Pacifiq Nail Salon

I decided to try this place mainly for a change of scenery. Based off of the awesome Unilocal reviews, of course!
Let’s just say I was highly disappointed in the «customer service» I received upon walking in… maybe the receptionist was upset because I seemed to ruin her moment by walking in on the middle of someone presenting her with a cake? Or maybe it was something else? But she did not even smile at me, nor make eye contact, when I asked her if they had time for a pedicure. Which is polar opposite from what the other Unilocalers claim to receive here.
She said «no, sorry!» And I literally almost laughed until I realized she was being serious. And I repeated «no?» She stated «no — all of our girls are booked today.» Really, that’s odd because I only see one person getting a pedicure and one person that just sat down for a manicure. So, I guess I can understand that «ALL 2» of her girls were busy at the time but this salon was clearly not booked by the lack of presence of employees and patrons. What a joke.
Sucks for this place since I always go for the premium pedicure and manicure. Or whatever «the works» is called at this location. I am also an above average tipper since I’ve spent many years in the service industry myself.
I will not go back, a smile and an attempt to book me an appointment could have easily prevented having an upset customer with a poor rating. Too many other options with better customer service and smiles! I’ve had better experiences with nail salons that have 3 stars.

Zoe did a great job on my Deluxe Combo mani-​pedi. I was very comfortable with her friendly manner and felt completely spoiled when I left. The salon is lovely and was calm and quiet the day I was there. Although I live in Escondido and have many nearby options for nail services, I will likely return to Pacifiq Nail Salon on a regular basis.

I have been to this salon at least a half dozen times and until today have seen Lili for gel manicures and pedicures. I am often working out of the area and will have my manicures by the same person I love in Orange County. Which is why I do not consistently come here, however after today I will not EVER be coming back to Pacifiq. When I went in today I found out Lilli is no longer there, but I did have Angel who did a good job. However when I Checked in Carla (the owner) asked if I had gels on (which I did). She did not mention that I would be charged additional to have the gels removed until I was checking out. The $ 5 up charge was justified by her that I was being charged $ 35 for the manicure and $ 5 additional to remove my gel polish because I had the polish done elsewhere. That gel from other places was hard to get off, time consuming and I wouldn’t be charged that if I had had them done there consistently. REALLY!!! $ 40 for a gel manicure is pushing it for me… And I felt like I was being scolded and at the time I was so caught off guard that I didn’t say anything. Now I am upset and if the tactic was to charge me more so that I am «more loyal», it has in fact done the opposite. Carla, I think you should re think this business practice. $ 5 may not seem that much, but you have lost a customer to this silly charge that NO ONE else I have ever seen nor any of my friends have ever heard of; poor business practice and polish removal should be part of a nail salons expectations!

The reviews don’t lie. I went here solely based on the awesome reviews. The first time I tried to book an appointment they were completely full but on Sunday I booked an appointment online for 2:00pm and it was complete empty. (Guessing that’s a good time to come) lol. I was a little surprised when I walked in because none of the girls we’re Vietnamese. They looked pretty young as well! I have experienced salons where the nail techs talked bad about customers in Vietnamese and didn’t know that my mom is Vietnamese and could understand every word they were saying. So it was a relief to not have that problem here. Jocelyn did my nails. (She only works Saturday’s and Sunday’s) very clean and cute nail salon, this is now my go to spot!

Wow! Super quiet and relaxing! The cleanest salon I have ever seen!!! Easy scheduling your appointment online. You select the times offered, and your technician, like shopping for what you want done. All you have to do is show up!
Went on a Tuesday, one other person there, arrived early, so they were able to get me done early.
High quality nail polishes, Morgan Taylor, Zoya, OPI, Coccio.
Quite reasonable, arm and feet/​leg massages only.
I will definitely be coming here more often!

Everything that this salon is doing is right! You will first notice that this salon is typically quiet as most people book their appointments online (which I recommend doing). The technicians are very skilled and pay great attention to detail and do not rush. Prices here are every so slightly higher than neighboring salons but you are getting what you pay for and always get clean fresh tools that have been properly sterilized between clients. The floors are clean, no nail clippings or acrylic dust on the ground here. Even the pedicure tubs are sterilized for at least 15 minutes between clients which is required by law by the state, yet most salons don’t do it. Clean salon, great service, and hard work are all preset here.

I came here to get my nails done for my wedding, I gave the girl who was helping me (Dina) a picture of what I wanted and she matched it to a T. I loved this place, they all made me feel comfortable and relaxed which is exactly what I needed before my wedding thank you girls.

I think I found my new favorite nail salon! Booked an appointment online which is more convenient for me, but they also take calls and walk ins. Arriving to my appointment on Saturday Karla welcomed my mom and I. Dina and Dulce were amazing! They both handled our Mani/​Pedi combo. I’ve never felt so relaxed at nail salon before. They were genuinely nice and converse with us. That’s something you don’t get else where. The place was kept clean and Karla (the owner) was working just as hard as the manicurist. We left the place relaxed and satisfied with the work. Prices are a little high, but well worth the service that comes along with. I definitely will be coming back when in need of these services.

I visited the salon for the first time and was pleased with everything! Very nice and friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere and very, very clean! There is no smell of chemistry! Although the prices are high but the result is worth it! Definitely I will visit this place.

Very nice, quiet and clean place! Not your typical «drop in» mani/​pedi place! Recommend an appointment for sure, which their website makes very easy. Had a wonderful deluxe pedi by Dina. Def will be back!

Lily is so sweet and does a great job. I went back to have her do a pedicure. My toes look great and the polish lasts a long time.
I have just learned that Lily is no longer there. Boo hoo.

