Highly recommend — I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Teresa does a fantastic job — I’ve received numerous compliments on each of the ~10 pieces she’s framed for me. I live 50 minutes away from her shop, and I still go to Long Sung Tong every time. Teresa is truly passionate about her work, gives a lot of time and effort and thought to each piece she frames, and takes great pride in her craftsmanship. One time she was replacing a frame for me, and when I came back to pick it up, I found that she had also replaced the old mat (which had a crease in it) with a newer, much nicer one, for free. She did it because she felt the picture needed it, which it did. And she would not accept payment for it! In general, she is very inexpensive compared to other framing stores — in fact, sometimes I worry that she’s actually losing money on some of the jobs!

Teresa has made very beautiful frame work for Old Japanese handmade arts which is much better than I thought when I ordered. She gave me very reliable impression when we discussed how to design the frame and inside paper work.
I strongly recommend this shop for first customer.

Teresa has framed about 30 pieces for our house, and does a fantastic job every time. Her prices are reasonable, she’s pleasant to work with, and she turns out a fine product.

Teresa did an awesome job! I had two oil paintings that have been sitting rolled up under my bed for the last three years, i finally decided get them framed up and went on Unilocal to look for my different options. Went to michaels first and got a quote for $ 800 (for one). They had also recommended i use a glass frame. WHAT?!
Then i went to long sung tong frames and met teresa. She was absolutely brilliant, a few minutes after talking to her, i knew this is where id be getting the job done. She showed me some options and suggestions and the prices were very reasonable for the great work. Turns out all you need is a good frame and craftsmanship :)
Just picked up my art pieces, truly fantastic. She was able to get all the wrinkles out of my canvas, and also did some touch ups to fix some blemishes.

Stop right now if you are looking at any other place in the bay area to get your pieces framed. I have been hauling around a hand crafted tapestry for EIGHT YEARS, trying to find the right place (and the right time, budget wise) to frame it. Being new to the Bay Area, I did my due diligence in researching shops within a ~20 mile radius to see where I might get the most equitable services.
Not only was Theresa’s work the most cost effective, it is impressive! She took great care of my piece, and made sure to give me a product that both her and I would be proud of. She is easy to work with, good humored, kind, and is an expert in her industry. She walked me through each step of the process to ensure I was comfortable with her approach and plan. When choosing a color scheme, I think she may have been more invested than me :) She truly strives to deliver the best product, service, and experience.

The price and the quality of the work is great! Teresa really takes the time to collaborate with you on how to format the frame and what matte color would make the painting pop. She is a really lovely lady and really takes great pride and care in what she does.

I brought a silk picture that was embroidered to Teresa. It was a family heirloom and very valuable to me. Teresa did a fantastic job. She gave me great advice on the perfect frame and matting. It is very difficult to find a person knowledgeable and skilled at stretching and pressing this type of artwork. Teresa is very professional, prompt, and talented. It was a pleasure to work with her. I also felt her prices were very reasonable. I would like to give her my highest recommendation.

This is a great framing store. We had 9 prints that needed to be framed. Some were Chinese some not. Theresa did an outstanding job matting and framing them. She has a great eye for color and appropriate frames. You will not be disappointed with her work and her prices are extremely fair.

Teresa is a skillful framer with great knowledge when it comes to framing, paper handling, and conservation. I’m an artist working with a variety of western and Japanese papers; whatever work-​on-​paper I bring Teresa, she will frame in a contemporary fashion while protecting the artwork.

My friends had gotten something framed at Long Sung Tong and recommended that I check it out. I took an old Asian painting from my parents’ storage and had it re-​framed. The painting had belonged to my grandparents but was sitting in storage due to a missing part in the frame and cracked glass. Theresa did an amazing job re-​framing the paining and making it look more modern. She is very sweet and guided me through her recommendations on what looked best.

She did an amazing job on creating shadow boxes to display my grandmother’s handmade Hawaiian quilts. She showcased them nicely. Her price was very reasonable. Another place in Belmont wanted to charge double and was going to matte them. I am so glad my mom found Theresa. She was quick and the quality of her work was exceptional. Definitely check her out for all of your framing needs.

