bought 2 F150, s in 2 years from salesman Kurt Zumstein, everything you think about a car salesman is wrapped up in this corpulant man, beware, lazy rude knows little about his product and couldnt care less about you after the sale, would rather walk than buy a car from this man, never again will i go to Perry Ford while this awful representative works there, dreadful

I have been a loyal customer for a while now, but the last time I had my car taken in was such a bad experience I will never take it back. I had my car towed in and it was 4 days before they even gave me a diagnosis. When I expressed my concern about not being able to get to work and school they were not accommodating at all. They wouldn’t give me a courtesy car or give me another way of transportation. When I spoke to management they were not only not helpful, but they were also very rude. To anyone with car issues, save your time and go somewhere else.

Want to give a special thanks to Rob Pendley and all the diesel mechanics in the service department. We purchased a truck (used)from a dealer out of the area and immediately started having trouble after the purchase. We took the truck to Perry and Rob made us feel as if we had purchased the truck there. They were very professional and I like to no BS approach. They fixed the problem and we are going to definitely bring the truck there for any service in the future even though we have a local dealer within a mile of our home in Paso Robles. Thanks again Rob and all of the service team at Perry.

This a review for the service department. I live in San Francisco, but my 2 year old Focus recently had transmission failure in San Luis Obispo. I had it towed to the dealership, described what my car was doing, and felt there was a clear effort being made by the service department to assist. I asked if there had been transmission problems with my model year and service adviser was truthful with me. Ford had transmission problems with my make and model, but the company has extended the warranty for the affected transmission parts. This might anger some people, but I appreciate the no BS approach. I had to leave my car there while they waited for the part on back order. It took 12 days, but they fixed the car free of charge and they paid for the rental car too. I think that is pretty fair. The only minus to a 5 star for the service department falls on Ford itself rather than the dealership. The parts needed for my car were on back order. Ford corporate needs to better address this when they have issues they are trying to avoid a recall on. The Perry service department was honest with me. However, the parts my car needed were on back order for about a week. Ford corporate, should have found a better way to ship those parts in a timely manner and not leave their dealerhip’s service department hanging in the wind.

I received a recall notice from Ford. After my last experience — all day long instead of the 3 hours promised — I knew I didn’t want to go back to Paso Robles Ford so I called Perry Ford in San Luis Obispo.
The person who answered the phone gave me complete information on the time to expect to spend and an appointment was available almost immediately. When I drove into the service area I was amazed by the kiosk and the immediate attention. I was told my service rep would be with me immediately, and he was.
My service rep was Rob. He was polite and friendly, completing everything with maybe 1 minutes delay — not 5 while he was on the phone booking other appointments. He said it would take 1 to 1.5 hours. I told him I was going to get lunch. He took my cell phone number so he could call when my car was ready.
In less than 1 hour after leaving the service area I received a call from Rob. My car was ready but take my time over lunch; it would be there for me when I was ready to pick it up.
My car and Rob were waiting for me when I returned. I signed some paperwork to release it and was out and on my way home in less than 5 minutes.
What a difference! So worth the drive to SLO.

Had an unfortunate truck breakdown this past Saturday. I called Perry Ford only to find the parts department was open YAY. I got through to the parts desk and the gentleman was able to find the parts I needed and set them out on the counter for me. I drove down there to get the parts and when I pulled up, I noticed the service department was open. I was met at the entrance by Rob, who inquire if he could be of assistance. I replied to him absolutely. I told him my story of some frustration tat brought me there to begin with and that I had parts waiting for me to put on. Rob called over a mechanic who got right under the hood and we agreed that parts I has asked for were the right ones I needed. he then offered to install them for me at no cost! I asked him «are you sure?» He told me he was. As Manny was installing the turobcharger pipe clamp, he noticed the boot was an aftermarket part and showed me why the clamp wasn’t doing it’s job well. We agreed that I needed the boot was well. I wnet over to parts again and paid for the boot and Manny had it on in just a few minutes. The 5 minute job ended up taking more like 20 – 25 minutes and I checked in again with Rob, to make sure he didn’t want to open a ticket and run it through their system. He politely declined again and said thanks Mr. W, you are along time customer, we’ll take care of you.
We’ve been doing business with Perry ford since 1995, between my wife and I we have purchased 6 of our last 7 vehicles from them and generally use their service department for services and repairs. It is this kind of relationship that we have with them that keeps us coming back. Thanks Rob and Manny, you are keeping up the Perry Ford reputation as a place we want to do business with.

