Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Michael Newman has worked in marketing for 20+ years. Newman worked on Tascam’s audio-​for-​picture products which won an Emmy for «Outstanding Achievement in Engineering Development» and an Emmy. In 2002 Newman joined Mackie and soon thereafter become global director of product management in a restructuring move by the company. Mackie then released ground breaking products that were also affordable for musicians.

In 2009 Newman started a consulting company called Michael Newman Consulting. The business is focused on internet and social media marketing education for any size business. His presentation on website usability studies at the 2012 Winter NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants) was considered one of the presentation highlights of the show.

Newman has a skill set that combines many years of marketing and business development with the technical disciplines associated with product development and project management. He lives and works in San Diego.
