History
Established in 1972.
July 10th 1972 Survival School opened its doors with 10 children. It was one the firsts of its kind, offering free child care. In 1978 the school was awarded a state grant and become a state funded child development center. In 1980, parents, and community volunteers, by hand, dug out the basment to create another beautiful classroom for 12 additional children. The unique name of our school comes from the blending of two concepts. It is an «Intercommunal» space, where many communities of childern gather as one. The word «Survival» expresses the school’s purpose to prepare children to be aware of the world around them and to be successful in school.
