Savvi is an Epicuren Certified Spa that specializes in Deep Tissue, PreNatal, and Swedish Massage. We use only professional quality products for our Massage and Body Treatments.

History

Established in 2007.

Savvi Studio was created by Juli Platzer, Esthetician, C.M.T., and Waxer Extraordinaire. After many years as a one woman show, Juli opened Savvi in 2007. Lucky for Juli, her husband Andrew is an amazing woodworker who made Savvi’s clean, modern décor possible. They were featured in many local magazines for their use of «Green» building products in the construction.

Since then, Juli has been joined by Emily Ann Johnson, a very skilled Massage Therapist who specializes in Reflexology, MyoFascial and Pre-​Natal Massage. Kristen Kundrat, a licensed esthetician and cosmetologist who specializes in NovaLash lash extensions, airbrush makeup, waxing, and all spa services. Michelle Aragon, also a licensed esthetician and graduate of the California Holistic Institute for massage specializes in waxing, facials, massage and all spa services. And Erika Mohr, a graduate of the Fashion Institute and licensed esthetician who specialized in waxing and facials.

Business Owner

Juli’s skin care journey began with her own challenging skin problems. With a love of skin care products and an eagerness to improve her own complexion, Juli graduated from Lu Ross Academy in 1999. As a Licensed Esthetician in Advanced Esthetic Training she extended her Skin and Spa education at the International Dermal Institute. In 2000 she completed the Massage Practioner Course from Central Coast College of Body Therapy.

Through her career Juli has become certified in performing Microdermabrasion Treatments, L.E.D. low level therapy, Oxygen therapy, Layered Chemical Peels, Cold Waxing, and Mineral Make Up Applications. Her unsatiable appetite for new skin care has introduced her to some of the most advanced professional lines and the talented trainers that represent them.

Juli continues to celebrate her career in the Spa & Wellness industry with ongoing education for skin & body treatments and the product ingredients that make the magic her clients have come to expect.

Stopped by here looking for 2 specific Jane Iredale makeup products. They carry the line, but seemed to be out of many items. The receptionist or stylist who was working at the register ignored my friend and I for a few minutes, then came over and promised to check if they had it in stock… Then never came back.
Maybe the services are good here, but product sales were a big disappointment and I left without purchasing. I would not visit again based on this experience.

Great personalized attention!
I’ve been going to see Juli at Savvi spa for my facials and waxing.
I go monthly for my visits to Savvi spa. Juli gives me great recommendations for skin care. I am now using Epicuren products and my skin looks so good! She is fast with my waxing and tries to make it as pain free as possible. She is able to work around my schedule and quirks– I get personalized attention for what I need that day.
I like the convenience of online and mobile app for scheduling appointments and track my account. Great selection of retail products such as Epicuren, Rhonda Allison, and others.

Claudia does a great facial! She was very attentive to my skin’s needs, and had a relaxing presence. The prices are better than a lot of spas in town (at least for express facials); this was a selling point for me.

I came to Savvi to get a Deep Tissue Massage from Emily… and she was absolutely amazing! She made me feel really comfortable throughout the entire experience. She used a good amount of pressure and I could literally feel the knots leaving my body as she was working. She didn’t just focus on my shoulders and back but also spent time working on my legs, feet, and hips. When I left I felt so relaxed and refreshed. If you are coming in for a massage you have to try Emily!

I was a brazilian virgin before I came here, so I was a little nervous. Let me just say, it was such a painless experience. Kristen is amazingly good and I still don’t have hair regrowth! (It’s been 4 weeks!) She’s fast and professional and just makes you feel as comfortable as you can given the circumstances. I will definitely be back!

I recently received a facial by Kristen. She is simply amazing! I felt very comfortable through out the entire process from start to finish. My skin feels fantastic & I can already tell a difference in the clarity and softness. Kristen also gave me great advice for proper skin care and introduced me to some new skin care products. I just simply cannot say enough great things about her.
This is not my first visit with Kristen. I have also had the wonderful experience of having Nova Lashes done by her. She made the lashes look so natural and close to the lash line as possible that people at times actually believed that they were my natural lashes.
Kristen is truly a master at what she does. I highly recommend booking an appointment with her at Savvi Skin Studio. Thanks Kristen!

