We are a full service Auto Repair facility. We offer Smog Check inspections, routine oil change services, Major services, Check Engine Light diagnosis and repair, as well as Air Conditioning diagnosis and repair. Morin Brothers services all makes and models of car or truck except for Porsche cars and commercial trucks over 10,000 GVW. We do not do body work.

History

Established in 1981.

Morin Brothers Foreign Automotive was started by brothers Michael and Peter Morin in 1981. They had 1 employee and worked mostly on Fiats, SAABs, Volvos and a few Japanese cars and trucks. How things have changed! In 1990 Michael bought out Peter’s interest so that he could pursue a career in music. By 2000 Morin Brothers had moved from their original location on McMillan Ave to their current location at 4090 Broad St. and dropped the «Foreign» from their name. We now have six employees, two «mascots», Lennie and Gertie, and work on just about everything.

Business Owner

Michael has been making a living in the automotive business for more than 30 years. Owning a small business is by far the most challenging thing he has ever done. Michael is an avid cyclist and regularly rides 20 – 50 miles a week, with occasional longer rides and cross state tours. He lives in Atascadero with his wife Kathleen and their two mutts, Lennie and Gertie.
