Dave and the crew at D. C Auto get five stars and two thumbs up! This is my third visit and I have left feeling great each and every time. A family friend who is a mechanic recommended D. C Auto repair to my husband. As a woman I have been cheated a few times at OTHER auto repair centers, but not with Dave! These guys are knowledgable, friendly, efficient and affordable. Most of all they care are about their customers. Each time I come the waiting room is full of repeat customers which goes to show that D.C. Wants to earn your long term business. Thank you Dave!

I absolutely LOVE DC Auto. I recently got a used car and i had a lot of problems with it and from the first time i spoke with Dave (the owner) he made me feel like family and that i could trust him NOT to con me as a young woman knowing NOTHING about cars. He did all the work on my car and allowed me to pay him in weekly installments! I would reccomend DC Auto to anybody looking to get their car worked on by competent people who wont charge u an arm and a leg! This is now MY mechanic and anytime anybody asks me for advice on where to go i never have to think hard! ;) Thanks Dave & co! :*

Regarding Polo Shon’s post… this customer she brought her car to her main mechanic. and she got into an argument with him. so she decided to bring her car to dc auto repair. she came in with a check engine light on. we diagnose the problem and fixed it. after we fixed the car we parked it outside on the street because that’s all there is on San Pablo avenue. somebody hit her car .so Dave the owner asked her to get an estimate for the damage. she came back with the estimate and Dave the owner agreed to pay for the damage. and she got it fixed. free of charge to herself. Why would you post a negative review for something that wasn’t our fault and we paid for the repair even though we are not responsible for that kind of damage… Customers like this, keep your money and go elsewhere. also «the wanna-​be buff ass boy» went out of his way to smog her car for this person. the car failed smog, she say shell come back to pay for the smog which she never did… dont always trust reviews that you read from certain customers. if her previous mechanic didnt want to fix her car something must be up with her…

ALL I CAN SAY IS KEEP YOUR MONEY IN YOUR POCKET!!! So I got a simple light check and a Minor Tune up, when I came to pick up my car, someone hit my car or they none English speaking guys pulled it out and side swiped something and said nothing!!! Dave was good enough to honor they FUCK UP!!! Then I got into it with he’s Punk Ass Wanna be Buff Ass Brother!!! With he’s Fucked up additude!!! They park your Car on the Public street!!! But house all them None working ass cars in they Lot!!! Someone need’s to SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!!

I FEEL CHEATED! Dave is very unprofessional and does not stand behind his work. After not fixing the problem with my car (I had to bring it back 3 times) he gave me attitude and just brushed me off after I paid him my hard earned money. Times are tough. I don’t have money to waste. He didn’t do a diagnostic; just replaced parts based on my description of the problem.
He is moody and tries to work on too many cars at one time. Less mistakes would be made if he took his time and did it right!
I’ll never be back.
I have two friends who are not happy with him either.

Today was my first time getting my car fixed at DC auto repair. Great customer service, quality work and excellent turnaround time. Couldn’t be happier. This is an awesome repair shop. Wish I found this place sooner. Will definitely come again in the future.

I’ve been trusting my car (s) with Dave over the past 11 years. Dave is honest, reasonable, knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor! He has a small shop, not all fancy but trust me, they take care of your car!

This place is awesome. Dave is AMAZING. This shop is one in a million, you most likely will never find a place like this anywhere. Fair pricing. Honest and the quality is impeccable. I will always take my cars here and would recommend this shop to anyone. I myself commute almost 2 hours because the service is just that good!

Can not believe I am the first to write a review for DC Auto. The owner Dave is great. He is knowledgeable, trustworthy and fair in his prices. We have had him take care of our cars for the past 11 years, even my old Ford Taurus. Dave kept her running until I finally bought a new car. Now my new car is 5 years old and out of warranty. It’s back with Dave. Oh, and Dave is quick. The car is in and out in one day. He even stayed after hours to wait for my car to be towed in from SF. I highly recommend taking your ailing car to Dave in you live in the East Bay.
