Tiny little shop with an extensive menu.
I appreciate their «top 10» list. It helped me decide much faster as I was a bit overwhelmed.
The smoothie tasted fresh, but it was nothing special. You can also add protein powder upon request. (.50) I don’t think it (or any other additive) is listed on the menu.
I’m giving them an extra star because the gentleman at the counter was extra helpful/​patient AND they sell kombucha.

Only good things to say about the products offered here. Their Acai bowls are AMAZING! No watered down, soggy, bland bowls like a lot of places in the area. Tastes like sweet, thick, pure Acai. Almost like ice cream or sorbet. Their smoothies and juices are great too, but it seems like their menu at the San Mateo and Burlingame locations are not the same. I arrived at the Burlingame location hoping to order a chai smoothie, only to find it not on the menu :(

TL;DR — Love the juices, smoothies and bowls… but one star off for the increase in price.
I used to love coming here because the price was fair and the staff were friendly.
Recently, looks like everything has gone up in price and it was justified by «more options». Well… I don’t really need more options, I just need my simple acai bowl and I would appreciate not paying extra so other people can have their options. -.-

I could definitely say you can find the best smoothies and juices in here ! Love it !

Great newbie experience here! Placed my order through Unilocal’s EAT 24 app. My juice was ready as soon as I arrived 15 minutes later. Located in downtown San Mateo, inside it is very vibrantly decorated, modern looking and impeccable. The two guys who were working were very friendly and attentive upon my arrival. I got some coupons and a juice stamp card :)
The Green Energy juice was very yummy! No wonder it is their most popular juice. Apple, lemon, celery, etc flavors were all very subtle, but a delicious combination. I felt so good and satisfied with my lunch juice. Next time I want to try the Kale Piña Colada. It’s small inside, so there isn’t much seating, but ideal for juice pick ups if you’re in the area.

I enjoyed this place a lot. I used Eat24 to order for pickup. Order was ready within 10 min at most (including the order confirmation and errrthaaang). When I got there, the two guys working were super nice. I bought a blueberry almond smoothie and acai bowl. The blueberry almond was sooooo good, but I drank too much at one time that I had to slow it down a little or else it wouldn’t be pretty. The one thing that wasn’t that big of a deal, but was a bit difficult. I had to take my order to go since I was going taking it to school with me. The acai bowl comes in a paper bowl and since it’s pretty much frozen purée on the bottom, the bowl was starting to get soggy. They just covered the top with another bowl. However it was pretty good. Could have done without the dried coconut though, but that’s my fault bc I forgot to tell them.
Overall, I think this place is really good. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

This place has awesome juice! I love the huge variety and the fact that they give you a top 10 juices.
I also love that they have kombucha since not a lot of places have that option. The prices here are a lot cheaper than what I’m used to! They have smoothies and juices for under $ 7. (I’m from New York, where a juice is usually $ 10 a pop).
I came into this juice spot completely overwhelmed by the number of options they had and the guy at the counter was super helpful and patient with me. He asked me what I wanted and what I didn’t like and if I wanted something more savory or more refreshing. It was a really pleasant experience for me and I would absolutely revisit this place next time I’m around!

While waiting for my mom, I took a stroll in the scorching hot hot hot weather in San mateo and saw a lot of restaurants, asian mainly, and this one caught my eye… SIDEWALK JUICE!!! I’ve seen a few in the city and I walked in!
Asked for recommendations, he recommended a smoothie since it was so hot. I decided I wanted a green drink… you know to be healthy and all…
He recommended a few and I opted in for a double the greenness drink. First sip… all I taste was the ginger… my drink wasn’t cold at all, afterall, it is freshly made juice.
Every sip I drank, ginger each time… spicy! But I’m halfway done already. Next time I’m going to get me a smoothie cuz it reads hella tasty. strawberry bomb? Strawberry is ma fave!!!
Yikes. my drink was $ 8.50, that’s a complete meal right there. Thought it was a little pricey!

Whoever was working on the morning of May 28^th was super nice and also made one of the best looking Acai bowls I’ve ever seen. Tasted great as always.
This is my go to breakfast place when I’m in San Mateo.

I saw the dragon fruit smoothies poster so was curious to try. I walked and the person has zero customer service which is fine as I am just getting a smoothies. Upon drinking, it tasted quite bitter so I thought it was just me. The more I drink, the more bitter it become so I walked back and asked for an exchange. I told the guy that the smoothies was bitter and if that’s normal? He said «I don’t know. I never try it.» I was like «fine. I don’t think that’s normal and I think it’s bad orange juice.» He then said «the Orange juice just came from the machine. So what do you want?». I was like” it’s not normal to be bitter so I want to exchange to Smthg else.” He then proceed to making a smoothies banging on fridge door getting fruit and it taste a lot better. However, attitude is minus 100 points here. Good luck on bringing more customers.

