Good food at a good price. Potatoes are bigger than Elvis’ heart. The variety is vast. I had a stemmed veggie. It was great! There’s enough leftover to make soup tomorrow! The staff is friendly. Seating is extremely limited.

Excellent food. Terrible phone service. I have been eating from here for years and they can’t seem to figure out how to hire people to answer the phone. There has been times where they put me «On hold» and I can hear the ladies talk about plans on going out drinking, or flirting with a customer, even talking about how they hate the manager. Today I called 3 times and they picked up the phone then hung up with out saying a word.

It was a little hard to find gps has me go down pat it. But once we turned around it was worth the round about. Well priced and well sized potatoes. A small establishment but fast service.

Awesome food we tried a bit of everything, definitely recommend anything with chili! The chili cheese burger and frito pie spud were soooo delicious!(Plus no beans in the chili for those who don’t eat beans) also even the grilled chicken in the salad was so flavorful and yummy!

Their spuds are huge and the service is genuine unlike the usual fake service you normally experience. I would recommend the fried pickles with ranch and either the Spicy Chicken Fried Chicken Spud or the Frito Pie spud!

I use to love this place but after the delivery I got from them I will never eat there again. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich and the Fritos spud. There was literally a long hair on the spud and the chicken sandwich was like biting rubber. At first I thought it was just me but I let my boyfriend try it and he spit it out. I’m really disappointed cause I really did love this place.

Yummy potato! Not impressed with the sandwiches. But ya know it’s call Spud Ranch not Sandwich Ranch so I suppose I should’ve ordered a Spud.

This place has great food! I’ve tried 6 – 7 different kinds of potatoes here, and they’re all pretty excellent. My top favorites are the chicken fried chicken spud and the macaroni and cheese spud. Every time I get either, they’re huge enough that I get two meals out of it. Also, their sweet tea is pretty good, too. I ordered from their delivery service for the first time last night, and it came quicker than the 45 minutes I was told it would take, which was nice. My food was hot and fresh, and the delivery driver was super sweet! The woman who took my order over the phone was also very nice. The restaurant is a little small, and it doesn’t have much seating, but the workers there are always friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Okay. I found this place by just randomly scrolling through the area. Completely different kind of fast food. Great take on dressing up a huge potato. Had the chili cheese burger spud and my lady had the frito pie spud. Not disappointed. Can’t wait to swing by here again. Not much sitting room, can only sit 12 to 16 people. They do take out and delivery.

Tried this location and was blown away on how great it was. The spuds are bomb and the chicken fried chicken spuds was amazing. The fried pickles were also very great just wanted a little more spicy lol. We will most definitely be ordering again in the future

Was visiting Austin, went tubing in San Marcos, was incredibly hungry after tubing so stopped by Spud Ranch. Very tiny place. Menu consisted of different types of baked potatoes from chicken fried steak baked potato to vegetable baked potato. I had a hard time choosing one because they all sounded so good and flavorful. I ended up getting chicken enchilada baked potato and my boyfriend got a philly baked potato. Both very good! Loved it. They also have burgers and sandwiches incase a baked potato isn’t enough for you.

At first I was a little discouraged by the longer than normal wait time but now I cannot complain. The fried pickles are some of the best I have ever had. The chicken fajita spud was fresh made and all of the ingredients came together just right. Great food for the price and they deliver

The most unhealthiest place I’ve ever been in but if you’re not on a diet, want delicious and cheap food then this is the place! This is a small hole in the wall eatery that usually has 80s music playing and have cool things hanging on the walls and a lot of bobs burger influence, it’s a chill ambiance. Now to the food, the most expensive thing their would be around $ 9 – 10 most of the potatoes are around $ 7 – 8 and they are all MASSIVE portions, creative and really tasty. You can get Mexican, Texmex, Italian, American and even Asian within a potato. I’ve tried most of them and my all time favorite is the hot wing spud, extra hot sauce and bleu cheese, it’s one of the best plates I’ve ever had!

Another Unilocal Win! I would never have found this small place tucked in to a strip mall. Worth every bit of effort to find. Friendly staff delicious meal and reasonable prices. I will figure out a way to come back when traveling to San Antonio.

Tried to order for delivery for hungry co workers but I was put«on hold» for 15 minutes. The lovely cashier just put the phone down so I could hear everything, and when I tried to call back to still order I got a busy signal for another 10 minutes. Really.

We called in and picked up the food. I got steak and my friend got bbq. It’s good! But I could’ve used a little bit more butter and flavor. I would go back again. The potatoes are huge though! It seems that there’s a lot going on but once you start eating there’s just a lot more of potato and not enough of the meat and other things. The steaks weren’t very flavorful. But generous portion overall. You get what you pay for.

I thought I had great baked potatoes before, but these are hands down the best baked potatoes you will ever eat. Great food at great prices. Great service as well. I find nothing wrong with Spud Ranch and would gladly eat here several times a week. If there’s one restaurant in San Marcos that I would recommend to a visitor, it would be Spud Ranch.

I really like this little restaurant! I eat here nearly everytime I am in San Marcos. The potatoes are LARGE, FILLED with TOPPINGS and VERYDELICIOUS! Today, I wasn’t sure which to choose from, but I decided on the Brisket Spud. This one has butter(I always get extra), BBQ Brisket, grilled onions and Cheese. Not only was it very delicious looking, it tasted amazing! The people that work here are very friendly and helpful. They smile, still say thanks, and seem to really care if you are having a good meal. GREATPLACE to eat!
