I will miss this place, so sorry to see it close after being a great business ran by wonderful ladies. Always very nice and helpful, and just an all around upbeat attitude. Good luck ladies.

I have been a member here for almost 4 years! I absolutely love this place! Beds are always available, many selections of different beds and stand ups. The prices are amazing for monthly deals! I am so sad that you guys will be closing, I hope you can open in the area again! I will most definitely miss the amazing staff!

I love this place! I had bought a Groupon a while back and finally decided to use it. I’ve not tanned in many years, because the place by my house is crap! So, I thought I’d drive a little further and give this one a try. The people are so friendly! The place is CLEAN! I’m a little harsh on cleanliness and this spot really meets my inspection. The beds are really nice, high quality, AND never a burnt out bulb which was a real complaint I had about the place here in CV. Also, they leave you delicious chocolates! I adore this place and will continue to go back when I need some tan skin.

This facility is the best. So clean, so peaceful nice air conditioned. The girl who works literally like everyday (well she’s always there when I go) is so nice, high energy and chatty she makes you feel very welcomed. I love that they have unlimited spray tan for 60 bucks a month that’s like unheard of. I moved here 2 years ago and had been still traveling to san Jose where my family lives to get unlimited spray tan for a good deal. So happy I found this spot. Its never too busy I am always in and out. The color looks great! I never used versa spa (always mystic tan) and it comes out natural not orange and there are 3 levels. I cant wait to try the actual tanning beds.

Went here because I saw a coupon for it and when I arrived they were welcome, very clean place, I explained I was new and Nikol showed me how to do the spray tan bed. She gave me a lot of education and directions. She was professional and Lexus was also sweet when she checked me in and helpful ! Very clean place ! Bathroom on point and they even had little products if needed. Also in the room for my spray tan they had a Gardelli chocolate and clean towel and hair net too. Nice job Gold & Bare!

Super nice and helpful staff. It was my first time here and I tried out the spray tan and the girls were really helpful in showing me what to do and really informative in aftercare. They even have a chocolate for each session. Great customer service and a easy breezy first time spray session! Highly recommend!

I’ve come here for years and I love this place. Feels like family, everyone working is a delight. The machines are clean, I never burn, and everyone is really helpful when I am having a hard time figuring out which bed to use. The spray tan machine is AMAZING, if you’re black/​brown, do the level 3… you will see results.
They always have amazing specials on tans, gold dollars, and lotions. Parking is plentiful, and its located in a cute shopping plaza if you need groceries, a snack, an outfit, or to get your nails done. The chocolates are such a plus, I look forward to enjoying them in the car on my way home, nice and brown!

I love this place, the staff is super friendly and professional. They always greet me and make sure I am pleased with my results. The front desk staff know their tanning lotions very well and have helped me numerous times but what really impressed me was when I lost my necklace! They had it in their lost and found which I couldn’t have been more happy because the necklace was very expensive so with that said they are a great place that I can trust and feel comfortable with.

Bought a groupon for gold and bare, I was impressed with their customer service, beds, design, and quality of beds. Unsure why they needed a groupon, I work in Union city and will drive all the way to SLd just to tan with them.

We needed to get a little color before our wedding in Mexico and thank goodness Groupon introduced us to Gold and Bare Tanning.
The beds here are great, even the lower level ones. They’re always super clean and updated AND the staff always has a Godiva chocolate waiting for you in the bed! What more could you ask for in life?
I don’t remember the names of the two younger girls that were working most when we were there, but they are seriously the sweetest people ever! They are very knowledgable and great at helping you decide which beds to go into and for how long. They also gave us free upgrades to their vip beds as a wedding present, and considering we were on a Groupon in the first place, that was truly going above and beyond. We left Mexico with a gorgeous tan and did not burn once while we were there!
We’re not tanners normally, so unfortunately we won’t likely be frequenting this place a lot, but I’m so glad we found Gold and Bare and that we have a go-​to tanning place in case something does come up. If you’re needing a glow, don’t hesitate to check them out!

