I had the pleasure of returning to Jovance after being gone for a while. Every year during this time I always get my hair cut. India have always done my hair but this time around they had a new stylist by the name of Argentine do my cuts and colors. I must admit I was a little nervous about the switch but Jovance have some of the most amazing, talented and professional stylist working there, so I knew I was in good hands. Argentine was amazing, she was able to turn an unfortunate situation into something of a miracle. She defiantly have acquire a new client for life. Thanks Jovance, I’ve been getting nothing but complements. P. S. I have defiantly been telling people where I got my hair cut at.

Great people. Very comfortable environment. Very fast and barely any wait time. Flat iron job is perfect for my graduation this weekend.

I so love Molly! Great spirit and that girl can press some hair. Always a great vibe when there. Althea did my daughters hair and she was excellent as well. Both ladies know how to give a great trim. Very pleased!

Went in for loc maintenance, Tracy is the best I have ever been to. She is so fast it’s unbelievable, this was my first time going to Jovance after being referred by my sister. Great stylist!

Was lucky enough to get a same day appointment for a blow out/​thermal styling with Molly.
I am blown away! First, their customer service is phenomenal. When I called in to make the appointment I was explaining that I was in need of a blow out to try to salvage my cut, that was done way too short. I was immediately offered an apology and a discount because they thought that my unhappiness was with them. I reiterated that the cut was done by another salon, so there was no need for the apology or discount.
I have gotten several blow outs/​thermal styling with others before, but Molly was not only able to blow out my hair beautifully, but she styled it in a way that I am no longer hating the cut. Molly is awesome and I am ecstatic to be her client.

I had one of the best barber experiences I’ve ever had with Brad at Jovance. Brad went out of his way to make sure I was introduced to every person in the room. The culture of the place is so chill, respectful, personal and inviting. Having been to some really unprofessional barbershops with ridiculous wait times, that are dirty, and just ghetto… this place is an oasis for Bay Area folk that just want to engage or hear upbeat respectful conversation with real people, not lame dudes just tryin’ to front. Also, Brad is a very attentive barber and does a great fade. I’ll be honest wasn’t the best haircut I’ve had but he’s still getting to know my head and picky ass needs. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the whole experience so much I booked another appointment before I left. Oh and they are only appointment based which is great for my fellow professionals peeps out there who don’t have time for the shenanigans of the aforementioned establishments. He also gave me a discount for the first visit, which was nice. And the prices are fare to begin with. Looking forward to going back.

I come here every 2 weeks to get my hair done, and I have been coming here for many years. I always get the same result, GORGEOUS! They do my eye brows, make up for special occasions, hair, nails. All that you need is here, and the staff is wonderful and efficient.
You will never be disappointed with Jovance!

I love this salon I’ve been going here for almost 2 years and I’ve seen such a change in my hair since the beginning. Everyone does an amazing job and all of the ladies are very knowledgable. I ALWAYS walk out feeling like a new fresh beautiful woman again. Thanks Jovance!

Best eyebrow threading I love it sadly they are closed Sunday and Monday. Sandeep is the best eye brow threader. There hair salon is amaizing as well

I am very pleased with my hair and the service received today. India did an amazing job with my hair and gave wonderful advice on how to keep it straight and maintain my hair. I explained my issues and she gave wonderful advice for that too. My mom, sister and I all walked out of Jovance looking gorgeous and ready for the world… lol. Thank you Jovance for listening to my frustration, teaching me about products for my hair, and making sure that I was completely satisfied before left.

Great experience from call in to out the door.
I asked for the earliest appointment available and was pleasantly surprised by «today at 5.» The receptionists were friendly.
Argentina instantly made me feel comfortable, personally and professionally. She came up with a beautiful color to cover my gray and blend with the previous ombré. She trimmed my cut, without over doing it, and gave me a cute flip style – not something I’d wear everyday, but fun nonetheless. She listened to what I wanted and delivered with my tight timeline.
The atmosphere was warm and lively. Nice touch – they offered fruit infused water and hot tea. That day, there was also a jewelry, clothes and bags on display – no pressure and fun to browse when the color was developing.
After lots of local disappointments, I’ve found my hair home!

