you come here, you should definitely try the burrito though. It’s bomb.