I am extremely happy that I came to Pacifiq for a gel mani and spa pedi. I am in LOVE with my nails! I am a simple girl and I didn’t really know what I wanted but ZOE helped me and recommended some cute additions to my gel manicure (see pictures).
The place is spotless! The staff is friendly! The place is relaxing. I felt extremely comfortable.
I will say the prices are a little higher than a random walk-​in shop but you get what you pay for! It is totally worth it. I recommend you plan ahead and book your appointment in advance. The staff will not rush to get rid of you and move on to the next person. They focus on you and your service.
They have the best spa chairs and they clean them right away. It was nice to see them care for their equipment and make sure the chair is ready for the next customer.
Zoe paid extreme attention to detail and recommended oil for my cuticles. I am looking forward to my next appointment with Zoe :)

Holy attention to detail batman! I came here after my sister who just moved here found and recommended this shop and specifically Dina. My go-​to gal is still amazing but hard to get in with sometimes so I thought I’d give this a whirl. I love love LOVE that you can book online because it’s so much easier for me; only thing is I didn’t realize that there’s an option for «nail art» that I was told to add next time if I book online again which adds an extra 15 minutes to the appointment so Miss Dina isn’t rushed/​cramped for time. I had no idea and she diligently worked her magic (she’s such an artist) and didn’t mention anything about perhaps being short of time. I definitely wouldn’t have held it against her if she’d told me she didn’t have time! On another side note they do charge $ 5 to remove prior gel… only if it was another shop’s though, not theirs.
They have SO MANY color choices it will make your head spin! I tend to only have a faint idea of what I *might* want when I get my nails done so it took me awhile to decide on some colors, so be prepared for the endless options that will await you. They have cool nail stations with two nail lamps built in on shelf which I thought was pretty cool and easy to just slide each hand or out as needed, no cords, no moving things around.
All of the ladies seemed really nice so if for some reason I can’t get in with Dina I’d feel comfortable seeing anyone else. I’ll have to get a pedi at some stage too and try out the chairs!

I love the idea of being able to book an appointment online, but they don’t list ALL their services for you to pick & choose what you’re coming in for. They ended up calling me after I booked online AND emailed them clarification for the services I specifically wanted.
I spent $ 40 on a new set of almond-​shaped acrylics & $ 23 on a basic pedicure. Both services were with Zoe. She is SUCH a lovely lady, but…
I just wish my uneven nails had stayed on longer. In less than a week, I had one broken nail & two lifted nails that my hair started to get caught in. In less than 10 days, I had two more broken nails. No, I do NOT use my nails as tools — they broke doing everyday stuff like prepping food & moving items in the fridge. The pedicure was also the fastest & least relaxing pedicure of my life. My point is that I’ve spent less elsewhere for nails that lasted longer & looked better, as well as for a better pedicure.
I can appreciate their commitment to cleanliness & don’t mind paying a little extra to not have them use used tools on me, BUT for their prices… I would expect my nails to stay on longer & to be able to enjoy a somewhat relaxing pedicure.

Dina was Amazing. She is a true artist when it comes to nails. She has tons of experience and is very pleasant to talk to. My 9 year old went to Lilly. She and my daughter connected and we both had the best girls day ever at the nail salon. The owner helped pick out nail Polish for her and the color was perfect. If you want to book an appointment with Dina or Lilly call ahead because they are booked. It truly was such a fun experience and the girls really made it that way. Thank You Dina and Lilly. We will be back!!!

Super clean shop with professional staff. I work long hours so having a gel mani in this zen-​like establishment was just what I needed to de-​stress. Dina did a fabulous job. They fit me in as a walk in. However, they are busy so I recommend an appt. I will definitely be back and make regular appointments. I’ll get the spa combo next time. Also, I met Zoe and Lily. They were super welcoming. I highly recommend this nail salon and I have been to many but this is among the best.

Lily was very sweet and nice. It was my first time there and I would definitely come back. It is Tuesday and it was the mid after noon and it was slow I was the only one there. Probably the best time to come is during the week and beat the rush. They use Cuccio nail polish for gel in case anyone is wondering. It was very clean and sterile. They were actually all cleaning the salon during the down time so that was good to see that effort while there. The price was a bit higher than expected but I usually don’t get my nails done and I know they will last for more than 2 weeks. It was a gel manicure but my nails were screwed up before I walked in and now they look amazing. She took her time with me and I’m very grateful for Lily’s expertise and patience with me. Thank you!

Having moved to the Carlsbad area a few months ago, I’ve been on the hunt for a new manicurist. I’d been to one or two thus far, not completely satisfied… until today! Dina did the best job! She was sweet and really knows her stuff! She listened to what I said and it shows! I’m going back for my toes and bringing my sister in for a mani/​pedi too! Thanks Dina for the fabulous experience and making me feel at home! Can’t wait for Saturday!

This place is so cute! It’s a tiny spot with huge deals and great staff!
I called before and had an appointment for a pedicure booked quickly and easily! All the ladies employed were very bubbly and energetic. It’s obvious the staff enjoy each other which made the atmosphere a real joy. My pedicure was done by ZOE. She was friendly and gave me a Nice and relaxing pedicure that turned out wonderful and was only $ 33! I also got to see them cleaning some of the other stations when people left and was pleased to see them really scrubbing and caring about the cleanliness of the salon.
I have been recommending Pacifiq to everyone; It’s safe to say I will definitely be back for more!

I’ve found my new favorite nail salon! The staff was courteous, professional, and very personable. The salon itself is very clean. I stumbled upon this place when I came to grocery shop and they were able to start my service right away. Zoe’s attention to details when it came to shaping my nails was second to none.
I will definitely be back, and recommend this place to all my friends!