Jamba Juice is no match for Sidewalk Juice. This place provides fresh and healthy juices that keeps you coming back for more! There is a large selection of juices and drinks to order as well as yummy acai bowls! Friendly staff with great customer service — I got my drink with a side of smiles!
I despise the menu with the small font letters though. Take out your reading glasses when you walk in the door.

Everyone is so nice here and always so friendly. I love the acai bowls the best. The owner, Jason is super nice and helpful! Love this place!
For smoothies I always get the Berries Valencia and substitute blueberries for the Sorbet. Yum!

All in all, a good healthy acai bowl that was slightly too funky in texture. I had better elsewhere…

Great customer service as soon as we walked in.
We had groupons and I was glad they weren’t already annoyed of all the groupons being used.
We got the peach mango which the kids loved.
I got the berry mango which didn’t last long. Yes it’s that good!
Also got a mango madness?
All the smoothies were fresh and delicious!
They also gave us a free bag of kale chips. I am no fan of kale chips but these weren’t too bad as they were pumpkin spiced.
Overall this place may be a little pricey
$ 5.50 for 16oz. But they are healthy and worth it… Once in awhile.

As much as I use to love Jamba Juice, I’m glad a new smoothie place stepped into town. You can immediately taste the freshness and the naturalness of the fruit. I’ve had the Pineapple Berry and Berry Valencia (weird… I’m not usually a big fan of berries), and the were both pretty good. I like how all the fruits are balanced so you can taste each of the fruits instead of having a smoothie where you can’t guess what’s in it.
Overall, this place is a little pricey (though Jamba Juice is too now — $ 5 for a 16oz?!), but at least feel a bit better of what I’m drinking.

Never-​ending juice/​smoothie menu here, all ingredients are super fresh and the guy that usually makes the smoothies and juices cranks them out like a ninja so wait is almost never an issue.
They have acai bowls too! It’s the closest to the ones I’ve had in Hawaii. They’re huge so be prepared to either be super hungry or to share the bowl.

Oh so sweet, splendid, and all-​around satisfying!
A year ago, you would not have found me anywhere near a place like this. My post workout drinks have slowly progressed from watermelon agua fresca to boba tea to water and finally, fresh squeezed juice. A Groupon for smoothies lured me in and I’m here to stay.
Enter Sidewalk Juice and you will find a colorful haven of fruits and vegetables. The employees greet you with a warm smile and will answer any questions as you mull over their long drink list. Can’t find anything you like? You can choose your own ingredients to customize a juice or smoothie!
My personal favorite is the Kale Colada which consists of fresh organic kale, coconut juice, pineapple, coconut shreds, and pineapple sorbet. Lately I’ve also been creating my own juices since I have an unfortunate allergy to birch pollen which is found on fresh peaches, pears, apples, etc and one of these fruits is in the majority of their set menu. The kind girl at the register helped me pick out ingredients that would balance each other out :)
My only qualm with this place is that it can be a pretty long wait (15−20min) for my juice since they sometimes only have one employee in the shop. Today there were 3 staff members and I hope it stays that way. In the long run, I should probably get my own juicer but Sidewalk Juice is a convenient and fun experience for me!

Sometimes I take a break from sodium and egg taco diet and «detox» with some juice from Sidewalk in downtown San Mateo.
I say, «detox», in quotes because I realize that having a single juice every 2 weeks on my way to stock up on instant ramen over at Suruki doesn’t constitute a detox, but for me that’s about as clean eating as it’s going to get.
I like coming to this little storefront because the juice guy here on Saturday mornings is pretty funny and usually gives me some pretty generous tastes of other juices he’s blended up for other people and I’m not one to complain about complimentary sloppy seconds.
They’ve got juice and smoothies all made fresh and even offer kombucha on tap, which you can also get in a juice blend. Personally, I like the juice better straight because I think kombucha is a little too vinegar-​y for me and just doesn’t live up to my favorite ‘buch from Revive up in Santa Rosa.
I think my favorite juice that I’ve tried so far is the Bruce Lee because it’s double spinach, double kale, orange, apple, double ginger and it’s under $ 7 for a large. Pretty hard to beat.

Pretty good acai bowl ((100% organic acai purée, bananas, strawberries, frozen blueberries, shredded cocounut and granola).
Also tried the Citrus Hurricane (pineapple, orange, double lemon, double ginger 5.25) which I didn’t really care for.
I didn’t taste the double ginger. The ginger taste was pretty faint.
