History
Established in 1983.
Dr. Gregory Hurt, San Marcos Dental Center’s resident Dentist, is a graduate of both Georgetown University, where he got his Dental degree, and UCLA where he attained his B.S. in Biology. The San Marcos Dental Center is located in North County San Diego.
Dr. Hurt began practicing Dentistry in North County of San Diego in the fall of 1983 and has been at his established practice in San Marcos ever since. He has extensive experience in most phases of dentistry including but not limited to cosmetics, implants, surgery, and periodontal surgery (including lasers), root canal therapy, crown and bridge work, pedodontics, and geriatric dentistry involving complete and partial dentures. He is a member of the San Diego County Dental Society as well as the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
He diagnoses and treats patients who have Sleep Apnea or snoring problems incorporating both his dental experience and his training at UCLA.

Dr. Hurt was born in Spencer, Iowa and lives on a few acres in the hills of San Marcos with his dogs, cats, miniature horse, and large garden. He used to do triathlons but now loves ocean swimming, spin classes, and working out.
He has three sons, one who just graduated from USC with a degree in Civil Engineering, one attending Northern Arizona University, and his youngest son who is planning to study Architecture next year at Arizona State University. Dr. Hurt also regularly attends Continuing Education classes at USC.
