I’ve had some really, really bad dental work done in the past. This has led to crowns that weren’t done right, a root canal my dentist thought I didn’t need but I ended up needing, and I developed a general disdain towards any dentistry work.
I found Dr. Mola through my insurance plan, and I’m super grateful. He makes each visit painless, takes the time to thoroughly explain what’s going on with your teeth, what your options are, how he’ll go about the process, etc. Literally every single person that works in this office is incredibly kind and friendly, and Dr. Mola takes the time to get to know each patient. I’ve been seeing him for a year now and he’s redone both of my crowns, along with an old filling. Each procedure was painless and my crowns look MUCH better!
As an added bonus, he’s super open to setting up payment plans for your dental work. There’s no better dentist in the Bay!

Dr. Mola is the kindest dentist I have ever met. The service I received was over and beyond my expectations. He makes you feel like a person and not a number. He takes the time to ask about your day and he explains the procedure thoroughly. He makes going to the dentist an enjoyable experience. My only wish is that I had found him sooner. The staff is also nice and professional unlike the previous dental place I went to in San Leandro.
I have finally found a dentist where I can feel comfortable and not fear. I only wish I could give more stars!

I am SO lucky to have found Dr. Mola and the Select Dental family!!! After having a very traumatic experience at another San Leandro dentist office, where I was told that I would definitely need a root canal and at least 5 fillings or I’ll lose my tooth. I went to Dr. Mola in a panic and he reassured me that he could take care of my tooth and he did an amazing job to make sure my teeth were filled beautifully and painlessly — and NO root canal!!!
Everyone is so genuine, kind, professional. They follow through and never fail to deliver top-​notch service. My teeth have never been happier or healthier. Like others have said I, too, look forward to my appointments at Select Dental.
I love that the parking is super easy, the text message reminders are great. The building is rather quaint outside but the facilities inside are very modern and comfortable.
Also, I love that they send a Happy Birthday text message! :D

I love Select Dental! Professional, clean & friendly. I’m not one to like the dentist but after working with Dr. Mola I can honestly say I love the dentist, well at least this dentist. His front desk ladies & assistants are as awesome as he is. Thank you Dr. for calming my nerves and fears. Cheers to your kind & caring ways!

Dr. Mola was great and I highly recommend him. The office is nice, every person on the staff is friendly and Dr. Nola proved that I can trust him by saving me a bunch of money on X-​rays that he could have easily charged me more money for.

Came back today for my 6 mo. check up, so this would be 6 months after my first review. I still really love this place… well, let’s face it. I still really love Dr. Mola! What a genuinely, kind guy who seems to really enjoy getting to know each of his patients. I’m moving out of the area in July (so sad), but I’m telling everyone I know to hurry and switch dentists! I’ve seriously never left the dentist smiling. but I always do after coming here!
At least today wouldn’t be my last visit… I’m going back to get the whitening boosts done!

It is not enough to say about there service and purification but every time I go for my Appointment I get Excited and I like the world to know thanks Dr Mola

I’ve been seeing Dr. Mola for about a year, and I’ve been meaning to write an excellent review on him this whole year. My husband started going here and really likes Dr. Mola, too. I actually look forward to seeing him.
At my last visit, I was being taken back and I heard a patient happily exclaim, «You are just so nice!» to Dr Mola. She must be new — he is incredibly kind, helpful, and positive. I’ve heard him be so kind to everyone — no matter what kind of insurance you have, he’s helpful and so compassionate.
The dental office is really nice: clean, well designed, and there’s always gorgeous music playing. Often Spanish guitar, or beautiful jazz.
Dr Mola is a perfectionist: he makes absolutely sure a filling or crown are made exactly right and perfectly in place. Once, a porcelain crown he’d had made by a lab looked great, but there was a tiny gap. He sent it back to the lab to have them remake it because he knew that tiny gap would mean debris could get in and harm the tooth. Most dentists would ignore that gap (I’ve had dentists like that!), but Dr. Mola made sure the lab remade it correctly. It was perfect the second time and definitely worth the wait. Dr. Mola was so apologetic but honestly I know it was worth it to wait and get the right crown in.
He’s always got something fabulous to tell me — whether it’s about going to dental school in the Dominican Republic (he loved it) or how he did his internship work in Mexico because he knew he would get a ton of experience there because there is such a great need for dental care. He can do both top notch excellent upscale dental work (I had super fancy insurance through work) and super compassionate and helpful for people who dont have the best dental insurance. I absolutely respect this man’s work ethic. I want to be more like him. He’s the best in the bay area.

I got my E-​max crowns by Dr. Mola’s recommendation. He treated the area perfectly with his professionalism because those were the ones mistreated three years ago and they were nothing but pain and bleeding. So with his procedure everything went fine and I have a better smile with no pain anymore.
I believe that being a great doctor is seeing every case within every aspects and fixing previously made mistakes correctly.
So Select Dental is the perfect place with high quality, hygiene and trustful crew.

