Marshall Michaelian, DDS

Went in today for a root canal. Able to get a last minute appointment. Dr Marshall j Michaelian was very professional, attentive and gentle. He took the time to explain to me the procedure and made sure I was comfortable. The discomfort of the root canal was minimal and tolerable. The staff were very nice also. I was lent headphones so I can listen to music for distraction while the procedure was taking place. It was a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this practice. Jazz M

Feel compelled to share my bad experience! The root canals failed and caused me endless pain everyday. Huge waste of money and time.
After the root canals both teeth continued to hurt so the general dentist could not put on the crown until the tooth pain was gone yet the pain never left. Needless to say, I went back to the doctor so he can recheck the root canal work he did and said it was fine. Well, obviously if I still have pain it’s not fine!
I took the initiative and paid to get a 2^nd opinion and 3^rd opinion by other root canal doctors. The two other Endodontist Doctors stated they would need to retreat and redo the root canals because the roots were not reached all the way so that was the cause of my pain. Also, it would cost me $ 1,500 for each tooth to retreat! Terrible news!
In the end, both teeth were extracted! I’ve spent close to 1.6k and continuous pain for nothing. Now I will have to spend more money on a bridge or implant. At least, I should be issued a refund and apology but of course I can’t expect that from this office.
In response to the comment about the payments, they were paid and it should not be mentioned here as it has nothing to do with my bad experience. To clarify, at the time I had to change my credit card and account. In conclusion, they were paid in full. Again, this has nothing to do with my bad experience. This just goes to show you the level of unprofessionalism by the office manager who I was made aware responds to the Unilocal reviews.
Finally, in the comments it states, «it is rare Michaelian Endodontics gets a negative review on Unilocal» yet if you search their Daly City office on Unilocal you will find customers who Unilocaled negative experiences. The fact is, I endured continuous pain and spent a great deal of money for nothing!

Dr Marshall is the kindest and gentlest dentists I have ever met. I love his brilliant bedside manner and life advice, as well as his state of art digital x-​ray which pops up right in front of you moments after it’s taken!
I would highly recommend his practice; everyone there was so helpful and happy too!

I am no longer terrified, as lobg as I can see this dentist if ever needed again. The sweetest staff, down to business, careful, kind, thorough, thoughtful, professional… who says that about the dentist? So grateful, even for the hot towel to freshen up afterward…

Dr. Michaelian Senior is simply the best!
