I visited many flooring showrooms before choosing to work with Rebecca, the owner of Direct Carpet. Her helpfulness and enthusiasm stood out from what I’d seen elsewhere and the selection and prices were competitive. The carpet installation was quick and efficient and the installers left the floors nice and clean. Rebecca even offered to bind the remnant to fit an odd-​shaped area at no charge. For a positive customer experience I suggest a vist to this store. And I’m happy with the quality of the carpet I chose.

Not sure why but we have had nothing but terrible service from this business and are now looking elsewhere for our flooring needs. We went to Direct Carpet in San Marcos over a month ago. We were met at the door by Angie who quickly tried to sell me on an area rug instead of carpeting since we have Travertine floors that I want ripped out. She then left us to browse through everything without much help and went on to the next customer. They were busy so I chalked it up to that.
We found several samples to take home and scheduled an appt with her to get measurements done the following week. We wanted to get carpeting in before our baby started crawling so the floor would be softer for her. I was home and no one ever showed up to do the measurements. I called the store and the response I got was «Oh we were busy last Saturday so it never got scheduled. I’ll come out next week». ok. so strike 2.
They did show up the next week and took measurements. They also said they’d see if their guys still took out Travertine and I’d probably need to take it all out at once. No problem, we’d just have to do the rest of the flooring.
So it’s been over 4 weeks and no call for estimate or anything. Strike three.
I guess unless you want to do an expensive project, or have a difficult floor to remove you just get treated differently. I am disappointed to say the least and our little one is now crawling around on hard floors crying whenever she falls. We will be going elsewhere for our flooring needs and I will tell other friends not to entrust this company with their business.

Honestly love this place. So much better than other flooring/​carpet places! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They make you feel comfortable and guide you along in selecting a product (s). Charlynn has been helping us through our selection process and I could not recommend her more! She’s seriously amazing! Would go back and do business with them again in the future. ¹⁰⁄₁₀!

I purchased my laminate flooring from Direct Carpet a few months ago. I immediately noticed that it sounded like walking on rice krispies. I called and talked to an employee and was told to give it time to settle down. I waited for a couple of months and it still sounded just as bad. I then contacted Rebecca, one of the owners of the store. She immediately was right on it! She had the flooring taken up and put down again and still it was noisy. She then made the decision that the flooring material itself was defective and provided another product by another company. Just as she thought, the new flooring was installed and we are completely happy. It’s rare to find a company that is so loyal to a customer they will go the extra mile to make sure you are completely satisfied. I would not buy another flooring product from anyone other than Direct Carpet. Thank you Rebecca and Tommy for your integrity and your desire to make sure your customers get what they want and keep coming back!!!

If I could give 10 stars I would. From the time Rebecca came to our house to the time our carpet was installed, I received nothing but efficient and professional service. The walk through and discussion about carpet was fun and informative. I also did many quotes and went with this company as it is a family run company, the employees all seem to enjoy working for their boss as well as great pricing and a great product. Installation was smooth and quick, great job Angel.
Hopefully I won’t need carpet anytime soon, but if any of my friends do, this is the only place I would send them.

What a pleasure this experience was. They came to my home and patiently went through the samples and even let me keep them for a little bit of time to insure my decision. The order came in within 10days and the install was perfect. They arrived on time and went right to work. Neat and clean and very efficient.

Even though I (technically the people I work for) didn’t actually purchase carpets from Dorect, I felt I needed to write a review. I work for an 86y/​o woman so taking her on errands is sometimes difficult. The moment we walked into Direct carpet we were greeted at the door by Rebecca who immediately offered a chair to my client in the middle of the showroom. Rebecca then brought over various carpet samples to us trying to get down to what we wanted. Her customer service was phenomenal! We were allowed to take two samples home to look at and had a little over a week to decoded what we wanted to do. Like u said, we didn’t purchase from them I can’t say enough nice things about this company! They have my recommendation and if I personally need carpet I’d be going to them!

I need to start this review with a bit of history. My wife and I bought a house and had new floors (carpet and laminate) installed in all rooms. This was done by a National Company that was offering a ½ off everything sale. Well, the carpet went in fine, the laminate was a bust. We had them replace it with tile (by this time we had moved into the house). Their first attempt was bad. They offered to do it again. They did and it was still BAD. We finally settled with them, got our money back, and went looking for a new company to install the tile for a THIRD time. This time, after having had our floors replaced three times in as many months, we were better educated on what to ask and look for.
After a few weeks of research, we picked our top four and got quotes. One told us that it would cost us $ 75 for the quote. We were down to three. Of those three (and one from Home Depot) we decided to go with Direct Carpet. They were not the cheapest but they were with a few hundred of the lowest one (and they were actually about 1K less that the National Company’s ½ price for the same work).
Rebecca, owner and the person that helped us, was great. We seemed to hit it off. After hearing our disaster story with the first company, she felt bad that we had had to go through an experience like that and took personal control of our project.
Prior to starting any work we got a complete breakdown of the job, something the first company never did give us. When it came time to do the work, she sent Steve, one of her top installer, to install our tile. He had a helper named Chris. Both Steve and Chris were extremely pleasant. Both spoke English which made communication much easier (the first company’s workers did not speak any so it was very hard to relay issue). They started with protection our belongings like they were their own. Plastic sheets were put up as a temporary walls to help prevent dust from getting to other rooms. They arrived on time, got to work, and let us know how things were going each step of the way. They finished on time (unlike the other company which was usually 2 – 4 days longer than they said.)
I would highly recommend «Direct Carpet» and will use them for any future floor work we need.
As a side note, if you are looking to get a new tile floor, here are some questions to ask:
1. Will I get a complete cost break-​down for the project?
2. Is leveling included? If so, are there extra costs involved?
3. Do the tile layers work for your company or are they hired contractors? If they are hired contractors, can I have the name of everyone that is scheduled to work on my floor?
4. What guarantees come with the floor?

