Mint Salon + Spa

It is extremely difficult to find a really good hair stylist/​salon that listens to a customer with long hair. Luckily for me I found her– Savannah listened to me – did an amazing job on my almost waist length hair. I left the salon with long hair & a beautiful cut/​style.

Always a wonderful experience with the staff at Mint. Savannah does my color and cut and is amazing at what she does! Great atmosphere as well.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Jenny for well over 12 years, and she is hands down my favorite hair dresser in San Luis!!! I recommend her to everyone I know! She’s awesome and you can tell she loves what she does, it shows in her work!!! She always makes sure I leave looking gooood! Everytime I get my hair done here, I get soo many compliments. just sayin. the girl knows her stuff! Love the location an LOOVE the staff!!!

Just like many of the other reviewers, I was first introduced to all of these lovely stylists through Tigerlily in SLO. Since Allison is so amazing with hair and books up months in advance, I’ve had the chance to receive great cuts from Josh and Savannah. I’m really glad they continued to use Bumble and Bumble and Epicuren products at their new salon.
Although Mint isn’t located in downtown, I’m actually a fan of their new location. No more struggling for parking and no more running out of the salon mid-​appointment to add more quarters to the parking machine! Their new salon is decorated with that semi-​rustic, but artsy hipster décor and still has a lot of potential when it comes to décor. I’m excited to see what they do in the coming months and years!
Prices for a cut are still reasonable and all of the stylists that I’ve gone to have done a stellar job. Even though I live in San Francisco, these stylists have been my go-​to hairstylists for over 13 years!

Ricky gave me my very first facial, I am 68 years old and I have one thing to say– what was I waiting for? She uses what can only be described as lovely hands and made my skin Glow. My advice is: don’t wait.

Mint is a perfect lil sanctuary for your hair AND skin needs! I literally would trust any one of the hair dressers here with my hair and any one of the esthies with taking off my hair! Have seen them all, but most current iv been going to Josh. He really goes the extra mile to make sure you get the hair YOU want. I also love there 2 skin care product lines Epicuren and Image. Stocked to have MINT in our town and be a gem that is outside of down town!

I have been going to Allison for over 10 years and am so happy she opened her own salon. I still drive 5 hours to get my hair done by Allison because she knows my hair better than anyone. She is great with my thick hair and never makes you feel rushed if it takes longer to cut and dry. She is professional, personable and great at what she does. I am sure she has brought on a great staff that is just as talented as she is.

Mint salon is great. I have been to all the salons in San Luis Obispo county over the last 15 years for hair color and cut. By far, Allyson does the best job. She is an expert at color, and believe me, no other salon compares. You will be happy to know she also has a wonderful staff, all very knowledgeable, and talented at hair and make up!
I highly recommend Mint. You will love what they do! They do book up really fast because they are so good. I usually make my appointments a month in advance, but I have seen customers walk in and get taken care of, so they will do «walk in’s»
Once you try them, you won’t go anywhere else!
