Dr Sue Lin is very nice — I felt her Accupuncture treatment was effective but she made me bleed with the needles toward the end so not sure if I would recommend.

Dr. Lin is amazing! She helped me with a bulging disc back in 2010 and totally made me pain free and it lasted until now(2015) and I am seeing her again and can already start to feel the difference. She is so patient, caring and knows what she is doing! I highly recommend her.

ACM cured my herniated disc. Period. The treatments started with acupuncture, then heat and motion and then deep realignment, followed by some light athletics and stretching. The treatments took about a month, but the results were fantastic.

Dr. Sue Lin is Fantastic. I hope she is not thinking about retiring anytime soon. I am glad that my friend recommended this place.

My finger has been swollen for a couple months and finally i went to see Dr. Ian Lin for a treatment and by the next day my finger’s swelling had gone down dramatically. In addition the feeling or well being after acupuncture lasted the whole day. After 20 minutes of treatment it felt as if i had been away at a resort for a week. I will need a couple more treatments for the swelling to go down completely, but I am looking forward to them. I had been for treatments for back and hip and knee pain before and I am sorry i waited so long to go in for the inflammation of my finger.

Dr. Ian Lin is amazing. The clinic itself is clean, direct, and to the point. It’s clear that the people going there have been doing it a long time — lots of loyal patients. Dr. Ian Lin(there are two Dr. Lin’s in San Mateo) listened to me, told me what was going on while he did it, gave me a great welcome packet, and I felt like I was immediately«connected.» I’ve gone back four times as part of my ongoing treatments and it’s always efficient, clean, and headed by very courteous staff. If you’re looking for a great acupuncturist with reasonable(and for San Mateo, they are extremely reasonable) rates, try ACM. I highly recommend them!

This place is fantastic. It’s part of several offices around the Bay Area owned by an extended Chinese family of doctors, with the older generation educated in China and their sons(and daughter-in-law) educated in the west. One of the younger doctors is a chiropractor while the one who treats me, Dr. Ian, is an MD, educated at Tufts. Ian is fairly young, in his 30s, but when you are raised in a family of acupuncturists it becomes as instinctual as breathing. He needs all of two minutes to diagnose me at most. Every now and then I’ll notice he looks me up and down with his eyes slightly defocused, making me wonder just what the heck he’s seeing. I initially went for a bad shoulder injury, which cleared up after two treatments. I’ve had other problems treated and they are all clearing up with great rapidity. I don’t know the other doctors in this practice but as long as I live here I will seek treatment from Ian. There are only two down sides: one, the walls between the rather small treatment rooms are thin and sliding, so you can hear the person next to you rather clearly. Second, they don’t take credit cards. Check or cash only. How 20th century. :)
