Kenneth Passeri, DPM

Kenneth J. Passeri, DPM is a highly trained and skilled podiatric physician and surgeon. A 1984 graduate of the California College of Podiatric Medicine, in San Francisco, California, he has practiced the art and science of medical and surgical foot and ankle care for over twenty years. After completing his residency in podiatry and foot surgery at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, he moved back to his home town of San Mateo, California and started practice. Dr. Passeri combines the latest medical and surgical adavnces in foot care and foot surgery with a time honored approach to good patient care; communication and full time and attention to the patient’s needs and concerns.

After seeing possibly the least helpful, most presumptive and dismissive podiatrist in the area, I asked a friend, a fellow nurse, if she had a recommendation – someone who was willing to understand somewhat unusual situations that led to foot problems. She referred me to her parents’ podiatrist, Dr. Passeri, and I’m most happy she did.
First of all, his office staff is cordial, most respectful, compassionate and most helpful. Paperwork for necessary medical leave is done on time. If a scheduling glitch occurs, it’s fixed.
Dr. Passeri is thorough, most respectful, and pleasantly professional. His explanations are complete, including a thorough review of X-​Rays, options, procedures, healing process, follow up, post-​procedure care (verbal and written) and he works quickly and follows all the proper pre-​and post-​procedural steps of care… unlike my previous DPM who shall remain nameless here. Nice to have my questions and concerns addressed with such a kind and professional attitude. There are no guarantees in medicine, but this provider gives me the best chance for a good outcome.

Dr. Passeri was recommended to me for horrible foot pain. I have been seeing him now for about three months and I could not be happier. I highly recommend him, if you need a podiatrist.
He is very patient, very thorough, transparent and most importantly he educates you. I left each appointment with a thorough understanding of what was going on. I have had a bunion surgery, and I had the peace of mind knowing this was the right decision. After evaluating all of my options, I felt I made the right choice.
Dr Passeri called me the evening and day after my surgery to check on me. I was so impressed with his personalized level of care. Another thing I really like about him is that he educates me on over the counter products, or less expensive alternatives. He is one of those doctors that you can tell really love what they do, and they care about you.
His office staff is amazing too. Joy and Rachel were very patient with all my questions, discussing financing options, and just everything. Thank you Dr. Passeri and ladies for all that you do.

You’ll rarely hear someone day, «I’m looking forward to the day when Dr. Passeri can finally poke a needle in my foot!» (to relieve pain), but that’s exactly how I feel!
I’ve been grappling with a worker’s comp issue since April of 2014.
Dr. Passeri was engaged to review the case my and provide expert opinion to the insurance company that had discontinued treatment based on bad information provided by the original worker’s comp podiatrist.
Dr. Passeri, without having a copy of my file, took over an hour to gather information from me and build a new file. He also took x-​rays right there in his office, and subsequently provided an accurate report to my attorney to be used in an upcoming hearing.
I’m still waiting for the green light for treatment, and I’m very grateful to this thoughtful, caring podiatrist for helping me get over this hurdle.

Well as a result of Palo Medical Foundation choosing not to work on my much needed foot problems, my bunion and hammer toes, my friend found Dr. Passeri! She is a RN nurse, who did her homework on Podiatrists’. I cannot tell you how happy and thankful that Dr. Passeri said he could help me. My foot’s problems can only get better, not worst if nothing was done. It wasn’t the insurance company; they approved the work with ease. It’s been a week now, I’m confident that all goes well! I am so thankful he did the surgery so that I can walk without pain in the future years! He is great and efficient!
This was a 2.5 hour outpatient procedure, and if you monitor your meds and stay off your foot it’s not a pain. If you’re on a flat area, I got around on a desk chair with wheels, no problem. My insurance company did cover the knee scooter, but didn’t need it around the house. Good Luck and you are choosing the right Doctor for one of the most important parts of your body!
At 3 weeks, I stopped using my crutches… hate those things! and now 8 weeks i’m wearing flat shoes and walking carefully! Foot looks great!

Dr. Passeri is an extraordinary podiatrist and surgeon. Every time I have gone to him for help, he has provided excellent counsel and care. I say this with confidence because I am a long-​standing patient and received exceptional care for various challenges over the years (i.e., DVT syndrome, bone spurs, broken toe, etc.) With complete confidence, I attest to Dr. Passeri’s exceptional skills. When he operated on both of my feet at the same time to remove several painful bone spurs (I am a runner), who knew that my left foot’s metatarsal bone would have virtually zero marrow and was in such bad shape that Dr. Passeri would have to re-​build the bone’s innards. I cannot say enough about his kind patient care, best-​case outcomes, medical insights, and counsel. And. yes, after both feet healed, I was able to run again with zero pain. Thank you, Dr. Passeri!

I came to Dr. Passeri when I had an incredibly painful ingrown toenail on my big toe. He could tell right away that he would have to do a partial nail plate avulsion (where they cut out a part of your nail and make sure it doesn’t grow back so the ingrown toenail doesn’t come right back). I’m not going to lie and tell you it was painless, but he was a true professional, made sure I was as comfortable as possible, and even joked with me to calm my nerves. He always answered every question I had and showed care and concern for my recovery and followups.
Dr. Passeri deserves all five stars! Definitely a keeper!

My mother is almost 90 years old and has terrible feet. She wears foot and ankle braces so she can walk. These have to be laced on each morning and take about 10 minutes to put on.
Dr. Passeri was recommended as someone who could custom make a pair of braces which he told us would have better support and would attach very quickly with velcro fasteners.
On our first visit, Dr Passeri made molds of both of her feet and promised to have the braces made in 4 to 6 weeks. After a couple of months, he told us that the molds were not correct and had to be re-​done so we went back to his office for another session.
It is now over six months since the first visit and the second pair of braces that the Doctor had made are a failure. The left one hurt my mothers foot and the right brace was so poorly made that he could not even make it fit into either of the two pair of shoes she wears. He agreed that the right brace was bad and agreed to refund our money.
Find another podiatrist.

I had hammer toe surgery on my 2nd toe and it did not work — I went to him for reconstructive surgery this was over a year ago and it did not work.
I could tell something was wrong but when I asked questions he brushed me off like I was bothering him. I found his bedside manner undesirable. Now my toe is worse — maybe it was not his fault but he could have acted more concerned. I never went back to him. On the plus side his assistants were helpfull — but they dont do the operations!

I got a list of several Podiatrists from my Insurance Company and just picked the nearest one to my home. What a great choice I made, too! Dr Passeri and his office staff were wonderful! They were all very professional, kind and dealt with my toe issue right away… even brought me a bottle of water during the procedure, as I was thirsty! I was back doing everything I did before the problem, in only a few days. I would recommend him highly! He seems to really know his business.

I took my daughter here today on short notice as we both had questionable mani-pedi’s at a local nail salon.
The office is nice with lots of street parking and a lot also located next door. We did not have to wait long, and the minimal wait time was not wasted, we found a Highlights Magazine and the Hidden Picture puzzle, but I digress… Neither one of us had ever been to a Podiatrist before so we found the medical charts of various foot maladies fascinating. I kind of knew what bunions were, but hammer toe? (When I busted out my rendition of «Hammer Toe»! to the tune of Hammer Time, even my daughter giggled)
Dr. Passeri and his staff were wonderful. He gave us both a good exam and gave my daughter the special attention she deserved.
Word to the wise — never under any circumstances let a nail salon use nail instruments that you do not witness coming out of an autoclave or ever put your feet in a «spa chair» for a pedicure. I should have known better.
