I just finished invisalign with Dr. Stephenson & Teri. I love the result and everything about the whole experience. Everyone is very professional, friendly, great at what they do and the office is always clean. Everything’s been easy and smooth, 2 years came by very quick. Thanks to the amazing team at Dr. Bruce Stephenson dental office :).
I have a few tips i’d like to share with those who are new to aligners. My nails are weak, so I always use a thin stainless steel measuring spoon to take out the aligners. After i took them out to brush my teeth, i soaked them in hydrogen peroxide water solution (50%water + 50%hydrogen peroxide). Buying hydrogen peroxide from costco is cheaper than if you buy from cvs. Before i put the aligners back on my teeth, i would rinse and brush them with a toothbrush that i specifically used for this purpose. Soaking the aligners in the hydrogen peroxide and water solution will remove any smell the aligners may get. Lastly, wearing the aligners for 22 hours/​day will keep your teeth staying on tracks. When they get off tracks, it’s hard to make them back on tracks again.

Teri and Bruce are very friendly and professional. I had my invisalign treatment done at their location and I’m very satisfied with their service. They are super nice, flexible and great at what they do. You can tell the difference in my smile, not to mention the compliments I get from people. I highly recommend this place. :)

My family has been going to Dr Stephensons office for almost 30 yrs. They do very good work, and are honest regarding what work needs to be done!

I have a different kind of story about Bruce Stephenson. I work in the medical/​dental department at Delancey Street Foundation, a program that helps men and women who have somehow hit bottom in there lives get back on their feet. We have people who have been homeless, spent years in prison, drug addicted — you name it. People come for a minimum of two years and we teach them vocational skills, how to dress, how to talk etc. We also take care of their health needs. One of the final touches is teeth. So many of them have never taken care of their teeth.
Bruce has been donating his time and services to our clients for years. He sees the worst of the worst, usually complete dentures. The people that he sees have been with us for a while and have been working on themselves on the «inside» and to be able to change on the «outside» is just as important.
Bruce and Teri have been such supporters of us, even sending out requests for help from every other dentist they know, making our clients feel comfortable and welcome, completely non-​judgemental. So, I just want to say thank you for all the help you give and being such a huge part of changing people’s lives.

Dr. Stephenson was amazing. First of all, had the worst tooth pain the night before the 4^th of July holiday. My wife called all the local dentist on the 4^th to see if any were open. Dr. Stephenson was the only one available and he took me in right away first thing in the morning. He extracted my tooth without any feeling of uncomfortableness. Very professional and friendly, and also called me later on the day to check in to see how I was. Compassionate, caring and great service. Would totally recommend Dr Stephenson.

Our entire family has been with Bruce Stephenson for decades. We ended up in his practice, though we live quite a distance away, because we’d already gone to several other practices where we’d found a lack integrity, i.e. advising excessive x-​rays, etc. We have always been really satisfied with Bruce and his staff: competent, honest, friendly, and funny! Lately one member of our family got invisalign braces at Nice Teeth Dental. The service with Bruce and Terry was the same excellent quality, attention to detail, clear explanations of treatment, honesty, and exceptional friendliness we’ve always gotten. Though the family member did not enjoy having the braces (no fault of Nice Teeth), she did enjoy going for her appointment with Bruce and Terry! We
highly recommend this practice!

Bruce is amazing! :D I’ve just finished the whole process of Invisalign! I couldn’t be happier! I used to be so self-​conscious, but now I’m extremely confident! I’m truly so happy I could cry! There is such a HUGE difference between where my teeth are now and where they were before! Invisalign is definitely the way to go, if you’re looking to correct any flaws in your teeth. And the service they give is fantastic! Everyone is so nice and warm. It’s just like having a second family. I’ve never actually enjoyed going to the dentist until now. The wait is sooo short. They have you in and out. They’re also very patient and understanding. There’s been a few times when I was late and they waited for me anyway. And there’s been plenty of times, like today, when I’ve come early and they took me when I came. I’d recommend this dental office 500%! They are absolutely spectacular!