Found Dr mola through my insurance and always driving by… Great small clean office. Sally and maria are very kind and helpful. Dr mola is a great dentist as well as courteous and knows us by name. Its makes the experience even better. the first time I came in last year he greeted me in the waiting area personally. I truly recommend this dental office.

Sally is the best dental assistant and office manager on the planet! I have never had a dentist who calls to check on me and listens when you say something is not right with my mouth. I am REALLY impressed with Dr Mola. He went over my X-​Rays and care plan with detail and patience, without getting too technical. He was very attentive and VERY genuinely showed a desire to helping with my dental issues (I should take better care of my oral health). In the few times we’ve been there, he and his staff have been very welcoming and friendly. What REALLY topped it off? Dr Mola called me personally this SUNDAY morning during the holiday weekend just to check up on me after having some work done yesterday. I don’t know about you, but I have NEVER had a dentist do that personally. That gesture spoke volumes about the level of care he and his staff provides. Thank you, Select Dental!!!

I can’t say enough about how much I like having Dr. Mola as our family dentist! I used to have a ridiculous phobia of the dentist (in the past with other dentists I needed nitrous oxide for regular cleanings and I even had general anesthesia to get my wisdom teeth out). Now I don’t dread going to the dentist at all! And Dr. Mola has been so great with my son. The staff is super friendly and professional.

Dr. Mola has come to the rescue. I brought my 95 year old great grandma in to his office for her first dentist visit in years (due to a traumatic dental procedure that destroyed her mouth years ago that made her deathly afraid of the dentist) and he put her at ease instantly. He is a great dentist and now I want to change my own dentist to come see Dr. Mola. He is knowledgeable and makes you feel at ease. I couldn’t be more grateful for such a great experience. Dr. Mola and his staff are wonderful. I highly recommend Select Dental. The staff are friendly and professional. Dr. Mola is easy going and very personable. The procedure performed was explained and all my questions were answered and I never felt rushed. The office itself is nice, clean and the equipment used seems to be up to date. I’m ashamed to say that before my visit here it had been a few years since I saw a Dentist. I’m not a big fan of going for fear of pain, however I am at ease now and plan to get back into my regular routine of seeing one every 6 months!

First visit (after 20 years at another dentist in Alameda.)
Staff is professional and courteous. Facility is modern (practice is a couple of years old). Equipment is state-​of-​the-​art. Exam was thorough. Cleaning performed by Dr. Mola himself. Treatment recommendations were fully explained, including insurance breakdown (Select Dental takes DeltaCareUSA, which has lower reimbursement rates for dentists, so it us unusual to find such a superb dental practice as Dr. Mola’s among their providers.). Highly recommended.

Best Dentist EVER!
Now I HATE the dentist probably more than anyone. Bad experiences have ensured that being shaky and feeling sick to my stomach accompanies me to the dentist chair.
My insurance isnt that great so I was skeptical when I walked into their lobby, it was too nice. My insurance has been «accepted» at other places and I ended up getting a $ 1500.00 quote, so I was sure that would be the case with Select Dental. Not the case.
Dr. Mola and his staff are incredible nice, professional AND they know what they are talking about.
He didnt judge my horrible teeth nor did I get a look when I confessed that I had been hiding from the dentist for three years and thats why I cracked at tooth and ended up in his chair as an emergency. He sent me to the right place and got everything taken care of.
I am so greatful to him, he is amazing and talks to you while working. He works with your budget and is single-​handedly making it so I have a white smile.
I work two jobs, both for family businesses, and he even talked to my nephew when I had to take him to my appointment.
He works with my schedule and I even get reminder texts from the office for my appointments.
Im not going to go as far as saying I am excited to going to the dentist (unless you have laughing gas I dont see anyone chomping at the bit to go) but Im not sick to my stomach when I have to go and I’m not shaking in the chair.
He does amazing work and you like him as a person– even though he is a dentist :)

Best dentist I’ve ever had, by a longshot! Dr. Mo is down to earth, like able, attentive and works to fit your budget. The staff is also professional and friendly. Dr. Mo is always getting the latest in dental technology and he is happy to tell or show you how it works, like a kid with a new toy. If there is anything he needs to do for you, he will show you why it needs to be done so you’re not left wondering if you really need it or not.
Last night, I thought there might be something wrong with a cavity I just had filled so I called and left an after hours voicemail asking to come in. To my surprise, he returned the call the same night and told me that he had an opening the very next day and to just stop in at the given time if I could. He went above and beyond the call of duty as far as helping me in a timely fashion. Plus it turns out there was nothing wrong with the filling after all!
This dentist is so good that the woman who referred me who recently moved to Texas travels here and back just to keep him as her dentist! If that’s not saying something, I don’t know what will.
