History

Established in 2008.

Jess is a bay area (Oakland, CA) native who has worked in the hair & beauty industry since age 14. Raised by her loving mother (with support of her father and siblings) who always encouraged her to be strong and work hard for what she wanted, she knew that anything was possible.

As a receptionist/​assistant at a local salon in Oakland, CA, she learned a lot about hair care and styling and is forever indebted to her bay area mentors Lawana Macon and Leiandra Baker-​Pierce and many more. She was able to work for 4 years at Heavenly Hands Hair Salon in Oakland, Ca before moving to Southern California for college. Although her passion is hair, she continued her education and excelled scholastically.

After moving to Southern California and while obtaining her B.S. in Business at Cal Poly Pomona, she went on to become a licensed cosmetologist whose number one goal is healthy hair. Jess is now back in the Bayarea working as a professional hair stylist in San Leandro, CA.

In January 2016, Jess relocated back to the Bayarea to start a new, yet familiar chapter, and to continue to peruse her goals and passions near her loved ones. Jess is currently working with her great friend and previous co-​worker at KMP’s Hair Design in San Leandro, CA.
