We get a rather obscure soy-​free and grain-​free chicken feed from Modesto Mills. Turns out this place can order it custom, no problem.
So far, it’s been great to be able to get heavy feed bags locally rather than ordering online and paying huge UPS shipping fees.

Silva Ranches is a great feedstore for your livestock and pets. They have a good selection of hay and grains. We have old horses at home, so I am frequently there stocking up on All-​in-​One. Their prices are very reasonable, and they give discounts for buying in bulk. They are easy to reach off of 101 on the west side between the San Martin and Masten Ave. exits. The location is pretty far from San Jose, but I make a point of stopping off whenever I find myself in the area, because their prices are so reasonable, and the folks there are so friendly.
