When you come to teVelde, we promise it will be the most supportive and loving environment you will ever learn in, period. We specialize in building confidence and giving our students the foundational skills to access their own personal genius. Our goal is to develop musical families in our community, and welcome you into ours!

Our teachers are highly trained in the art of teaching, and our students are matched, by personality type and learning style, to lessons they will love. We embrace current technologies, and utilize ipads in our lessons.

We have a specialized team of teachers that work with all types of learning challenges, including ADHD, TBI, ASDs, and more. We have our music therapy dog, «Quincy», on site by appointment. Students earn awards and perform at The Clark Center twice a year!

History

Established in 1997.

At teVelde, we keep 97% of our new students. In most schools, 85% of new students quit lessons in the first year. This is because each student has a unique learning style and personality type, and most teachers teach everyone with the same old, ineffective, systems. We use new methods designed for flexibility, while teaching the basics in a way that every student can learn. Our teachers work with our student’s exact learning styles, and the result is a productive lesson that is truly FUN!

We have 12 custom designed, high-​tech teaching rooms, and 15 amazing, highly trained and talented teachers. Parents may watch all lessons from the comfort of our waiting rooms. We have a special pre-​school area for our families to be comfortable.

teVelde is the Most Highly Awarded School within 300 miles, with over 15 Excellence in Teaching Awards. Our students receive awards & perform twice a year at The Clark Center, and have a blast doing it! We also have a full digital recording studio.

Business Owner

It is a personal passion of Bonnie teVelde to change how music is taught by developing flexible curricula that teach the basics, utilizing the best of new technologies with tried traditional methods.

Ms. teVelde is passionate about creating musical families in the community, and welcoming every new music student to the school. An expert in the development of the brain and music, Ms. teVelde, and the teVelde teaching team, are continually in training classes to expand knowledge in brain function, teaching methods, and learning styles.

Ms. teVelde is passionate about building a teaching team that is second to none, and about keeping the school atmosphere warm and engaging. To work with music students is the highest honor, and every student is highly valued.

In 2011, Ms. teVelde developed The T.A.P. Method which teaches students how to hear Absolute Perfect Pitch. We currently have over 200 students, between the ages of 2 & 60, learning perfect pitch
