History

Established in 2011.

This business was recently known as Wrights Alignment & Brake, and also as Freemans Towing. Wrights Alignment had been at this location for 50+ years, until February 2011. Wrights Alignment had closed down after giving 50+ year of great service to its customers and the community. In February of 2011 the business was sold to new owners. The new owners have great experience in this field so they were ready to provide the best service. Now known as San Pablo Tire & Wheel AUTO CENTER. San Pablo Tire & Wheels also provides tire service, as well as brakes, shocks & struts, tune-​ups, alignment and custom wheels.

brought my truck because the wires in my front right tire was sticking out. I really couldnt leave without getting atleast a used tire because i was afraid the tire would pop while my kids were riding with me. they charged me $ 70 for a shitty ass tire that had very very little tread left. Was disappointed they charged me that much for a tire that will probably last another week:(but it was one of the two tires they had in my tire size. and the other was super bald. I thought to myself– «you gotta be kidding me». but for safety reasons and limitations with money– i had to get a used tire asap.

F**k this place. I just came in for a simple front wheel alignment, because my alignment’s so bad my front tires keep wearing down and popping. Short Mexican looking dude tells me he can’t do a front wheel alignment because I need new tires. Wtf? Basically trying to get me to buy 4 new tires and a wheel alignment.
You see, I was in a tight spot, trying to make it until payday and I didn’t have a lot of money until then. I explained to him I came in to get my front wheel alignment done so my bald tire can wear evenly and I can make it until payday, ’cause I can’t afford to have another tire blow right now. Dude didn’t care.
I asked if he could at least change out my front tire that was bald, so I could make it until Friday without having to worry about it blowing out on the way to work or something. He said they didn’t have my tire size, which I don’t believe since he was just trying to get me to spend money. So I tell him to take my car down and he tells me they will be charging a $ 30 inspection fee which they never told me before. Wtf?
So, they can’t do anything to help me and I’m still leaving $ 30 poorer, when I was just trying to make it until payday which will be harder now. Yea, they screwed me.
The technician assured me I could use that $ 30 towards my alignment when I come back. Haha. You think I’m coming back? Trust me, you don’t want me to come back. I live right around the block I would’ve been a customer for life but… f**k this place.
Note: there was one tech, taller dude with a beard that was trying to help by at least evening out that tire so it would wear evenly, but the dude I was taking to, f**k that dude.

My girlfriend and I when there today to have brakes fixed on her van
after doing an inspection they found mulitiple other problem and let us know before hand
instead of just fixing what we went in there for and send us on our way
Im glad they were honest about that instead of putting a bunch of money into fixing the vehicle

It’s the best thing when you find service providers you can trust. I brought my car in thinking the brake pads need to be replaced. After they checked, they told me I only needed to bleed the brake system; my pads still have a lot to go on them. So that saved me money! I also did tire rebalancing and a check on a couple of other things, and the prices were all very reasonably. These guys know how to do business.

I only give one star bc it won’t let me leave 0 I took my explorer there for a used tire not only did they sell me a bald tire the tech also jacked my truck up on the rocker panel and bent my l/​f fender when I spoke to the boss about it he flipped it on me saying my truck was hit there and his people are professionals etc. Complete bs, I wasn’t expecting money I just wanted them to fix my truck… I hate people who can’t own up to a mistake and make it right I’m never going back there!

Hate that I have to do this, but I just want to warn people probably should not take their newer cars here. I came in to get my tire replaced and the person who did it broke the sensor so now the light that pops up telling me my car tires aren’t balanced wont turn off. I brought it in asking them why and to fix it and they said it wasn’t them and to go to the dealership. That light wasn’t on prior to my service with them. Also the dealership told me it was broken and it would cost me $ 200+ to repair. Came back here and they wouldn’t do anything for me.
I’ve taken my other older cars here for break service, alignment and tires and the guys are nice and they do a pretty decent job so I’m giving them 3 stars

Today I came to this place one more time to buy a new tire for my car and truth the seller was very friendly and did everything that my car was ready as soon posble since I had to go to work, really recommend this place if you really want quality and a good attention and value.

4 out of 5 why? They didn’t greet me right away. To me that was a good enough reason. For that star reduction.
Besides that the mechanic got straight to it. I told him I had a possible nail in my tire because I kept getting a flat. He looked at it first without removing the tire he saw nothing. Then he asked if I wanted him to remove the tire to take a closer look I said yes and he proceed to look. He found the culprit and he removed it. Puts a patch and puts my tire back on. Paid $ 10 and I was on my way. I say the mechanic did a GOOD job. I was happy and that was it.