Do not go here! The costumer service is terrible. I brought my car in for an appointment I made to get the oil changed. They said it would be about an hour. So I told them to call me when it was done and went to target. About 2 hours later I called to find out why they hadn’t called yet the receptionist directed to someones voicemail so I walked back over to find out that my car was next in line and it would be 30 more min so I went back to target and called them after another hour they finally said my car was ready to be picked up. I get there pay for the terrible service and someone had to go find my car 10 min later they pull up with it soaking wet. After a total of 3 ½ hours I am finally driving off the lot. I don’t plan on ever returning here and would recommend you avoid this place it was the worst service I’ve ever received and the biggest waste of my time and according to the other reviews I’m not the only one who has has problems here.

To Whom It May Concern:
Recently I contacted Perry Ford in SLO to perform a routine service check on my vehicle. In October of 2012 I purchased my vehicle from Perry Ford, and at that time paid for five of these maintenance checks.
My appointment was at 11:30am, and I pulled in at 11:30am. I waited in my car briefly, but since I was not greeted and I couldn’t see anyone I exited my vehicle and went to the cashier’s office. When I told her I was there to have a service done, she told me that I first needed to speak to one of the guys outside, to which I replied «what guys?»
After several minutes I was approached by a gentleman who took my information and said he could take it from there. He asked if I would be waiting for my vehicle, I told him yes, and he said okay. It would have been nice if someone had pointed me in the direction of the waiting room since I’m confident more than one person saw me wandering in the wrong direction after handing over my keys.
After an hour and a half I went back into the heat to see if I could spot my car, and try to determine how much longer it would be. I did see it, sitting empty in the corner with no one around. Fifteen minutes later, still sitting there. Fifteen minutes after that it was taken to be washed. I was obviously frustrated and several employees looked at me, put their heads down, and kept walking.
When it was finished I approached the cashier to finish the paperwork. She told me that the gentleman in the middle hadn’t finished the paperwork yet so I had to continue to wait. When I told her I had already been waiting for over two hours, she gave me an unsympathetic look and paged the gentlemen in the middle with a «customer waiting» over the loud speaker. Obviously, this man was oblivious because I could see him chit chatting with another employee totally ignoring the page over the loud speaker.
I understand that my appointment was made right around lunch time so employees were taking breaks, but to wait for more than two hours to get an oil change is absolutely ridiculous. Had I been treated with a little courtesy and offered an apology for the wait I would not be so upset, but to wait that long and then be treated so rudely is unacceptable.
Had I not pre-​paid for the maintenance checks I would be very hesitant to ever go back. When I walked on the lot to buy a car I was treated like royalty, everyone greeted us, shook our hands, made small talk, etc… Now that you guys have our money, apparently everyone thinks it’s okay to ignore customers and treat them as if they don’t matter.

Adequate. Got charged $ 1100 for replacing the bladders on my Lincoln’s air suspension. Blew out again less than 500 miles later. Replaced for free as it was under warranty. Shuttle service to take you wherever you need to go. Not thrilled at the cost, but I guess I never expect the dealer to be very competitive in the pricing department either. Better than 1 star though.

Very professional and get your car fixed right the first time. Have been visiting this shop for over 4 years for my Ford cars. Service department and body shop are a hit but have yet to try out the sales department. But, I hear good things.
