Stopped in here looking for Beerlao, which is offered in both kinds at the adjoining restaurant, but not at the market.(And you can’t buy it at the restaurant to take it away, either.) I was also looking for the curry powder used in Northern laab, which they offer in their own«house blend» in plastic containers as well as a couple of prepackaged jars from Thailand. I bought all three and will try them out. Extra star for being a Lao market, though I can’t give 5 stars without Beerlao. If their house blend laab powder is any good, that will be enough to bump to 5*. The restaurant offers laab. Menu at Parking sucks, though there’s a small lot in back. Little bit of a language issue, but not a real problem. Area could be called sketchy, if you care.
Rworange X.

The nicest of the small Thai markets in San Pablo. The freezer case is well-stocked with a large selection of fish. The small veggie counter is the freshest selection of the Thai markets. Herbs are kept in water and not wilted. There are a few packaged lunch items near the register and they make a number of pickles and seasonings. It is also very neat and clean. The owners are very friendly and nice.