I came here for a facial with Julie and it was alright. The products were nice and it was relaxing, she also gave me a great facial massage at the end.
The not so great part was that for an $ 80 facial she seemed rushed and I was out of there within 30 minutes. She also stated several times that it did not include an extraction (ok, didn’t ask for one).
I probably would have come back if I hadn’t found another place in town that I absolutely fell in love with.

I am so happy I found this little gem! I am picky about eyebrow maintenance and the ladies here are great! The products they use are gentle on my sensitive skin. Appointments can be booked online which is very convenient. I am looking forward to trying their other spa services. I highly recommend Savvi Skin Studio!

Juli is probably the best esthetician I’ve been to. My husband’s company relocates us about once a year and usually it takes a while for me to find one that I like. She was the first one I went to and was so happy with the results that I couldn’t imagine finding someone better. I would give her 10 stars if I could!

My skin was looking real shit and I needed to do something about it since it wasn’t calming down. So, I booked an appointment with Kristen. It was pricey, so it took me a while to hit the button and reserve an appointment.
At $ 90, the facial included skin analysis, cleaning, duo exfoliation, a peel/​mask, extraction, massage, another mask, and a short hand/​foot massage.
I don’t know if I’m just used to Asian facials where they literally extract every little bit of gunk and disgusting in your face, but I wish Kristen would’ve spent more time extracting. The massaging was a plus since most places I’ve been to only massage your shoulders for less than 5 minutes. After the facial, my skin was literally «baby butt» soft, and still is.
Kristin was really nice and very thorough with telling me my skin type, what problems needed to be issued, and how to take care of my skin.

I think the only reason that’s keeping me from giving it a 4 is that I still have a lot of the spots that I walked into Savvi with. I still have bumpy little gross things along my chin and cheek. The plus side? My skin is super soft and looks more radiant, but the reason for my visit was to get rid of my spots. :(
I might come back if my skin is in desperate need of a facial, but I’m broke now so I might not be back for a while…

I’m a broke college student so when I saw the Unilocal offer for a free eyebrow wax, I was super excited! After waiting about 15 minutes for the woman (owner maybe?) to be come out and talk to me, I asked about the offer and was told that it is only applicable with purchase of a facial. This would have been fine if it was clear in the offer. I was very disappointed.

I’ve never been waxed but my girlfriend gets the Brazilian wax and it’s super sexy. She tells me that it hurts for a moment but juli gets it done super quick. I really apreciate this service. I’m just sayin. Keep up the good work.

I’ve had Brazilian waxing before, but this last time I was nervous. Not of the pain — I’m a total badass. But because I was 38 weeks pregnant and apprehensive about being naked and spread eagle on the table when I looked like a water buffalo. That ate a hippopotamus for breakfast. And lunch.
Juli was totally cool and relaxed and made me feel very comfortable. When I was there I forgot about my bovine appearance. The salon was clean, quiet and professional. I appreciated the competitive pricing and easy MindBody online booking system. Will definitely be going back!

Went here for my first Brazilian… hurt like hell the first time… but Juli was so patient and nice and talkative… she made me feel comfortable despite the awkward position I was in.
I have been there three time since and appreciate her professional, sanitary and well done job.

So I made an appointment with Juli for my first ever Brazillian and been wanting to do it for a while but was to chicken. Before my appointment I got an email about their happy hour, brow and lip waxing for $ 20! I went in and the girl who did my waxing was really nice and really informative. She gave me all sorts of tips about eyebrows and make up. And the wax that was used was painless.
I went back a few days later for my Brazillian, my first one. Juli was so great, I did not feel awkward at all. There were a few strips that hurt more than others but overall it was so much less painful then I had imagined. I love the results and am so happy that I finally did it and that I found Juli! Savvi studio is my new place for all my waxing, I love it. And can’t wait to try their different services as well.

I must say, Juli is truly the best I have encountered in my five or so years of searching for «the one.» I have only seen her for waxes, but have every intention of trying her other services too. They use a cold wax here, which means the pain isn’t so bad, especially compared to the other wax using cloth strips to tear it off your skin.
Also, she isn’t one of «those girls» who has to tweeze to touch-​up any missed hair. If you come in for a wax, you get a wax… not a wax-and-oh-crap-I-missed-that-spot-so-let’s-tweeze-it-OUCH…
Juli is extremely professional yet has that perfectly balanced with a friendly disposition. Prices are fair, and they offer so much! She and this studio have been truly marvelous finds for me. Highly recommended!
