I REALLY wish I could give ¹⁄₅ points on Unilocal; I’d give this establishment a 2.5 if I could, but not a full 3. Thus the 2 star rating… Here’s the good and the bad. Yes, I might use them again. But I might look elsewhere, too.
Via there website, I ordered a simple-​but-​elegant Casket Spray of all white carnations, lily’s, gladioli, and greenery. It was pretty, but MUCH SMALLER than I expected for the amount of money paid. The following day I also ordered a living plant on behalf of some out-​of-​town family members. Didn’t get the plant originally ordered, details below. Paid separately for each order, therefore additional delivery fees for the 2 orders, although they were going to the SAME place at the SAME time. Sucks for me… you’d THINK they’d combine that, but no, anything for a profit! I’d probably look elsewhere, even willingly pay more, for better quality and service in future floral needs. Read on for further details, if interested!
THE GOOD: affordable, quick, kind. After looking online for reasonably priced AND quick floral needs for my mother-in-law’s funeral arrangements that happened very fast, I went with this business because it:
A) Had a local website WITH prices listed (many I viewed didn’t!)
B) Could deliver what we needed to the FUNERAL HOME, with a more reasonable delivery fee ($ 8 as opposed to the $ 12 or more others charged)
C) Would deliver on a weekend AND quickly! Everything online — though a bit less expensive — either didn’t deliver to funeral homes or on weekends or both!
THE BAD: Hard to reach, seemed a bit disorganized in our orders, failed to pay attention to details provided in the online forms. Even though I CLEARLY indicated on the 2^nd order that it needed to be delivered during a specific time AND I provided the funeral home’s direct contact information in case there were problems, the person I eventually spoke with didn’t seem to be aware of that information. I guess they worked it out, because the items were present when we arrived for the final viewing that Sunday…
A) Once placed, there’s NO way to edit the messages, edit, or add to an order. When dealing with grieving people, this is a MUST! It’s easy to forget important details, and it’s just as important to have a way of updating or correcting those mistakes easily, either online or personal contact. Leading to…
B) Direct contact with this business is VERY difficult, making such changes extra frustrating! There email link listed on the website bounced back, they have NO VOICE MAIL OR ANSWERING SYSTEM for incoming messages during off-​hours, and although they list business hours on Saturday starting at 9:00 a.m., I called constantly starting at that time but reached NO ONE until 10:30 a.m. Since the funeral home required delivery BEFORE noon that day AND NO SUNDAY delivery, AND I couldn’t change anything online, it was important I could reach them, but it was difficult to do so.
C) There was NO BANNER RIBBON on the ordered arrangements. OK, but there was also NO INFORMATION STATING THERE’D *BE* NO BANNER, nor was there an option to ORDER one for an additional fee. When ordering funeral floral arrangements and taking the time to add a «message», you EXPECT a banner! If there’s not one, you expect to be informed ahead of time and make a choice to either forgo or add one. Arriving to the funeral home and finding no banner was upsetting to both my husband and I!
D) They didn’t review how the names were spelled in the written online orders for the cards, and therefore miss-​spelled multiple names, twice! WHY HAVE the space for a written message, take the TIME to write out EXACTLY how things should be spelled and said, and then IGNORE the order as written!!!
E) PAY ATTENTION TO THE SUBSTITUTION CLAUSE!!! Sure, I read it too. But we spent a fair amount of time choosing a SPECIFIC living plant FOR A REASON, and when I finally DID reach someone, I was informed that their «Saturday stock is low» and they DIDN’T HAVE ANY of the plants we’d looked at or ordered! So we ended up with a nice hearty lily plant, but it wasn’t what we’d chosen. If they don’t HAVE the stock, then WHY WAS IT LISTED AS AVAILABLE FOR NEXT DAY DELIVERY ON THEIR WEBSITE???
Bottom line: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Maybe you’ll be pleased with the result, maybe you won’t. Had I more time, I’d have looked around and better planned. But I didn’t, so sometimes you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do… I hope YOU have more time for your own floral needs!

I decided to walk into this store to inquire about a wedding bouquet. Upon walking in we quickly looked around and waited to be addressed. We were the only ones in this small store so you definitely couldn’t have missed us. It wasn’t until I asked if they had any wedding bouquet samples that we were finally acknowledged. They informed us that the store was closed and that because it was mothers day weekend they would not be taking any orders. This response is fine and completely understandable but what really bothered me and my mother was the attitude and tone that this information was given to us. The older woman had an unfriendly attitude and it was very blatant that she did not want to help us or have us be in her store. Their business must be doing really well to push away customers like they did today. I will for sure never walk back into this store.

My sister sent an arrangement to my daughter and showed me what the it was supposed to look like on the site. Although some of the flowers were similar, the colors used were not, so instead of a colorful arrangement it was all monotone. The arrangement was also very small for the price paid. I would recommend going elsewhere. Definitely not worth the money

I received a flower arrangement for Mother’s Day (ordered from another state). When the arrangement arrived, it was so pathetic that after looking at it for about a half an hour — I drove it back to Don Lucas shop to ask if this was really how the arrangement was supposed to look? The florist did redo the arrangement… I am sad to say that the flowers, even with changing the water often, did not even last an entire week. I feel bad that the person who sent me the arrangement spent money on such a sad, short-​lived, not pretty flower arrangement — and had to pay so much for the delivery charges. Yikes! I do not think that I would go to Don Lucas & Sons for my floral needs especially since there are other local florists to patronize. I must say I was very disappointed and have never received such an awful bunch of flowers!

after reading the only posted review… i was a bit hesitant to use them but as it was… it was kinda last minute and i was striking out just about everywhere else i went to get what i needed for Valentine’s Day.
i decided that since they were close to my duaghter’s school why not? tehy came through when i needed it. not only did they have what i needed… they di d a great job of asking me enough questions to make the arraignment exactly what i wanted but they did a great job of packaging it for travel. excellent service and teh price didn’t hurt too bad either