My wife has been coming here consistantly since they first opened. I appreciate that the team that they have there is professional, highly skilled with an up to the date skillset, polite, and a diversity that is welcoming. From time-​to-​time for some reason or another, I have to go inside… the facility is always immaculately clean, modern, and second to none. The various events that they hold throughout the year are always informative and impactful… Husbands, Wives, Sons, Daughters, Grandfathers, Grandmothers, Nephews, and Nieces… there is something for everyone.
(I haven’t seen anything for dogs or cats yet though.) Chklg!!! = Chuckling

Being new to the area and having coarse, thick hair, it took me more than a year to find a hairstylist and salon that I can trust. Let me tell you, ARGENTINA is my girl!!! I am so, so happy I decided to check out Jovance. Thanks to Argentina’s expertise and warm personality, I left Jovance a confident woman and know I’ll be coming back.
I made an appointment online and got confirmation about 3 days later via email. On the day of my appointment, I didn’t have to wait (don’t you hate when you make an appointment and still have to wait 30 minutes? Well, not here). The salon was really busy but it was still clean. They also offer you water, which is courteous. Really liked that.
I came in for a haircut/​hair fix, since I made the terrible mistake of trying to cut my own hair. Argentina did not make fun of me or make me uncomfortable. Instead she took it as a fun challenge to transform my hair into something I could be proud of. I went with her suggestions and she gave me the most beautiful layers and thinned out my hair. Now I can manage my hair and style it. She really got to know me and catered my hair to fit my life.
I left incredibly happy, not just because I got a great haircut, but because I got to meet an amazing hairstylist. Thanks Argentina!

I’m giving this place a 5 for threading. I’ve never tried to get my hair done before but I have to say that threading is the BEST! I’ve got my first threading experience here and since then I have never left. I don’t trust anyone to do my eyebrows except for the ladies here. They are so quick and on point that I can finish within 5 – 10 minutes. The price has increased but its still fairly cheap compared to everywhere else. It used to be $ 7 but now it’s $ 8.
A tip is to make sure that you get a stamp card and continuously come back here. It’s great! The wait can be crazy sometimes but it doesn’t take that long!

The price you have to pay you’d think this salon would have a cleaner and more organized salon.
The layout is terrible, plus the warmth is not felt by the front desk staff. From the moment I walked in I felt this uncomfortable tension throughout the salon. From the front desk, to the stylist and the various other women I encountered 5 women and only ONE made conversation with me.
My hair stylist attempted to make conversation but forgot to introduce herself to me. After she cut my hair she then proceeded to take 10 min to sweep and clean her own station. Which was reassuring but took time out of my appointment and just an awkward departure.
If you need to leave your client explain, «I’ll be right back». Plus it didn’t help that I found clumps of hair on my jeans because the seats were not wiped down.
The layout of the salon was extremely awkward. Having a waiting area in the middle of the salon where everyone is getting their hair washed, was uncomfortable. Then a styling station by the entrance and watching strangers walk by through the mirror was terrible too. The blow drying station is in the far back (while back there it was NOT pleasant to see clumps of hair blowing around).
The entire hour I had to walk around with my purse and lug it around to 4 different stations. There needs to be a locker system and just a cleanliness situation needs to be addressed.
The threading was the easiest and best part

Jovance Salon, specifically Molly Rotolo, came to my rescue on the most significant day of my life thus far, my wedding day! It was literally HOURS away from my wedding ceremony and my hair was just sabotaged at a salon called SHED, located in Emeryville. With time running out and feeling at a complete loss, I called my maid of honor in tears for help.
In shock by my horrendous experience, she quickly began searching and calling every salon in my vicinity. She was not having any luck. For the best preparation and success for any bridal hairstyle, is advanced booking and essential hair trials. I was aware of my unfortunate chances.
Thankfully, she remembered the many compliments I had given her on a stylish haircut a few months prior, created by Molly from Jovance Salon. Immediately calling and informing the staff of my chaotic situation, Molly was luckily working and made herself available right away to help.
As I arrived swollen eyed with tears, Molly quickly sat me down and reassured me that my hair will soon be taken care of. Amazingly, without hesitation, Molly styled my hair beautifully. It was unbelievable. In less than an hour, I never imagined my hair to look so perfect.
My tears of pain quickly turned into tears of pure joy and relief. My hair was gorgeous!!! Better than any style I could have created with time. I went from feeling completely hopeless to feeling like my ordeal was meant to be. Thank you Molly, you made a wonderful difference.