I have never been one to do a review, but I felt that I needed to warn people. This review is solely based on my experience with Dr. Bruce Stephenson.
The first time I met with Dr. Stephenson was for an invisalign. I have pretty straight teeth expect for my peg laterals. My teeth are also pretty small especially my peg laterals. At my first consultation with Dr. Stephenson (which lasted less than 5 mins) he told me that invisalign was overkill because I only needed my peg laterals to be corrected. He suggested MTMs, minor teeth movement, with veneers after the treatment. MTMs was suppose to prepare my teeth for veneers and was «a cheaper and faster» treatment than invisalign. I ended up paying $ 1300 for the MTMs. Every 2 weeks, I would come in for a «new tray» sometimes they would only make little dents on the old tray to «push» the tooth back and every time I went in after the consultation was to see Terry, his assistant. The next time I saw Dr. Bruce was when I was «finished» with the treatment. At the last appointment I told him that I felt that like the peg laterals were in the same position as when I started. He told me that it was because it was MINOR movement and that it was in a good position for veneers. He told me to keep wearing the tray until I get my veneers.
Ill admit, I pushed the appointment with Dr. Chen (the veneer specialist) for 6 months, however, I was still wearing my tray for 20+ hrs everyday until I lost it 2 weeks before I saw Dr.Chen. At the appointment with Dr. Chen took a quick look and saw that my peg laterals were not in a good position for veneers and that if I wanted to put the veneers in, he would have to shave off a huge chunk of my tooth, which can affect the tooth in the future. He explained that it would be ideal for my tooth to be straightened out with braces so that there will be less shaving. He recommended me to a different orthodontics to get a different opinion as well as to go back to Dr. Stephenson to see what he had to say.
The following week I went to the San Leandro Orthodontics to have a consultation with Dr. Huang. He explained to me that the MTMs was a bad idea if I wanted to get veneers. He also said that invisalign was not an option for me since my teeth were so small and also, I had an overbite that needed to be corrected. Dr. Stephenson did NOT explained any of these problems to me. I thought MAYBE it was because Dr. Stephenson doesn’t do regular ceramic or metal braces and wanted my business or maybe Dr. Huang wanted my business as well so I found a third orthodontic and he told me the exact same thing as Dr.Huang.
So I went back to see Dr. Stephenson and told him about the situation. He told me the only thing to do is to do another tray to push it back (not straighten) for the veneer. I asked if I would have to pay more for the new tray and he said he would have to check. In comes Dr. Chen and he AGAIN explained that it would be ideal to STRIAGHTEN my peg laterals instead of pushing it back. In the middle of Dr. Chen’s assessment, Dr. Stephenson gets up and leaves without saying anything. His assistant comes back later with a paper and said it was going to be $ 600 for the new tray and if we should make the mold today. I told her I just wasted $ 1300 and she wants me to waste another $ 600?
Now on top of the $ 1300 I wasted, I have to pay $ 4,000 for regular braces.
Dr.Chen is a really nice guy. However, because of the experience I had with Dr. Stephenson, I might have to consider going somewhere else for my veneers.

This is by far the best dentistry I’ve ever been to. I have been to 5 different dentists who do not come anywhere near the level of NTD service wise. The costs are average but the people here do an excellent job, are extremely friendly and sincerely care about their patients. If you’re willing to spend alittle more I would highly recommend going to NTD.
A short little story… Before I came here my front tooth had been chipped years ago and my previous dentist told me I had to get it capped. I was pretty upset by this because both my parents have caps and it it very obvious, but after coming here for invisalign they fixed my front tooth FOR FREE without capping it by using a new type of filling. They did a great job and it looks totally natural. I had only paid for the invisalign treatment but they really cared that I would be happy with my teeth and fixed it :) I am very happy with my new teeth and just wanted to say thank you to nice teeth dental!

Like the other reviews have mentioned, Bruce and Teri are amazing. I went to two other dental offices prior to them for Invisalign assessment and was recommended metal braces or a long Invisalign treatment. When I went to Bruce, he examined my teeth and said it wasn’t a issue. I completed my treatment in less than a year and is extremely happy with the result. Their price was also the lowest of the three quotes I received.

Bruce and Teri are ahhh-​mazing.
I wasn’t your traditional crooked tooth client;) My teeth were receeding back so that they weren’t really front and center when I smiled. Also due to having had conventional braces x2, they had been filed a little short, so I came to Dr. Stephenson to address those two less than «selfie ready» blemishes, on what is my smile.
The treament plan we agreed on was the full invisalign tx with complimentary whitening. I am also having Bruce perform bonding to contour some short and stubbies and to give my smile that movie star je né sais quoi!
It will be a year in December and I have seen such a difference. I have maybe 2 more months to go.
Very, very excited for the bonding and I will absolutely post before and after photos.
Bruce and Teri have such great bedside manner. Terri is always lifting my spirits and one time I thought I had developed a cavity and Bruce gave me a complimentary check up with no questions asked. They are happy people and they work hard for you.
I just love them, I love them so much I even reffered my boss who agrees their work is amazing.
Pros if you are considering invisalign:
Bruce and Teri administer the most invisalign tx’s in the bay area
They now offer expedited invisalign tx
They will go above and beyond for you
(One time Teri dropped my trays off at work for me, because I was to busy to get them)
They give you bleach in the beginning and then offer a hearty discount on your next order of professional dental bleach.
They use the real deal invisalign, where some DDS will create a «clear reatiner» in a lab and call it invisalign. (Those are why people think invisalign doesn’t work) It’s because they are not actually even getting invisalign. So make sure you come to these nice people who offer the highest tier of invisalign products.

