Disappointment. At first I was happy with Jess’ care for our family… until I gave birth to our second son. I was attempting a VBAC and she was super helpful and supportive to my husband and I during my labor. After several hours of labor I was rushed to the ER for my second C-​section. I never saw Jess again. She wasn’t there when I came out of surgery. She didn’t respond to our calls. She never came to our agreed upon postpartum visit. Again she was helpful during labor and was supportive to my husband but not what I would ever expect from a doula. I don’t know why she never responded and felt abandoned by someone I had paid to support me. :(

Jessica is a great friend, but more importantly a fabulous, caring, and thoughtful doula. Not only did she help my sister-​in-​law, Samantha, with postparnum for her first daughter (from swaddling to breastfeeding to general queries), but she also made sure I was comfortable, rested, and fed. Jess came to visit us in the hospital even though she had spent the past couple of days at other births. She came bearing calming lavender spray and soothing words, as well as delicious and healthy treats. Jess also made sure Samantha’s instructions were being followed. When Samantha felt the nurses weren’t following her instruction about feedings, Jess stepped in and made sure they understood her desires.
If you would like education, guidance, or support for your prenatal, birth, or postparnum care, Jess is the best! She has a vast knowledge of her field and provides practical, cost-​effective solutions to everyday problems. Her services are comprehensive: Jess provides workshops, training, resources, and emotional/​spiritual support, giving you the best option for your family’s lifestyle. Because Jess is an insatiable reader and embraces continued education, she constantly uncovers new philosophies and adapts those to her caregiving. I’m so happy she was there post-​C section to help care for my niece, sister-​in-​law, and me. Invaluable person to have around pre– during, and post-​birth!

Jessica is AMAZING! It’s difficult to find words strong enough to describe how incredibly valuable she was to us approaching, during and after our daughter’s birth.
At first, we weren’t sure we would hire a childbirth doula. I wasn’t sure I would feel comfortable with a «stranger» in the delivery room. But after our initial meeting with Jessica, we were hooked! Her peaceful, friendly, and approachable demeanor instantly drew my hubby and me in. She made us feel comfortable with whatever options we wanted to go with. No pressure at all. I instantly felt comfortable with her, and felt I could be 100% myself around her. She answers questions with a vast range of knowledge and hands-​on experience. Jessica supported us in whatever way we needed/​wanted, instead of pushing her beliefs. She is flexible and understanding of all different situations. She helped me feel empowered as a woman/​mother to give birth to our daughter the way I wanted. She also supported my husband through the process of becoming a father, and included him as an active participant in the birthing process, too.
She even went out and got us In-​and-​Out burger after the birth!!! YUM-​O! How cool is that?!
I recommend Jessica to any soon-​to-​be or new parents, every chance I get! Anyone interested in or in need of support and guidance through childbirth should do themselves a favor and contact Jessica.

There is something very calming about Jessica’s presence. My baby (a very fussy «high needs» baby) can feel it, and so can I. I can be myself around Jessica and never feel a need to put on a «mask» which is very important for me in working with a midwife/​doula. –Michael K’s Wife
