Jennifer Bock-Hughes, MD

Dr. Bock-​Hughes is one of the finest most proactive physicians I have ever dealt with. After a recent procedure, and by the time I had arrived home, Dr. Bock-​Hughes had already phoned me to discuss the results! I was so impressed. Each visit and follow-​up contact I’ve had with the doctor and the office has been easy and rated «excellent» in my book. A great ENT doctor.

She literally saved my life! Dr. Boch is extremely intelligent and friendly while always professional at the same time. Yes, her office is very busy but they have a lot of clinicians working. I have never waited an unreasonable amount of time.

Dr. Bock is not for me. I was in and out of my appointment in about 5 mins. She seems busy and didn’t take the time to explain and address my concerns. She would be a wonderful surgeon. But not good in explaining and sharing information.

Dr. Jennifer Boch-​Hughes is an amazing doctor, she literally saved my life. My daughter was seeing the doctor for a viral infection. I wasn’t the patient, but I had been suffering from a terrible sore throat for days. I had been to my GP, had a strep test and it came back negative. When I told Dr. Boch-​Hughes about it, she offered to examine me. She found the I had early stage acute epiglottitis. This is when the flap to the esophagus becomes infected and can rapidly cause one to suffocate. Dr. Boch-​Hughes called me the next day to see how I was doing on my prescriptions. She is so conscientious and caring she went over and above the call of duty, I am truly indebted to her. By the way, the reception staff was wonderful too.

Dr. Bock-​Hughes is one of the top physicians in her field, educated at Yale Medical School and interned at prestigious UCSF. She is an absolute expert in ENT and so good with her patients. She really is knowledgeable and she really cares about the well being of her patients. She takes time to make sure her patients are well looked after. I highly, highly, highly recommend her. She really stands out in her practice and professionalism.

Dr. Bock-​Hughes is the best ENT specialist in the area. She has a very sweet personality and never rushes through my exam. I have chronic sinus problems due to another medical condition, so I see Dr. Bock several times a year. She always asks how my family is doing and remembers information I told her months before.
She is such a popular doctor that it is not uncommon to have to wait a few weeks to get an appointment, which can be a source of frustration for the appointment schedulers. Be patient, I assure you, an appointment with her is worth the wait.

I’ve seen Dr. Bock once, for about 3 minutes, she was cold, very business like, efficient. After those 3 minutes Dr. Bock took me to the back office and clearly said to the clerk that she needed to schedule a MRI for me. The clerk told me to wait for her phone call to schedule the MRI. 2 weeks later I called, the clerk said that Dr. Bock never told her anything.
I had the MRI done at the Sequoia Hospital, where they told me that the MRI report should be at Dr. Bock’s office in 3 days maximum. 7 days later I call Dr. Bock’s office, they have no idea where my MRI is, they transfer me back and forth until no no answers the phone. I am now investigating where the MRI report can be. The clerk told me that Dr. Bock might have it, but that she didn’t actually know where the MRI report was.
I reserve my opinion about Dr. Bock, but her office staff is one of the most incompetent that I’ve seen in my 52 years on earth.

I have been going to Dr. Bock for a little over two-​in-​a-​half years and couldn’t be happier. She is very nice, thorough, knowledgeable, and takes the time to answer your questions. I see her for semiannual ear cleanings as I produce a lot of wax, treatment of nasal allergies which we are getting a handle on, and a deviated septum and prolapsed cartilage which I will have surgery for at some point. She tells you what she is going to do before she does it and explains her findings and treatment options to you in plain English; she lets you think it over if you haven’t decided right than and there in the chair. As far as the allergies are concerned, she has been wonderful in trying out different nasal sprays, eager to find the right one and having me take Zyrtec as well. I love the «ask a doctor» feature on the site which allows you to send a secured form to your doctor with any questions and/​or concerns; Dr. Bock or one of the office personnel has always gotten back to me via Email or phone in a timely manner. The office staff is very also very friendly and knowledgeable. So, for excellent ear, nose, and throat care, Dr. Bock and her staff cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.

I saw Dr Bock for a thyroid problem. She is a very competent ENT doctor. She was thorough and thoughtful. She quickly responded and set up the appropriate tests and provided the results and monitored my case. She’s very bright and has good «bedside manners».

Dr. Bock is a wonderful doctor. She has always had time to answer my questions. I have been a patient for a few years and am totally satisfied. I must say that the waiting room can be quite crowed at times, I think that must be a good sign. She is experienced and has strong education and clinical expertise. MY most favored doctor. I’ve gone to Doctor Bock-​Hughes for several years and have been very satisfied with her treatment of me. She follows up and doesn’t seem to mind if I have questions. She diagnosed the inner ear problem that I had quickly and got me on the way to the major treatment that it required.

I’m not a big fan. I’ve been to Jennifer Bock-​Hughes twice and my biggest complaint is that she seemed irritated when I asked questions; not my style of doctor as I regard medical professions as partners in my health pursuits.
