For being a hotel restaurant its really good and I enjoyed eating here while staying at the hotel. The selection of craft beers on tap is good, but limited. The restaurant was clean and for the most part empty on a weeknight. Not sure I’d go out of my way to come back unless I was staying here again.

Guests at this Holiday Inn don’t have many options for food, especially if they don’t have a vehicle. The holiday inn/330 Bistro have really gone above and beyond to provide a decent dining experience. The first night I ordered a burger. It was great. The staff weren’t super friendly, but I was also having an «off» night so it may have been more me than them. Either way, it wasn’t bad. The second night I had fish and chips. Although not the best I’ve had, it was far from the worst. It tasted good and was fully cooked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Note: They have happy hour appetizers, but it doesn’t apply to all appetizers, so pay attention when ordering if you’re concerned about that.

since we had a u-haul attached to our vehicle, we needed a place that we could walk to from our hotel, so we went to 330 bistro. it was okay. my grilled chicken sandwich was actually quite scrumptious, except it was only lukewarm. it had been hot at one time, cause the cheese was totally melted. it was a good size of meaty chicken, with great bacon. hubby had the classic club wrap. it was good, as well. lots of meat and cheese. fries were terrible. tasteless. victor, our server was great. he refilled my soda 4 times, without hesitation and without my asking. love that! a good place to eat. just not with super high expectations. :)

I will keep it short and to the point from n fish fried that came out under cooked burnt fries and steak way over cooked with mashed potatoes that taste like they came from a box. Positive note service was good.

Bought the prepaid breakfast with my Holiday Inn reservation. Great value saving about $ 3.50 per person for the basic breakfast set. Food was great, well prepared, and well presented. However, service was less than satisfactory. Not sure whether server was put off with prepaid breakfast coupon but basics like water, ketchup, or other condiments were not offered. Sat and watched the table beside us stay empty because no one bussed it. In fact, customers were ordered to sit somewhere else.

We had breakfast here earlier today and it left a good impression. If staying at the hotel, this place is very convenient. We had the garden omelet, breakfast burrito, pancakes and a single poached egg. Food was freshly made(especially the potatoes), not greasy, and came out promptly. Service was ok(one server was on it, the other was totally out of it). If I found myself in the hotel again and was hungry, if go back!

Well the only positive thing I can say is I didn’t leave 330 Bistro hungry. I’m not even sure where to begin… Ordered the calamari and it didnt even come with the aioli sauce described on the menu. The calamari was awful! Breaded badly and super super chewy. The shrimp alfredo pasta was disgusting. I literally ate two bites and couldn’t handle the rest. Absolutely NOT worth the $ 17 plate Ordered the nachos and it hardly came with cheese it was so pathetic looking. The quesadilla was just ok… on the greasy side but still edible. Lastly, we ordered the spanich artichoke dip(we were actually looking forward to this one appetizer) and after the rest of our food came out and 20 minutes later our server comes up to us and says«oh…I forgot to let you know we are out of the dip» WTF On top of allllll this we get our bill and she forgot to give us ‘Happy Hour’ prices Never Never coming back here!

I am here right now having a later dinner. Ordered the fish and chips special. Got my salad 3 bites in there is something odd in my mouth, the damn salad had a corner of a cardboard box in it. I asked to speak to a manager none were available even though there are only 2 others and myself in the whole place. Got asked if I want another salad… No thanks I’ll pass. Then they offered me an extra piece of frozen fish. No thanks again. I’m going to check my entrée for anything else odd and leave. I will not be returning. I didn’t expect a gourmet meal, but didn’t expect to eat cardboard and then have no one do anything about it. Part 2 the saga continues. I got the«fresh cod fish and chips special» it was neither fresh nor special. The fish went from The freezer to the fryer so I get burnt greasy breeding and cold watery fish. The chips were burned to a crisp but I was hungry and it was the only thing edible. So all in all I has a 16 $ plate of burnt fries. The positive the waitress was friendly and when she seen the mess she took 30% off the meal because. «Only a manager who was apparently non existent“‘could comp a meal and after working for 10 hours I am to tired to fight over 14 dollars. All I can say is do yourself a favor and don’t eat here, even in dire straights order dominoes… Ugh.

The server tried, that’s the best I can say for the place. Dim blue-tone light gives the dining room an ambiance that’s the opposite from warm and comfortable. Ordered Fish & Chips — they were out of F&C Calamari — served with cocktail sauce, not the aioli described in the menu, and with no lemon wedges. Had to flag down the server(no small task, as they appear to be short staffed though the manager was always standing around«supervising» while not doing anything to help, so I guess it’s going just fine in his view) and ask for them. Out of aioli and had to go cut up some lemon wedges. Literally had to go find a lemon and cut it up. In most places that’s prep work, not something done per diner request. Calamari itself was heavily breaded around tiny rings of squid(I think). Caesar Salad — served with almost no dressing and no croutons. Again had to flag down server and ask for dressing on the side and croutons. Out of croutons. The«creamy» Caesar dressing had a distinct mayo taste to it, while being quite bland otherwise. Are they stretching out the dressing by putting little on the salads and mixing it with mayo? Yeah, I’d take that bet! Used the excessive calamari breading(was weirdly similar to KFC extra crispy) in place of missing croutons on the salad.

I’ve been to many hotel bars. Usually one expects poor service, weak drinks, and mediocre bland food. Not the case at Bistro 330. The restaurant and bar is located just off the lobby at the Holiday Inn San Mateo, and is a nice little place with a wide selection of drinks, food, and decent service. I frequently drop in for happy hour, where they have some great deals on well drinks and wines. Their soup seems to change daily, my favorite being the New England Clam Chowder. The service is what really separates this hotel bar\restaurant from others. Their staff is great. Most times I’ve been in, Dianna has been my server, and she’s outstanding. People really seem to love her. She’s attentive and very personable. I highly recommend Bistro 330 whenever you’re in San Mateo, be it for a burger or drink at happy hour!