Dr. Bruce Stephenson is the most experienced and friendly invisalign dentist in San Leandro along with his assistant Teri. An orthodontist told me Invisalign wont work, and required 4 teeth to be extracted for metal braces. I came here for a second opinion, and Dr. Stephenson told me the opposite; he found my crowded teeth treatable with invisalign and required no extractions because he practices minimally invasive dentistry. He just asks that you wear the aligners 22 hours a day. The treatment costs are affordable and cost less than metal braces at the orthodontist. The follow up appointments are 6 – 8 weeks, but mostly takes under 10 minutes. Teri checks your progress and gives you the next set of aligners, Dr. Stephenson checks from time to time. They also let you pick a convenient time to pick up your aligners and they are available on Saturdays. I just finished my treatment and it only took 14 months, much less time than I anticipated. Metal Braces probably takes 2 – 3 years to straighten teeth. Im very happy with my new smile and I highly recommend this place for invisalign.

I was referred here through my co-​worker. I had braces before but didn’t wear my retainer after so a couple spaces came back that I wanted to correct but didn’t wanna do braces all over again. So I went here and been super happy. Far as invisalign itself. I have no complaints. Yea, taking out the guards over and over to eat and clean is a hassle but flossing is a hassle with braces, brushing, eating other things are a hassle so way better alternative. Far as the practice. Teri is amazing. Super friendly hard worker and terrific person. Answers all my questions. Bruce is great at what he does. Always a smile on his face and detailed. I have recommended everyone I know here and recommend those who read this review as well. My wife is next to come.

They listen to every word I say and do everything in their power to grant my every request. They are great with my son who has been coming to the office since he was 2 years old. They are both humble and professional and I am amazed with the results in my smile. Dr Bruce Stephenson is the BEST dentist around. If your looking to get invisalign, he is definitely the dentist to see. Him and his assistant Terry are amazing and super nice. I have never been so comfortable and taken such good care of at a dentist before. I live in Sacramento and I travel to San Leandro which is 2 hours away just to go to him. I highly recommend him, there is no better choice.

Today was my final Invisalign appointment. I am astounded by the new smile I have. One year ago today, I never would have fathomed that my teeth would look as good as they do right now. At first, I contemplated doing veneers to give myself a straight smile. Now, I am so happy I went with Invisalign. I have a NATURAL and perfect smile for a reasonably low monthly payment!
Dr Stephenson is one of the best dentists I have ever had the pleasure of getting work done by. I am a perfectionist and, to no surprise, I am insanely picky about the cosmetic appearance of my teeth. Throughout this entire process, I have never felt the need to explain what I want and expect for my teeth. He knew EXACTLY what I needed to obtain my current Hollywood-​like smile. I could not be happier with the service he provides and I am so thankful for his expertise.
As for the rest of the staff, they are all courteous and kind. Terri consistently went out of her way to make sure I could make it to my appointments despite my hectic work schedule. She also made it extremely convenient for me to pick up my new trays considering I live all the way in San Francisco!
Overall, I couldn’t ask for more from a dental service. It’s very rare to find a place that has absolutely no flaws. I don’t write many reviews, but this one undoubtedly deserved it. As I tell everyone that asks, this was definitely one if the best things I’ve ever spent my hard earned money on. Thank you for everything!

Sorry if I sound like a TV commercial, LOL, but I just received my last 4 Invisalign trays yesterday and goodness I’m excited!!! From beginning to end, the whole process will take a little less than a year for me to complete. From day 1, I was impressed with the equipment used, it wasn’t like the prehistoric equipment my other dentist still uses today…(shhhh), I was impressed. I was treated with respect and they worked with me financially so that I could afford the smile I’ve longed for. Teri is so sweet, she freakin’ rocks! She has bent over backwards for me even when I lost my Invisalign trays… and she’s just always kind and PROfessional. Bruce, now that’s a dapper dude right there. He is one funny guy and makes you feel comfortable. Before I hated going to the any type of dental appointments, now it’s just another day at the office. :)
I cannot say enough good things about the outstanding work they do. A killer smile will boost your confidence, you owe it to yourself. Don’t wait another day, do it today! So go ahead and go for it, this is an investment that’s sure to please!

Invisalign is a wonderful tool and Dr. Stephenson is very comprehensive when determining all your needs, fears and goals. Dr Stephenson is the best dentist I know. He is extremely knowledgeable and one of the nicest people too. I can’t say enough about him so you must just come and see for yourself.
I can’t imagine you would find a better dentist! I have been coming to his office for over five years. I never thought I would say this but I love going to the dentist now, I look forward to it because every time I leave my teeth look better and better.
