Gordon Nagare, DDS

I have been a patient of Dr. Nagarre’s for over 15 years. He was highly recommended to me when I moved into the area. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a highly professional, gentle, dentist who uses state of the art equipment and can make even the most anxious patient relax with minutes. His front office staff is wonderful and his assistants focus on each patient in tandem with Dr. Nagarre. I am so glad Dr. nagarre is my dentist. He listens to any questions, concerns and ensures all his patients have excellent dental care.

It’s hard to find a good dentist but Dr. Nagare is one of the best dentists in the peninsula. He is a calm kind dentist that is very good at his work. I’ve never really felt any pain when I went to him and he always checks to make sure that I’m alright. I don’t see myself changing dentists anytime soon.

Dr. Nagare and his staff are excellent, awesome and caring… and provide outstanding and appropriate care. I’ve never been fond of the dentist (any of them, nothing personal, it’s me, not they) and Dr. Nagare and his staff make me feel at ease! Thank YOU.

Dr. Nagare is the best dentist I’ve ever had. I’ve had a bad experience with my prior dentist who only sees his patients as a lucrative income for him and does not care about their well being, makes you feel embarrassed of your teeth and has horrible bedside manners so I really know to appreciate someone like Dr. Nagare who is caring and wants the best for his patient not his wallet. His staff is also wonderful, I’ve just had my cleaning done by Lori and she was exceptional and I already look forward my next visit in this dental office.

Dr Nagare is my entire family dentist for over ten years. The best dentist in the entire Bay Area. He is extremely professional and take the time with all of his patients. My family will never switch and hopefully he has no plans on retiring for a very long, long time.

Dr. Nagare was one of the dentists recommended by the oral surgeon who extracted my wisdom teeth. I figure an oral surgeon sees many dental patients from many dentists.
I went to Dr. Nagare for a check-​up and teeth cleaning. He did the cleaning himself. It took a while since I had never had them cleaned before. The cleaning did seem to improve the tiny bit of gum irritation I was starting to have.
I also had a second appointment to get a couple small non-​cavity fillings. I started getting a few small spots of teeth deterioration and sensitivity during a period of drinking a lot of lemonade/​lemon water, and while I’ve read about the effect of acidity on teeth, he didn’t confirm that it could be related.
Not much chit chat which is fine although some explanations might be nice. He pretty much just walked in from behind, sat down, and started working on my teeth.

I had a decent dentist that I went to for many years when I lived in San Francisco, and I had no idea that the whole dentist market could be a real racket. So I was unpleasantly surprised when I looked for a new dentist on the peninsula and discovered how many dentists are barely distinguishable from car salesmen: completely driven by their own profit motive and willing to deceive consumers just to make more money.
I went to this one guy in Foster City, and at the end of my first meeting, he hands me this itemized list of nearly $ 10,000 worth of procedures he said I needed to get done. Then I went to the place in the Hillsdale Mall, and the guy there also gave me this long list of alleged problems that needed expensive fixes, and he also threw in some scary talk about teeth possibly falling out, etc.
I doubted what these dentists were saying, because not too long before I’d seen my dentist in San Francisco, who had not prescribed all this expensive work. So I asked my co-​workers for a referral, and they recommended Dr. Nagare.
When I went to see Dr. Nagare, he told me everything looked fine and that the thousands of dollars of work the other two dentists had recommended was unnecessary. When I asked them why he thought they had prescribed all these procedures, he kind of smiled, shook his head slightly, and said that some people out there just feel the need to do this sort of thing.
I’ve been going to him ever since – for about five years now. The staff in his office are professional and friendly, and the work they have done has been great. It’s great to know that I’m going to an honest dentist, not one who’s out to gouge his patients.

I forget who referred me to Dr. Nagare, but at my first appointment (14 years ago) he was terrific. He saw me last minute for an infection, gave me a prescription and didn’t even charge me! He’s been my dentist ever since. I recently had an ulcer develop that wasn’t healing and instead of going to my MD (wait 2 weeks) his office got me in that week. He gave me his opinion and suggestions and did not charge me for this 15-​minute consultation! This kind of professionalism is rarely seen. Most practitioners act like businesses and charge for their consultation time. They forget how much $$ we patients contribute toward their practice. Nagare is compassionate and professional. No doubt he has a successful practice, because, aside from being a competent dentist, he doesn’t exploit his patients! I highly recommend him: you can trust him!

Yes, I love this Dentist, so gentle and easy to work with him.
The staff is wonderful too, especially since my husband is out of work and they will take payments from you.
Very understanding people there and care about you as a person not just a customer with a number on their file.

I’ve come here for: annual cleaning and root planing. Both processes have taken under 40 minutes and cheaper than my previous dentist.
