Pet Cuts

Pet Cuts has been my favorite Pet groomers for 15 years and two dogs. Lisa does an excellent job on grooming and the prices are good. I love that they are cage free and Zoey gets to have social time with the other just groomed similar sized dogs! She looks forward to going there and always greets them with tail wags… when she’s happy, I know she loves it! I highly recommend Pet Cuts… and have in many occasions… just recently to my brother who just moved to this area… They love her too!

In my opinion, I think it’s great that the owner is available and works in the establishment as well. Lisa was quick to give a quote via phone. On the day of service, the drop off was quick. Walking in, you would see that the dogs are put together in decent sized rooms so they end up hanging out with other dogs while waiting for their turn. I was provided an estimate pick-​up time and at exactly such time, I got a phone call that my babies are ready.
I was charged exactly the quote I was given and my boys looked good! Thanks Lisa. Definitely coming back!

Lisa is awesome! My love comes back smelling and looking so good. Her smell good scent lasts a long time. Bella loves showing off her cute cut. I love that this place is crate-​free and my dog gets to interact with all the others. Less expensive than Petco.

Still a 5 star review for Pet Cuts. John is no longer there, but Lisa is making the business better than ever. I love that my fur baby isn’t stuck in a crate before & after his bath. He gets the freedom to move around and hangout with the other pups.

I met Lisa when she first started as a young woman at Lake San Marcos. When I took my 3 fur kids there they always looked great. I moved and took them to other places but the past 2 years have been unhappy no matter where I took them. They always looked chopped and NEVER smelled clean. I called Lisa and I could get my 3 fur kids in the next day. They were there not even 3 hours. Other places I had to have them there at 8:00 AM and I wasn’t able to pick them up till 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM. Too long of a day cooped up in a cage. Lisa has large dog runs and my babies are now finally happy, smell clean and look great. Thanks Lisa, I’m happy to be back. After many years of not seeing me she remembered me when I walked in, that’s GREAT PR.

I love this place. I’ve been bringing my lil guy Rocky for the last 12 years. They always know how name and treat him do wonderfully. Very reasonable and its cage free! They are in an open space.

I’m giving this place 1 star if I could I wouldn’t even give them a star I’m so piss off at this place, i just picked up my dog from this place and I saw his poor face scratch and bleeding, I usually give my dog a self groom at petco but this time I took him to this place so he would be extra clean 1. They give me a price on the phone and when I picked him up they told me it was going to be $ 20 more «why because I have to pay for the scratch on my dogs face» 2. When I got my dog his face was bleeding and had a cut in his face I though I was taken him to a professional place but this place is a joke omg I can’t believe they would let my dog get injured I’m never bringing my dog here

I have a small mixed breed that was getting very thick hair all over except her head. Lisa made her look beautiful!!! She had never been groomed before but loved the experience and I will take her back for sure.

After reading some other reviews on Unilocal and finding out the price for de-​shedding, I decided to take my shiba inu in for a desperate grooming. I got a same day appointment and they did a great job. When I took my dog in, she was shedding handfuls of hair everywhere. Now I can actually pet her again without immediately being covered in hair. Very impressed with the services and definitely will be coming back again. Thank you!

Hands down best pet grooming shop in town! Lisa has a lot of experience and is so great with the animals! You won’t be disappointed.

They are absolutely the best. Nothing at all could make my dogs love the grooming process, but Lisa is so fast and they don’t put the dogs in little crates. They are extremely diligent about trying to get the undercoat of my female Akita off so it doesn’t all land on my carpet. My girl did not like to be dropped off at PetCo for grooming. Lisa has my dogs bathed and brushed with their nails clipped in a third of the time that PetCo used to, which is much appreciated since my house is not the same without my dogs here. They are as good as it gets for grooming. Love them and they are definitely a bright spot here in San Marcos.

