History
Established in 1856.
The Adobe and Garden was originally built in the 1850’s by Pierre Dallidet. He was the first commercial vintner in the San Luis area growing a number of crops as well as a variety of grapes for wine and brandy. The Adobe is possibly the only one in California that includes a wine cellar linking Dallidet back to his French ties.
The youngest son, Paul, granted the property to the Historical Society of SLO in 1953 and continued to live there until his death in 1958. Most of the furnishing are original to the home and family. The Adobe and Gardens have been painstakingly restored to their original state by the History Center of SLO Co. volunteers.
