I have been seeing Dr. Lawrence for over two years. He has helped me with my migraines, neck issues, and anything else I may need assistance with. I look forward to every visit and leave his office feeling relaxed.

If western medicine isn’t your thing and you’re done with Doctors practicing on you, DO visit Lawrence. He’s skilled, patient, kind, reasonable and really effective at acupuncture treatment.
Highly recommended or I would not be going there every 2 or 3 weeks with such results.

lawrence tien is wonderfully skilled in acupuncture and manual therapy. i had been to two others practicing acupuncture in the bay area, and neither of them can hold a candle to lawrence. my initial complaint of migraines is now under control. and several other complaints i’ve had since that one have been successfully treated.
lawrence is a gentle man, easy to talk to, listens carefully, and asks questions to better understand you. he is happy to answer any questions about this over-​two-​thousand-​year-​old practice and explain the treatments.
i so wish i had met him years ago!

Dr. Tien is very polite and gentle. He really cares about his patients with patience and a lot of attention. I feel safe with him. So far I only went visit him a few times, my primary health problem hasn’t been resolved but my second health problem is improving a bit gradually.
The only thing I don’t like is that he is not willing to show justice for his patient when his patient got sick from another doctor and filing claims on medical expense.

Lawrence is truly amazing. My neck went out and PT and meds did nothing day 1. I planned to return to PT day 2 (I am a PT so of course am a strong believer) but needed something that I would feel would give immediate, long-​lasting relief. I’m luckily super healthy and never have had musculoskeletal pain or taken meds in my life.
My friend referred me to Lawrence and I immediately got a good feel from him. He talked to me at length before I went into the clinic (he also went out of his way to fit me in). Well I hadn’t eaten much and proceeded to pass out during the treatment! He took such good care of me after, including calling that evening and the next morning to check on me.
The next morning I was significantly better. He spent so much time with me and made sure I was comfortable about knowing the next few steps to take to get to 100%. I asked twice if he thought I needed to come back and he was so honest, telling me I really wouldn’t need it. You don’t see this type of care nowadays, Lawrence truly cares and will help you decrease your pain!

Dr. Tien is terrific. He has the best bedside manner ever and I feel that he really cares. It is always calm in his office and he is super organized and cheerful, and there is great consistency in his treatment approach from session to session. Each treatment I feel an immediate improvement.

Dr. Tien helped me with back pain and wrist pain through acupuncture. It’s always nice and relaxing to have a treatment in his office. No one likes needles but acupuncture really does help. He’s also helped my husband with back, leg and shoulder pain as well. Highly professional and knowledgeable. If you’re considering acupuncture for your ailments, he’s a great acupuncturist to go to! 5 stars!

I was referred to Lawrence by a co-​worker who had a kink in her neck and by the time she walked out of his office it was gone. I gave him a shot to help with my indigestion problem, hot flashes and fatigue. I feel 100% better since I started acupuncture. It’s a big time commitment but worth it. Also, he accepts insurance if your health coverage includes acupuncture like mine does. There are now 3 people from my office now going to him. I highly recommend Lawrence.

Dr. Tien is incredible. He listens carefully to what’s wrong, treats your body holistically, and really really knows his stuff. I was nervous to try acupuncture as I’m not a huge fan of needles. He made me feel comfortable from the minute I walked in and even showed me on his own hand how the needle would look. I’m already feeling better and I can’t wait to go back again. Seriously, if you’ve ever considered getting acupuncture but weren’t sure if it would really be worth it or do anything – go here. You will be SO glad you did. Dr. Tien is as good as it gets. I’d give him at least 7 stars out of 5 if I could.

I’ve seen Dr. Tien several times due to recurring lower back pain. Each time I visit his practice I leave with reduced pain and improved mobility. Similar to what the other reviewers mentioned, his number one goal is your health and he’s not out to make an easy buck! Dr. Tien always gives me sound advice on how I can improve the health of my lower back such as certain exercises and proper posture. He tells me each and every time that he can’t cure my lower back issues and that it’s ultimately up to me do the necessary things to strengthen it, but when I do have a painful episode I know Dr. Tien will provide relief.

I found Dr. Tien to be very attentive to details, really pays attention to the patient’s problems, and always polite and professional. What really 5-​stars worthy though, is that his treatments definitely work wonders. I have had shoulder & neck problems for an extended period and finally improved after seeing Dr. Tien.

Finally, I have some time to Unilocal.I have been having some bladder and lower back pain since 2006. I went through all the western doctors such as urologist, neurologist, genocolygist, chiropractic, orthopedic and even I had a MRI. But no body could not figure what my problem is nor no body could not cure it .
So, I went to see Dr Tien in October 2011. He has been amazing and I started feeling better! I do have a faith in him and I believe that he can cure my problem completely. He has lots of knowledge and his personality sparks! Most importantly, he cares about you for real not just to make a bucks out of you! Seeing him is turly worth it! He is real «authentic» acupuncturist!

Dr. Tien is a natural, he is very personable, provides us with lots of feedback and information on the matter that brought us originally to him.
His advices about prevention are great.
His charisma and wisdom are invaluable, my husband and I look forward to go to our appointments and getting not only the therapy we need but the spiritual insight he provides you with.

I always look forward to my visits with Dr. Tien. He is very concerned for his patient’s health and will do anything he can to help you. He offers a variety of non-​invasive treatments as well as medication and injections. I have been going for acupuncture treatment many times, which have really helped with my ankle pain and leg. I’m finally able to get a good night’s sleep without waking up at night due to my pain. Dr. Tien know what is he doing and really can help me reduce all pains. I definitely recommend Dr. Tien to anyone who suffers from pain.

Dr. Tien is genius. My hubby woke up one day and could barely get out of bed. We made an appointment with Dr. Tien and as we were driving, my hubby winced in pain. Any little movement in the car, walking, anything, just made his whole body spasm in pain. We saw Dr. Tien that same day and after a few needles in the right places, he could move again! It was seriously amazing!!!
I had my own experience when I stupidly moved a plant in my office. I felt a pain in my left lower back and was so painful to drive, walk or move. I fortunately had an appointment the next day, so after a few needles in my palm, I regained movement and was better the next day. I don’t know much about Chinese medicine, but it really works!

This was my first time having acupuncture treatment and I must say that it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Dr Tien is very knowledgable and knows what he is doing. I have been to his office for a few treatments and I noticed a big difference after the first visit. It may take a few visits before the pain completely goes away but I have been very satisfied with the results and treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