Love this place! I’ve been going to PetCo for my pups nail trimmings and baths, But when I almost took him there to get groomed (this was my first time grooming the pup) something just didn’t feel right and my dog was shaking uncontrollably, like he was petrified. Anyways, they quoted me 55 $, and not to be mean, the lady just didn’t seem put together at all and almost seemed annoyed to be working. SO, I walked out and made a phone call to pet groomers in the area and came across Lisa’s place.
She answered the phone right away, was super nice and helpful, and quoted me 46 $ and said I could come in right away! Which was awesome :)
Took my dog in (he’s a long haired dachshund) and he fit right in with all the other dogs and was in a open area waiting for me. Not in a teeny tiny cage in the back (how PetCo ‘stores’ your dog) My pup looked super cute and fierce after his haircut and
was done in 2 hours. PetCo takes like 4 hours. Lisa has my business now :) Thank you!

I’ve been bringing my dog to Pet Cuts for many years and have been happy every single time. I moved to Northern CA for awhile, tried other groomers and was never pleased with the work or the service I, or my dog, received. I recently moved back to So Cal and although I’m 1 hour from Pet Cuts, I will continue bringing my pet to them for his hair cuts. In fact, I’ve already brought my fur baby in for a bath and haircut. They’re 100% worth it! Keep up the personalized service and amazing work!

I took my Yorkie to get groomed for my wedding in 2011 and she looked adorable. The downside to that visit was they cut her nails too short. I figured I’d give it another try since it’d been years, so I took her and she looked like a 5 year old had given her a haircut. It was choppy and very uneven. Her legs weren’t shaped right either. 46 $ plus tip. I didn’t see the whole haircut until we got home. I called and let her know I was unhappy and she offered to shave her down today, but it just isn’t worth the hassle. I could shave her down myself! Wishing she’d cut her like she did the first time. Not sure what happened. Won’t be going back.

Lisa is amazing and super supportive towards my little Lily girl who has a hard time socializing with other dogs! Boarding service is excellent alongside the grooming here!

My goodness! We had a grooming emergency today and we were thrilled when they called us with a sudden opening this morning. My pup Radke looks absolutely AMAZING. Highly recommend Pet Cuts!
Here is the back story. We got our dog at 4 months old & he had no vaccinations. So of course we vaccinated him. By the time he was fully vaccinated he was 6 months old and had never ever been to a groomer. I gave him baths and brushed him daily but him being a Pomeranian Shih Tzu mix, means crazy unmanageable hair. We recently moved and during the moving process, my pups brushing went from everyday to once a week. His hair was extremely matted, like worse than I had ever seen in my life. My poor boy couldn’t see out of his eyes & he was just an incredible hot mess. I called in bright and early this morning and was told they had no availability, but she took down my number and said she called if anything opened up for today. So glad that someone canceled! My boy has never looked better. It was a long long process getting him cleaned up (considering the circumstances and then a long move) but wow, it was worth the wait! He’s never been happier and we are so happy to see him free of the mop. Can’t wait to bring him back for another fabulous haircut in the future. This is the start of a forever stud pup! Thank you Pet Cuts!!! You guys are amazingly talented. I wish I had a before picture. There are just no words to describe the transformation.

I absolutely love taking Sadie to Pet Cuts. I have been taking her there for over 5 years and have never been disappointed with the care and the grooming that she gets.

We have been taking our dogs to Pet Cuts for years. The staff always does a great job, whether it is a simple bath and nail trim or a full on shave for a very fuzzy dog in the summer. Plus it is obvious they really care about my pooches. I have never had any issues with the grooming quality. My dogs come out looking great every time.
The dogs are kept in pens of various sizes. All are large enough to be comfortable. There is even one area that could easily hold 6 or 7 medium sized dogs with plenty of room to play. I appreciate that the owners don’t put the animals in small cages.
As others have said, Pet Cuts is cash only. While this is a bit of an inconvenience I understand that a small business needs to keep costs in check and swipe fees can easily impact a bottom line. This is a great local business that I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone.
