History

Established in 1983.

For me, the name Bladerunner came from my customers in 1983. Having pickup and delivery 3 days a week and hand filing some 300 to 600 saw blades a week, I ran everywhere I went to try and keep up with the building boom demand.

When I approached some job sites I could here from the top of the rafters, «Bladerunner’s here!». So I took my cue and named the business Bladerunner.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Iowa. Transplanted to SLO in 1981. Worked as a laborer till a back injury put a stop to that. Started distributing saw blades in 1982, then fiberglass handled tools and sharpening on my own. I purchased my 1984 Grumman in 1985 and it is still kicking today. I have always been completely mobile and unlike your doctor, I make house calls.
