Number is disconnected. Out of business?

Some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met, was gonna call lyft but decided I wanted a local cab service instead. Called them to pick me up at 6pm, got a call a few minutes before saying they were outside of my house, the driver was such a cool dude. Engaged in great conversation and drove me to my destination promptly and rounded down the fair just to make it easy on me. Would definitely recommend these folks if you want a fast, reliable, friendly local cab service.

This morning, they said it would take 20 minutes. But they took 45 minutes. When I called after 30 minutes, I asked them what is going on? Sounded like they forgot. Then 15 minutes later I got a call saying they were at my apartment. I pretty much told them to f**k off and that they lost my business permanently. They dont even deserve one star. They should get minus stars. I’ve rode with them before and everytime they are rude also. Call anyone else but them!!!

If I could give them no stars I would. I called and they said that a cab would come in 15 minutes. 20 minutes later no cab. It took 30 minutes before they showed up and I missed my Bart train and was late for my meeting. I will never use them again.

We made arrangements yesterday evening for an 8:00 AM pickup TO THE AIRPORT! The cab finally arrived at 8:20! By this time we had had to beg a neighbor for a ride to the airport! My boyfriend is kind, and actually tipped the driver, generously, something I would not have done. NEVER AGAIN will I use this company

Reading Unilocal reviews i was skeptical any cab company would actually arrive on time when booked. Booked cab at 11pm for a 6.45am pickup to train station. Ali arrived 6.30am in clean Prius. He called to confirm he was outside. Comfortable safe and legal drive to the station. Ali was polite, put our bags in trunk and opened doors. Good service. Would definately use again.

We needed a ride at 1:30 am in Hayward. I called this number and the owner’s son answered. Very professional and nice over the phone and was able to help us. We spoke to 8 other cabs and they told us they would’t work that late. The cab was on time and the driver was very very polite. We will use this cab service whenever we are in the San Leandro/​Hayward locations.

Needed a ride from San Leandro to Alameda on Superbowl Sunday, which I can imagine is a pretty busy day for cab companies. Called the dispatcher, and the driver arrived in about 15 minutes. Got me home in time for the game, with good conversation along the way. Highly recommend.

Terrible service! I called for a cab when my family needed a pickup and they never came. No update either.
I wish Lyft or Sidecar would expand to the east bay

I have been procastinating in writing this update.
The Owner and driver of Yellow Cap Cab called me at work after my complaint on Unilocal.He explained he in fact arrived 15 mins earlier and tried to call me to let him through the gate but he realize he only had my work number. Now, I am confused. I usually gave my cellphone number when calling a cab. I am not sure if I didn’t give him my cellphone number or if he didn’t hear it when I gave it to him. He felt sorry that I didn’t get a cab ride and he offered to give me a free service to the airport whenever I need a ride.
I just feel I need to report this because obviously he didn’t want a bad rating on Unilocal

On time, hybrid, friendly

I was irritated. They never came. I called at 2pm and requested a 4:30pm pick up. At 4:40pm I called again and asked where my 4:30pm pick up was. «Oh, he’s on his way,» said the man at the other end of the phone. «He,» whoever he was, never arrived. Ridiculous.

Service is terrible. Don’t count on them for on-​time pickups. I called at 3pm for a 5:30pm pickup… Called again at 5:20 to confirm… And again at 5:40 to ask where he was… Finally got picked up at 5:50 & missed our BART.

