History

Established in 2003.

With a vision of communicating the Asian culture and arts to the West, Moxa Chiu, founded Lyons Emprise HK Ltd in 1972, from one person entrepreneur to a global enterprise employing over 300 skillful goldsmiths, serving global markets.

The process is an interesting one. By visiting our store in 25th Ave, San Mateo, you will notice the process. Moxa Creations has huge collections on artifects carved from various stones, cinnaba, cloisonné. The coca cola Contour Collection of 1996 Olympic game, The Terry egg, Rainbow collections, list goes on and on…

The new store Moxa Creations, combining the wholesale (Moxary Inc) and retail (Domo in Burlingame Ave) was established in 2003 to serve San Mateo Community. This time with a new vision of creating an Eco Friendly environment.

The major focus is on re-​cycling, re-​design, with that goal, we also known as «Eco-​Artist»

Moxa is the Founder/​Owner of Moxary Inc (established in 1983 USA),

Moxa Creations, Jew​el​ryNet​.com

She is also the original Founder/​Owner of Lyons Emprise HK Ltd, established in 1973 in Hong Kong, which also operate a fine gold jewelry manufacturing plant in Guangdong, China. Employing over 300 goldsmiths in China and Hong Kong.

Lyons Orefice Ltd, specialized in creating and manufacturing fine gold jewelry,(14K & 18K and silver) set with gemstones and pearls, military rings, and accessories.

Moxary Inc is the major distribution channel for Lyons Emprise, who participate major trade shows such as JCK in Las Vegas, Basel Fair in Switzerland.

Moxa Creations is the outlet for Moxary Inc

JewelryNet was established in 1995 to handle the on-​line marketing & sales.

I have been a customer of Moxa Creations for many years. I have recommended this shop to family and friends for years and finally decided to share this gem of a store (pun intended) on Unilocal too.
Moxa Chiu is the owner and she is a very knowledgeable and creative jewelry designer.
Moxa Creations is not an ordinary store with mass produced jewelry. Moxa Creations is the place to go for one of a kind jewelry or to purchase loose beads, gems and pearls of which she has a wide variety on display.
Over the years Moxa Creations has become known as the place to go for jewelry repairs and re-​design. She rejuvenates and redesigns existing pieces by adding new materials and removing broken gems. Moxa is a skilled and artistic jeweler who will give new life back to your old jewelry.

I discovered Moxa Creations recently and have become a fan!
The selection of jewelry is amazing, ranging from very pretty, fun and affordable gift possibilities, to incredibly creative, stunning high fashion and elegant art-​type pieces. Moxa aims to please and will work with you to turn your jewelry visions into reality.
The shop is more like a gallery, with lovely displays, accessibility to try jewelry on, and excellent prices for stunning bracelets, earrings and necklaces of beautifully matched pearls and semi-​precious stones. Unique new possibilities await you, or you can take your own jewelry in to be reworked or repaired!
Anything purchased here is made from real pearls and gemstones, and would become family heirlooms, creating memories and a legacy. Pieces you may already own can be modified to reflect more modern fashion trends to update your looks.
I highly recommend regular visits to Moxa Creations to see the latest creative pleasures!

This business left me with the worst taste in my mouth. I hate writing negative reviews but because customer service is so good in California, I think it is important to note the exceptions.
I went in to Moxary to get some hundred dollar pearl chandelier earrings made for my wedding. The saleswoman spoke limited English but assured me that if I didn’t like how they turned out, they could alter them. When I returned, the earrings looked pretty good but she had missed a couple things. She turned into a monster when I pointed this out and acted as if she had never said that fixing them would be no problem.
To her credit, she did fix them and they turned out fine, but when I paid them, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the way she treated me.

I kept passing by this plain little storefront whenever I parked nearby and had to walk across the street to the post office, until one day I finally decided to amble in. From the outside, it’s not especially impressive, although the jewelry displays in the windows are nice: mostly knotted pearl and gemstone bead designs with some occasional chain/​wirework.
The inside was a pleasant surprise, with a spacious gallery layout and gleaming glass cases. There are usually two ladies in the back, making more jewelry from their neatly laid out stash of supplies which are also available for sale– a fairly good variety of semiprecious stone chips and rounds hung on pegs in a wall niche, a lot of freshwater pearls, and some more rarified stones and shapes inside more glass display cases.
I still haven’t bought anything from them, since I’ve mostly switched over to glass beads instead of stones, but on occasion I’ve overheard one of the ladies cheerfully chatting with a devoted repeat customer of their finished jewelry. Their designs are attractive and original, and the prices seem fairly reasonable.
They definitely have a better selection of stone beads than JoAnn’s or Michael’s, or possibly even The Beading Frenzy (which iirc devotes most of its space to glass, crystal, and cordage/​findings)– if you need to shop for some basic stone beads in person, but don’t want to drive too far from the Mid-​Peninsula or wait for a holiday bead expo, I’d suggest coming here.
