Great sandwiches for an amazing price. I work in San Leandro and found this place on Unilocal.I tried it for the first time for a pastrami sandwich and tee meat was spiced write and it comes on a soft roll. They told to come the next day for Bbq. Came by and they had a steak sandwich ribeye cut, side potato salad and a drink for $ 6. The meat was cooked write and very tender. Can’t believe the value. I will definitely come back again and recommend.

Strictly sandwich review. I’ve been here for meat products before but on Tuesdays they have this delicious steak sandwich which is the best I’ve ever had on earth! You have to come from there sandwichs. I get the Double which is any choice of meat steak hotlink chicken or any other meat they have on that particular day your choice of cheese and all the toppings you prefer also it’s a combo which means you have a choice of chips salad and drink very good.

This review is for the BBQ sandwiches! I usually go on Tuesdays bc they offer a special for $ 6 that includes 1 sandwich, 1 drink, and 1 side. The steak sandwich and the hot link sandwich are bomb af. The portion is really filling and the meat is so well cooked. The sides offered are potato salad, macaroni salad, Cole slaw or chips. The cole slaw isn’t something I’d get again but the potato salad is good. Parking is usually limited so I park across the street at the liquor store. Ambiance of the place could be improved but I’m there for the food so who really cares??? Overall a good, affordable lunch spot to order on the go.

Lunardi’s is a delicious lunch/sandwich place that has good service by most of the people. However, there is one person bringing the place down. I don’t know her name but she’s short and stout. She has an attitude 24⁄7 and does NOT want to be working. So send her ass home! If she doesn’t want to work then don’t have her work. Simple. You work for your money.

Been around San Leandro for years and I just started coming here. Had a BBQ last minute and came here to get meat. Great service and awesome prices. Sandwiches are also good and meaty. Great prices for the combo. My new spot to get meat for BBQ. Locally owned is a plus too.

Deli sandwiches to go. Not much can go wrong there. The staff were friendly and helpful. Meat on the sandwiches was high quality and abundant. I guess there is a lot that could go wrong… But we were very pleased. Grabbed sandwiches on a Saturday afternoon to take over to a local tap room. It was perfect! We would like to go back at some point for the butchered goods. The meats seemed very reasonably priced.

ok there are a few changes int he shop. you will notice a family history board on the wall. also i think there is a special on hotdog’s i think its $ 2-$ 3 and they do have tuna sandwiches as well. and i do think you can request sliced bread on sandwiches. if it is in stock. instead of the big sandwich roll. if you are having a party. come on down they can take any order big or small. but give advance notice. and also if you have any issues please talk to sue, chris or joanne. and if your reading this please tell them that big randy referred you. and the website is and yes its a work in progress.

Our new favorite meat and sandwich place. Great deals and yummy sandwiches. Only downside is street parking but other than that we’ll be regular customers!!!

Had a really excellent BBQ sandwich here for a great deal. Three sandwiches, 2 small bags of chips and 2 cans of soda for about $ 18. The meat was freahly BBQed-if thats a word-thinly sliced and moist. The sandwiches were on a soft roll and just delicious!

I like it! I like it! We always buy our prime ribs here. We order a day or so in advance and pick up the day before we are ready to cook em up. I love the freebies they give us too. And then the extra bonus is when you save up your receipts and get some free samiches!!! I can’t complain one bit. Long time local business. Show them some support. Oh, and love the ladies that work the counter too, and the fella tending the bbq must be pretty cool too cuz I’ve never complained about my samiches!

I’m a fan. They have what I was looking for which is pretty rare. Family owned business with a down home feel. They’re serious about what they do and aim to please all customers. I’ve been looking for a legit place that has precisely cut bone marrow, they delivered the best product yet. Great steaks, sausages, roasts etc. I’ll be back, I’m a loyal customer in just 3 visits here.

