If anyone is looking for a baker in San Luis Obispo(or surrounding areas) call Deanna!!! Her cakes are amazing and she’s so sweet, easy and accommodating! I found Deanna on Unilocal last year when I needed a last minute surprise cake for my best friend’s wedding. Deanna was so great in doing this for me with maybe 2 days notice and she also offered to get a bottle of champagne for them since I live at least 3 hours away and wasn’t up there. My bff said that the cake was beautiful and so delicious! Her and her new husband were thrilled to have a wedding cake. Oddly enough, I needed another surprise cake for my parents 50th wedding anniversary because they’ll be up in Pismo celebrating. I contacted Deanna about a week ago and again she’s been great with helping me put together a design and colors for their cake. She’s been amazing with me sending her pictures of cake designs and accent colors. Deanna offered up her opinions of what I sent her and together we came up with an amazing cake! I know that it’ll be just as delicious and beautiful as the cake last year!!!

Sweet Dee’s is our family’s go to for cakes! Deanna is so sweet and amazing to work with. She always goes above and beyond to make sure we get exactly what we need & want. A few years ago I was toying with some pretty strict diet restrictions to try to improve some health issues and Deanna not only delivered a beautiful cake(with a picture of my pride and joy dog painted on it — best surprise of my life), but she met every restriction and it was absolutely delicious! For baby showers, bridal showers etc… I’ve had her do mini cupcakes in multiple flavors and it’s amazing. You can try a bunch of flavors and not feel SOOO guilty. For the man of the house she has a Guiness beer flavor, he loves it! Over all I would, and do, recommend Sweet Dee’s Cakery to everyone!

Very bad experience with this«baker» got a hold of her to get a quote on a cake for my sons birthday. After agreeing with the price, I asked if I can do a tasting and she said yes. She never mentioned a tasting fee(I have all the emails to prove it). The cakes looked good on the outside and one of them was good but a little dry. The other cake(strawberry) one was mushy. I did let her know, because I wasn’t about to pay $ 250 for a cake that didn’t taste good. We went back and forth with emails, at the end she told me to look for another baker. Why would you do this, 4 days before the actual party??? Really disappointed totally wasted my time. I didn’t care so much about the tasting fee, it was the fact that she didn’t tell me until I received my invoice.

Deanna is so amazing! I needed a bow tie cake & cake pops with bow ties! They could NOT have been cuter or tasted any better! I honestly wish I could eat her treats every day! So easy to work with & absolutely perfect product in every way!

Deanna has made cake pops and cakes for my sons first birthday party. I gave her my vision and she nailed it. They were better then I could of imagined. Not only that they are delicious! Moist to perfection. She then made cake pops for my baby shower and they were gorgeous and delicious! I highly recommend her for any of your baking needs. Birthdays, baby showers, weddings etc. You will not be disappointed.
