Hem Up — formally MB Tailor has been in business in San Mateo for over 32 years. Its current owner Chester Lew — who owns Top Hat Cleaners in San Mateo (established 1958) has also been in the industry for over 30 years.

The tailors working in Hem Up shop are also excellent. Alice Fung and Ruben Sacco are well experience tailors. Each of them has over 40 years of experience in alteration and tailoring. Ruben Sacco, an Italian tailor, had worked for the well renowned San Francisco Wilke’s Bashford fine men clothing store for over 10 years.

Chester Lew — is the owner of Hem Up and Top Hat Cleaners in San Mateo and has been in the industry for over 30 years. Established since 1958, Top Hat Cleaners, with a stellar review from Yelp, is voted one of the best dry cleaners in Consumer Digest year after year for over 10 years.

The owner, Chester Lew is very knowledgeable in garment care. He is a dry cleaning specialist, a master dry cleaner, spot removal expert, certified from RR Streets and A. L Wilson chemicals and an inventor of YIYI Comb and is currently an advisor and consultant to dry cleaners in the Bay Area.