One night i was driving home from a 6pm to 12am shift at Lucky’s supermarket when i felt bored and started to steer the wheel with my forehead (i know what your thinking, dumb right, yes I’m thinking the same thing). I did fine driving like that for about .5 miles when i lost control and ran into the curb of an island, bumped my head, and popped my tire. In the mist of shock i hear and Mexican guy walking on the street laughing at me, but little did he know the jokes on him because he was the one with no car walking at 12am in the morning by himself.
I slowly pull into the 24hr fitness across the street and got to work on my car. I pulled out the old and rusted car jack from the trunk and lifted the car to take the wheel off. Sad thing was that when i got the wheel off the jack collapsed and my car fell on the unbraced axial. Frustrated and tired from my slave work at Lucky’s, i postponed it to the morning and i called Yellow Cap Cab.
When i called they told me that they were close and said they would make it in 7mins. I expected it to be a longer wait but they arrived in 5mins. I told the driver about my situation and he actually offered to help me with my tire. He brought out his shiny new jack from the trunk and got to work with it. He jack the car up in less than and min without the car tipping over and when i tried to look for my spare tire it was gone… another fail of the night. He chuckled a little bit and helped me put on the flat before taking me home. With swelling of my forehead increasing he quickly sparked up a conversation about boxing (insensitive? not really i thought that was kinda funny). He was very insightful and friendly the whole ride home. I offered to pay him for the time that he spent trying to fix my car but he would not take it and just charged me for the fare.
That crap night actually didn’t turn out crappier… thanks to Yellow Cap Cab!

First time using a cab and it was a pleasant experience. The guy that picked me up arrived when he said he would and was a pretty cool guy. The ride was smooth and our conversation made the 10 min ride pass by in what seemed like 30 seconds. Rates were cheap and I couldn’t ask for a better cab experience. Saved me from walking 6 miles in the cold lonely night of November :)

My experience is exactly the same, if not worse than Kelly’s. The only reason I am giving even less stars is because I was dumb enough to give this company multiple chances-​at least 4– to win over my business.
The cab I received was dirty, grungy and filthy. I almost wonder from the other posted reviews if this is the same cab company, but I just checked my receipt to be sure.
Honestly, the cab glamour is secondary, I could care less. But what makes this a 1 star review is the fact that this cab company was late EVERYTIME I called them by at least 20 minutes. Considering I called them for airport service– 20 minutes is a BIG deal. If you need to be ontime anywhere– do not call this company.

I’m sorry to hear Kelly M. had a not so great experience with Yellow Cab taxi Co. of San Leandro. I actually had the exact opposite experience.
Long story short, I needed a cab to the Bart station, and found Yellow Cab on my iPhone app. as being the closest to me in Castro Valley. I gave them a call and explained where I needed to go & when. I had NO CASH and was in a bit of a hurry, so I asked if they took credit cards. They mentioned $ 15 minimum and I agreed. 15 Minutes later, I was in the cab and off we went. Once it came time to pay (about a $ 10 fare) I told the driver to run it for $ 15 as they mentioned the minimum over the phone, but he refused to charge me the full $ 15. I really had no problem with paying their minimum, especially since I knew about it in advance. I was really impressed at how honest he was, stating that it was just too much for the ride to Bart. So, he charged the card $ 11 and sent me on my way.
The driver saved me $ 4-​about the same amount as my Bart fare into SF-​but he also won my business for a long time.

Our situation was that we were in the city at a doctors appointment. Our doctor was late to our appointment because one of his other patients went into labor, so we were going to be very late getting home. My husband’s parents were at our house and the plan was that we’d take them to the airport once we got home.
Late got later, and we were growing concerned that we wouldn’t be home in time to get them on their flight. As soon as we left our appointment, we called Yellow Cap Cab to pick them up and bring them to the Oakland Airport. It’s literally 3 miles from our house. They said they’d be there in 10 – 15 minutes. 20 minutes later, my panicked mother-​in-​law called and they still weren’t there. I called Yellow Cap again and they said sorry, it would be another 10 minutes.
To cut to the end of the story — my husband and I arrived back at our house in San Leandro from a doctors appointment in Union Square/​San Francisco before the cab company that is located here in San Leandro could. So, we took them to the airport ourselves.
Also, when I called and asked about the rate — I mentioned that I read about them on Unilocal and was not offered a discount. Not that it matters, since we didn’t end up actually being able to use their service.

This place has saved me several times.
They arrive very quick once you make the call, and the cars are always clean and smell fresh!
Plus the drivers are always friendly and easy to talk to, what more could you want?
When i need a local cab, this is my first choice. Always.