San Pablo Tires and Wheel doesn’t flaunt a 27 point inspection with every service. They don’t wash your car, or kiss your ass, and they don’t have a waiting room with comfy couch, free coffee, free snacks, and a big screen TV… What they do have is great prices and quick service!
I used to live out this way, which is the only reason I knew they existed. Over the years, and I’ve had them do a few (ok several) flat repairs, replace a couple tires, and most recently I had them mount and balance a new set of tires I bought online.
I pulled in with the tires in the back of the Jeep, guy walks out to the front as I’m getting out of the Jeep, asks what he can help me with. I say I got new tires in the back, need the old ones off, new ones on. He says «just a minute, let me make sure one of the stalls is clear», Comes back out, tells me to pull around back, and they had my Jeep off the ground almost before my feet hit the ground!
The first two guys had the Jeep up, and were doing the dismount, then all of a sudden a third comes out and starts mounting the new tires to the rims. They had the new tires put on, and me back in my Jeep in about 20 minutes, and for about half the cost of anyone else I called.
Seriously… For anything quicker, I think I would have had to have been out on Infineon Raceway with my own pit crew.

I was extremely fond of this place before, I went in to get all my work done, brakes, alignment, etc. so I thought why not get my
Tires done here too? BIG MISTAKE. When getting my old tires removed one of the workers broke my sensor! The owner said he would give me a new one and to not worry about it because my tire pressure light wasn’t on before coming in.
After my new tires are put on, the TPSM light goes on. The owner tells me to not worry because it’ll come off in a few miles but if it continued to be on to come by. Once I start driving on the bridge I notice that there is a gravitational pull on my car, they hadn’t test drive my car before giving it to me! They had over pressured the right side causing the pull. I went back to explain and one of the workers made it seem like I was some dumb girl who doesn’t know anything. That’s horrible! If a customer doesn’t feel comfortable driving her car, then something is wrong!
Then they completely ignored the fact about the over pressure, so I continued about the TPSM light. Once again they claimed to «give me a new one and to

To order a new sensor with Honda. Did they not do that before?! What sensor were you putting my car before?!
Took them two weeks to let me know that the sensor was in. After I called them numerous of times and kept giving me a different day. After coming for a whole week straight about the pull, they wanted to claim I needed a wheel alignment! Why don’t you admit to your mistakes and correct them?!
I had to take my car to another place to fix their mistakes. Not okay. I lost more money than probably doing it at a dealership.

Called and was told to come within the next 30 minutes and I wouldn’t have to wait. I show up within 10 and park behind the entrance to the alignment machine.
Employee comes out and tells me to get out of the way… He pulls in another car.
???
I told him I was told to come in… He tells me to wait 45 minutes. ??? No apology for wasting my time on the drive there.
If he would of apologized I would of been happy to wait.

Honestly, I liked coming here before last week cause I thought service was good, after buying a couple sets of new tires. But…
After they found out that I had 2 damaged studs (one broken and one stripped) on one of my wheels, I decided to go ahead and get it fixed with them. BIG MISTAKE. Q (owner/​manager) insisted with his guys they can replace it, even after them telling him numerous times they has to compress it. After disassembling my wheel, and confirming they had to compress the studs into the wheel, he quoted me 45, but I haggled him down to 40. Because it would take 2 – 3 hours and I had no time to wait for them to bring the wheel to a machine that could do it, cause they didn’t have it in house I decided to come back. On top of that is workers put all my wheel on backwards, so when driving off all you can hear and feel is the rub on my wheels.
Coming back, I dropped off my car during my lunch hour (12PM), planning to pick up at 4. But when I pulled up to the spot my car hadn’t moved. Dude said he forgot. Wow seriously? So he promised free next time, and kept insisting he’ll take care of it as it was his mistake.
So I come in again, same time as last. Come back & dude says its now $ 100 for everything. He kept saying they just figured out they had to compress it? I’m fucking baffled at this point, cause why wold I leave the car for a few hours in the first place. After discussing the matter, I realize they had already gotten it done and expected me to pay. I was a bit confused based on my previous visit promises. The free service was shot & they continued the job before even confirming costs with me. When picking up my car he insisted that any other place would charge me more. Shit, yeah right. I already got quotes with other places who gave me a price of 60. So to make things short I asked Q to cut off the studs they insisted on fixing and i’m on my way to wheel works for the set quote.
Better my money go to a professional service, then given to a company who hassled me for weeks.