I came here for my first time EVER on Friday with a really good friend of mine and my mother in law. Hali helped us out. She was SO friendly and just amazing with how she welcomed us and showed us everything we needed to know. I came back today because I’m leaving on vacation tonight and I was so EXCITED that she was working today. She’s so sweet and I willl forever come back because of her. Thank you Hali!!! For my visit I was able to get a free tan since I was new. I then signed up for the email and texts, which will give me another 2 free tans (who doesn’t love free stuff!!)
I’ll probably only do a 2 week or month package because I tan very easily but I will be definitely coming back and make a purchase as well as take advantage of the freebies!

I found this tanning salon here on Unilocal and went by today to check it out. The front desk was very helpful and welcoming she answered all my questions and gave me a tour. I was able to try out a tanning bed for free along with a lotion! The lady who helped me was so nice! I’m from San Diego and have not found a decent tanning salon in the Bay Area but this is definitely my new place! I will be signing up and they have great offers so I’m so excited!

I’m back! I can’t help but absolutely adore the ladies here! After not doing the tanning beds for about 2 years I thought to my self… «It’s time to tan again» And I’m so glad I did. They welcomed me back with open arms. Love love love it here!!! I wish they were more Gold and Bare around the Fremont or Union City but just for their services I will come back no matter what.

Went today for the first time since our local tanning place had their spray tan machine not working. So glad they did. This place is so wonderful. My friend and I had a perfect experience. The girl at the front desk was so friendly. She was patient as we didn’t really know what we were doing. My friend got her tan for free as it was her birthday. I paid about $ 14 for first timer. The place I’ve been to before was $ 35 a pop. They even give a small chocolate treat after. Now it’s about 6 hours later and the tan is coming in really nice. Will definitely be back!

I have been here twice to use the Versa Spa and have had excellent results both times. I have pretty fair skin and do the level 2 and the result is a very even natural looking tan. My sister in law is half Persian and does the level 3 and turns into a bronze goddess. Just purchased the groupon for three versa tans and am headed over tomorrow to get a nice glow for my trip to the Bahamas next week! Make sure you don’t forget to use the blocking lotion on hands and feet… tan also

This is my first time spray tanning and it was the best! Me and my friend stopped by on a Sunday just before they closed. Laura (the owner) suggested that we could come back Monday. Unfortunately we did not have access to a car Monday so Laura suggested that she could pick us up. Best service or what? So today Monday she picked us up, stopped by Starbucks and even bought us a frappucino. We got the best information about the spray tan and you get 50% if it’s your first time here. So it was ridiculous cheap! When we were done Laura drove us home again. Can’t believe people like Laura exist. I would definitely go back every time im in California. Her saloon is really fresh and nice, you won’t be disappointed!

I first came into this salon about a week ago, and am very pleased with the results I am already seeing. I have tanned at about every establishment in the east bay and this salon is one of the best. The beds themselves are clean, have brand new bulbs & the packages offered are competitively priced for the area.
My first tan was free, and when I came back I signed up for a monthly membership at only $ 40 a month unlimited tanning + 20% all lotion purchases and either 1 or 2 free upgrades to the higher level beds a month. Only 3 tans later and I have already began tanning (yay! bye bye pale skin!)
The girls who work there are very nice and ready to answer my questions. They have my favorite tanning lotion line, Designer Skin.
The only reason the stars are 4, and not 5, is because of the hours on the weekend. I would definitely prefer a later opening on saturdays and sundays but this place is definitely a gem.

If you are inpatient and want quick results, come here! I was in desperate need of a leg tan. I personally do not tan easily, therefore spray tanning is the best alternative for me.
The girls at the front desk are super sweet. As a new customer I was offered a free tanning session worth $ 16. Awesome! Since I only wanted to spray tan my legs, I paid $ 2. What a deal!
They offer a variety of packages and their equipment is well advanced. If you have somewhere to go, I recommend getting the tan the day before. Once you are sprayed you do not see the results until hours later, I personally did not see results until the next day. So make sure you plan ahead :) Happy tanning.