This review is way overdue. I worked with Teresa in early 2013 for several huge posters to be framed to take overseas.
She was really fast and her recommendation was right on. The end result was beautiful, that our client also complimented the finish work.
I was a bit in a hurry, but Teresa was able to finalize it in a timely manner. The price was good and she was so flexible working with my schedule as well. I highly recommend her to anyone.

11/​27, a quick follow-​up, my mom saw the framed print (she gave us the print) and said «wow! it looks amazing!» She’s not one to just say stuff, so it’s a big deal.

I came to this shop back in the fall to get some vintage movie posters from Japan framed. They have different standard sizes over there so nothing off the shelf. Would fit. The lady was a bit worried about how good of a job she could do since they were already wrinkled, but I told her not to worry about that and that I just wanted them framed to look as much like the posters at the movie theater as possible.
She finished them earlier than her 2 week estimate and when I went in to pick them I was stunned. They looked fantastic, and exactly as I had hoped — they were even flat as can be.
Long Sung Tong does great work for a fair price. I plan to go back to have my Japanese wood block prints matted and framed.

After spending countless hours (and months) trying to figure out a way to frame a large print for my dining room without completely breaking the bank, I stumbled upon Theresa’s shop.
After visiting Aaron Brothers and getting quoted $ 850, a place in Belmont $ 600, a place in San Carlos $ 500, a place in the city $ 350 and then finally came along Long Sung Tong $ 260 for everything highest quality archival materials. It wasn’t just the price that convinced me, I could tell Theresa totally knew what she was doing. Yes, it may be a little difficult to communicate at times, but she has a great eye, makes good recommendations, and is very meticulous (and my nickname is The Eagle Eye, so my vote of confidence should count for something).
She spent a good hour going over options with me until we setttled on all the specifics. When I came back to pick it up, not only did she do exactly what we agreed on she even did an extra matte underneath the floating matte to really finish it off. So great! And when I got there she said don’t worry about the tax, she would pay it. So sweet. I already brought another little cheapy print that I just wanted her to cut the size of the matte that I already had. She said it wouldn’t look good and would just cut me a new matte and only charge me $ 10 for her labor AND have it ready the next day. I could’ve hugged her… oh wait, I did!
Definitely have my new go-​to for any framing I need done! Go, you will not be dissapointed.

What a hidden gem! If you go looking for it (and believe me, you should) you’ll probably drive right by about three times, it’s totally nondescript. But inside contains the most fantastic framer. She’s totally sweet and funny, gives good estimates and does fantastic work. I’ve already been to her three times in the last six months, and now that I’ve moved to the city from the peninsula, I will continue to patronize her.
She took a simple poster I bought from a street vendor in London and turned it into a work of art with her multiple floating mattings. I also brought an oil painting that now looks fabulous in it’s new frame. She’s great at listening and making recommendations, doing everything from simple and cheap up to large and extravagant. I can’t wait to pick up my latest piece from her.

Every city should have a custom framer as talented and reasonably priced as Long Sung Tong.
I took two pieces of artwork there to get framing estimates, but intending to shop around a bit. I left both with Teresa that day and less than two weeks later had two exquisitely framed items for less than I would have paid for one at most framing shops.
Don’t let the «Oriental Frames» part of the business name throw you. Yes, clearly she’s got a clientele that collects Asian art, so you will see a lot of it on display. But that’s not all she can do. My two pieces — a colorful print by a South American artist and an inexpensive poster — look great framed in the style (floating mattes) she recommended.
High quality work, creative recommendations, reasonable prices, speedy turnaround… Long Sung Tong has everything I want in a framing shop. I’ll be visiting again soon with my next project!

Teresa did it again. This time I brought in some newspaper articles from our wedding. The paper were all folded and wrinkled, so I wasn’t sure what she was able to do with it. I brought in a frame that I already have and wanted her to match it.
The result, excellent again. Her framing matched my current frame, and she was able to frame 3 pieces of newspaper clippings that I wanted. It turned some junky looking newspapers into a fancy looking piece.