I came here for meat only. I never tried their lunches(but from what I was told, they are good), so I wouldn’t know how those are, but the meat and seafood are okay(no, I’m not too hyped, but they’re not that bad either). Sadly it’s not organic and it does not have any certificates whether the animals were fed with antibiotics or not, so it’s up to you to decide how much you care about that. Chicken breasts were(way too small) and not all that good in my opinion. Beef was better(tri-tip). Lobster tails and shrimp were also good. The staff knows their meat and know how to advise you if you’re clueless what to buy. The prices are okay. I’d say lower than Safeway, but still more expensive than(bigger cuts of) chicken at Trader Joe’s for example. I’d say come here if you’re having a party for many people and need a lot of meat or seafood. That might get you some discounts(they also have some sort of discount if you buy over $ 505 times). But if you’re only buying it for yourself and not in bulk, then rather visit just for lunch and buy meat elsewhere. Their building is pretty easy to miss though — they are on the corner of San Leandro Boulevard and Williams Street. A yellow(ish) building with a forklift in the back(if you’re coming from Williams Street). You’ll have to park on the street though, cause they don’t have their own parking lot.

Fantastic sandwiches. I will most definitely return for another and also to try the BBQ. The butcher counter offers very reasonably priced meats. I also ordered 1lbs of bacon which was very thick cut. The price was several dollars less than that which an be found at Safeway and of better quality. I’m looking forward to returning!!!

On Saturday, 1÷10÷15, my friend and I grabbed a sandwich from Lunardi’s for breakfast. Atmosphere/Décor: We decided to eat our sandwich at Lunardi’s. We sat down at one of the 3 tables inside. There’s a designated area where the sandwiches are prepared. The freezer section has a variety of meats that you can purchase and cook yourself. Food: My friend and I both ordered their special sandwich(Ham, Pastrami, Salami, Roast Beef, Turkey, with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mayonnaise on a French roll.) This sandwich was huge! I couldn’t even fit my mouth around it and take a normal bite! You get a significant amount of meat in this sandwich. All of the meats tasted really good and fresh. The meats were perfectly stacked and layered. I really liked the French roll as well. It was very soft and tasted fresh. Service: The lady that took my order was very nice and personable. I’m assuming she was the owner, a family member or the wife of the owner. I’m glad she recommended their special sandwich to me. Overall: If you want a good tasting sandwich packed with tons of meat Lunardi Al & Sons Meat Co is the place for you. The sandwich I ate was a definite steal for only costing $ 5.50. I’ll definitely come back to Lunardi’s. Next time I hit up Lunardi’s I’m going to buy some of their smoked linguica and make my girlfriend and I linguica’s sandwiches!

Meat market located near the San Leandro BART but can be easily missed when driving by as I have numerous times. Easy residential street parking. Phone orders encouraged for simplified pick up. Daily specials — my favorite is Tri-tip Wednesday! I also ask for it dipped with provolone cheese added on, and combo it(comes with a drink and side of mac salad, potato salad or chips). Comes out to $ 7 which is so reasonable! Cheese add on is only 50 cents and you get way more than those little triangles at Subway hahah. Credit cards accepted and friendly customer service. Mostly a to-go type place but there are a few tables if you want to eat there. And as I mentioned in the beginning, this is actually a meat market with very good selection and varieties of meats, sausages, etc. at reasonable prices. They also have catering options.

During all my years of living in San Leandro, how did I not discover this place?! Tucked away in a building near San Leandro Downtown Bart is a gem of a place called Lunardi Al & Sons Meat Co. Maybe I’ve never discovered it because it sounds like a meat packing or distributing company(they sell meat by the tons) but little did I know that they also serve lunch! Freshly sliced meats are prepared and sold everyday, and for every day of the week, there is a meat sandwich special. However, their Tuesday lunch special is the best deal in town! For $ 5, you get a tri-tip sandwich with chips or macaroni/potato salad with soda. Seriously?! Nowhere else can you find this kind of deal. The macaroni/potato salad tastes homemade(not sure if it is) and isn’t of cheap quality. It’s not just any kind of meat sandwich either. As I mentioned before, this is a meat packing company. The quality is of the highest caliber and the meats always taste fresh. The staff are also friendly and always strike up a conversation every time I’m in here. Dining tables are scarce to say the least(there is one) and parking sucks. I always have to park at the gas station across the street. But if you’re just in and out, nothing can beat this lunch spot!