I just had two bedrooms updated with carpet and baseboards. Beautiful carpet, ease in scheduling, excellent tradesmen. Honorable folk. I’d recommend this business over and over again.

UPDATE!
My floors are done and they are beautiful! The entire process from the sales floor, carpet removal, to installation took a week and a half! Which being 9 months pregnant is truly a blessing to not have to worry or stress about it all when the new little guy arrives.
Charlynn «CJ» really went out of her way to follow up and keep up the pace. She checked in and ensured that I was happy with the work being done.
It’s absolutely refreshing to meet someone who loves their job and clearly cares about their customers. I know that when we decide to change the floors upstairs we’ll be going back to Direct Carpet and I trust that we’ll have just as fantastic results!

Somewhat polite on the phone but didn’t seem like they wanted to help… So said they were super busy. Decided to go with someone else.

Finally starting to feel like home! Moving into a 2 story, 4 bedroom home is exhausting. Which includes an endless list of things to do which seems like an ancient dead sea scroll. The 1 thing we did not have to worry about is the customer service and brand new carpet we got from DCU. They are a family owned and operated business who treated my wife and I like family. We have been living on our new carpet for the past month now and we absolutely «LOVE» everything about our carpet. (Especially the price!!!) Starting with the awesome customer service we received from Angie, who helped us choose the perfect style, color, brand and quality of our carpet, to the installation from Joe and Jake, who did an amazing job with the install, my wife and I are now living comfortably in our home each and every day.
Special thanks to Tommy and Rebecca, who are the owners, as they were the ones to help us close the deal on our carpet purchase. Tommy & Rebecca are genuinely caring people who love what they do. So if your in the market for new carpet, take my advice and give them a call as they will treat you like family and help you check off carpet from your list as well.

As a new home owner, we had to look for carpet and flooring. My first phone call with the owner was positive and we set up a time to do measurements. Another person came out, and measured a few days later. That part of the process was quick, easy, and helpful.
But when it came time to pick flooring, it seemed like they didn’t care if they got my business or not. No phone calls to help, and most frustrating, they wouldn’t tell me my actual measurements of my house and rooms. Nor do they have specific prices on the products in store. It just felt much too sly and secretive.
Granted I was talking to other companies as well, and maybe that’s why this business held their cards so close to the best. But it was just off-​putting. When I’m getting ready to spend many thousands of dollars, be up front about cost. Please don’t make me guess. Clearly mist consumers will shop multiple stores and price is a key consideration. But I couldn’t even get that far in the process to compare.
I can’t speak to the quality of flooring or installation, but I am sure they are professional and do good work. They did tell me I had to paint my own baseboards because «we aren’t painters», which again was off-​putting.
I went with a different company for these reasons.

Super helpful throughout the whole process. We went in on a Saturday to look at samples, and no more than two weeks later our carpet was installed. We are extremely happy with the installation process and were confident everything would go according to plan. We highly recommend Direct Carpet Unlimited if you are looking to install carpet as they will work with you and ensure you get exactly what you want!

What a great experience!!! Dealing with Direct Carpet Unlimited was a breath of fresh air. This is definitely how a business should be run. They not only helped me choose the most beautiful rugs but they were so reasonably priced –I almost didn’t believe it! The quality is outstanding! They are professional and extremely efficient!

Direct Carpet’s 5 star reviews are the real deal and I’m about to add one more. I purchased wood flooring from them and had them install it as well. The job was significantly more challenging than they anticipated since they were tying into to our existing wood floor that was 7 yrs old and is a product that has since been discontinued.
After observing the difficulty of the job first hand, I am extremely grateful that I went with DC and their crew. Watching Brian and the crew make meticulous custom modifications to each tie in board was impressive. Having had experience laying hardwood floor in the past, I have a true appreciation for what Brian was able to do to make our floor look seamless. They also took extra care to clean up every day. Despite the unanticipated difficulty of the job, Tommy stood by his original estimate.
If you’re looking for an honest, trustworthy, and fair flooring company that does outstanding work and treats their customers right, choose Direct Carpet. I will do business with them again in the future when needed.

The reason I went with this company is because of the five-​star reviews they had. I’m proud to say that they’re getting another five star review and that’s from me. Seldom do you have an experience that from beginning to and just completely professional and totally accommodating. It is no wonder this company has a stab Lish such good rapport with this customers. My instincts told me during my first phone conversation with them that this is going to be a good experience. After the in-​home consultation with Mike I feel even better. I paid half upfront and half upon completion of the job. I had a complete carpet removal and installation for my upstairs bedrooms and my stairs.
The price was right! And, the workers showed up within the one hour window that was promised. This was not one of those deals with the cable guy that it gives you a four hour window and shows up two hours after that. I appreciated that very much. Anyway, the workers busted their butts all day and the finished product could not come out any better.
I’m extremely pleased with this entire purchase an experience. I highly recommend.

The pros:
Lots of choices for both carpeting and flooring.
Friendly staff.
They set appointments quickly and show up on time.
They measure quickly and bring samples.
They provide a written cost proposal a few hours after measurements and selections are made.
The cons:
They don’t always call back as promised.
They shorted the carpet and installers had to come back a second time.
The installers are good, but smoke. Even though they go outside, the odor drifts indoors and they left countless cigarette butts outside.
I would use them again, but maybe ask for a non-​smoking install crew and ask that measurements be taken twice.
